    Leg waxing?

How long does leg hair have to be to be waxed?

Ive never done anything like that before, Im a shaver, but seeing as I never get to shower alone and trying to contort in the shower while supervising toddler intruders or finding time to shave outside the shower, I thought Id look into it.
I havent shaved in two days because Dh is away til next wednesday. Do you think thats long enough to grow the hair and have it waxed? Im already super *****ly and yesterday was the 'hair growing back and itching me' stage.

Im trying to be brave and get my bikini done at the same time but Im a bit of a chicken

Bikini hurts less than ankles. I cant remember but I think if the hairs are visible then it should be fine. Maybe go in and ask?

You mean at a salon? I've never had it done. I wax at home with strip wax and it needs to be quite long to be able to 'grip' the wax - like at least 5mm, but better if it's a bit longer. I think that with hot wax it doesn't need to be as long...
hopefully someone else can help you.

5mm - 1/2 a cm. Keep in mind, because you've been shaving, you'll have a second hair growth coming through so you wont have that "silky smooth" feeling the first couple of times you wax. It takes a few times of waxing before they will all come out together as the hair grows in three different stages. Good luck! P.S. I think bikini hurts way less than legs
Also, make sure you exfoliate really well leading up to the day of your appt. and dont apply any moisturiser to the areas the morning of your wax.

Also even though waxing hurts a bit the longer you do it the less it hurts and the stubble regrowth is no-where near as *****ly as shaving stubble. It looks a bit haggard when you have to let it grow a bit but its starting to get cold now anyway so its easier to hide Good luck!! Oh and bikini is easy peasy- my last brazillian took ten mins so quick!!

I used to always get waxed at a salon..in fact still do, just don't bother with my legs anymore as you need a bit of growth for it work. I have found the best thing for my legs is the depillotory (sp?) creams that come off in the shower with a loofa (usually included). I am using a veet one at the moment. You get them in the supermarket near all the shaving stuff.
I also don't seem to notice a stubble re-growth using the cream.
When I get waxed at my beauty place I have eyebrows and an extended bikini. The more often you do it the less re-growth you get and easier it comes out (or so they tell me...it still hurts a bit!).

I LOVE Veet! Water-soluble wax gets a BIG tick in my book! lol
The hairs have to be pretty long. After shaving I have to wait about a week at least to be able to wax properly, so you do get a little hairy (it's got to be a lot longer than just *****les).
I get really itchy about 10 days afterwards, not sure why. Maybe I need to exfoiliate harder? lol
