I had a few sessions before I got married and I loved the results...just wish I had the money to keep it up as a semi rregular thing........just remember you will need to wear a good sunblock facecream as it does make your skin more sensitive to UV rays.......your skin will feel as smooth as a babies bottom however especially if you can afford to have a few treatments.
I am using an at home kit which is so much cheaper and works just as effectively. Mine cost $40 and I should get heaps of uses if I use it once a week. I love the way my skin feels. Just have to be careful not to rub too hard.
I'm using the Avon Micro Exfoliant. I've used the Nutrimetics one at a few parties but it's twice the cost and IMO the Avon one feels nicer and is probably the cheapest I've ever seen around.
Well the verdict is in, I had my appointment today and my skin now feels really smooth. Bit tender in some spots, but hopefully over the next few days it will look even better. yay!
I have microdermabrasion quite regularly, my mum is a beautician so i know a bit about it. It's better to get them done weekly for the first few times, then monthly. What it does is it slowly removes the dead skin cells. Your skin gets a build up of dead skin so having it done regularly will slowly remove it. Once you have done that it smooths the skin help smooth out acne, pigmentation, uneven skin tone, scarring. Good on stretch marks, but that will take quite a few to start getting results. It's expensive but worth it. Using a exfoliant is good but not strong enough to take all the dead skin off. When you do have it you must wear suncream after and for a few day's after when outside because your skin will be sensitive and will burn easier. Your skin is a bit tender after but nothing to woory about or sore but is great after. Worth a try
kts64s - my skin wasn't really bad i have a bit of acne scarring and dry skin on my face. I've probably had a bout 15 treatments not close together over 2 years my skin feels really soft and smooth after and my scarring is slowly smoothing out. I can still see it close up but not as bad

Oooh, I'll have to try the avon one. Last time I had a facial the girl suggested I try microdermabrasion, and I've never had the spare money to go and get it done
