SAHM what do you wear around the house?

Just wondering what other sahm's wear around the house?

If i'm having a "home" day where i know we're not going anywhere i just wear track pants, fitted skivvies and singlets over the top (love the layered look hehe).

But if we're going anywhere, ie, shops, lunch, a friends, then i'll wear any of the clothes in my wardrobe. It bugs me though, because i'd rather wear nicer clothes around the house but between cleaning, maintaining a baby and general house duties they'd end up with stains and i wouldn't end up wearing them outside of the house.

SO does anyone else have a set of "house clothes" lol?

I always wear trackies and long tops in winter and shorts and T's in summer - being on a farm I just don't know hwat I could end up doing for the day - same with the kids and no one sees me out here anyway LOL. When I go to town shopping I always dress good and make sure the kids are dressed good

Ugg boots (although wear them out at times too LOL) jeans or trackie dacks and a jumper.

I don't dress up or differently if i have to pop to shops or wherever.

I wear daggy stuff at home. Trackies, tshirts, jumpers, jeans sometimes. Smetimes I just stay in my jarmies if I cant be bothered with showering and changing (terrible, i know). If I go out I usually try to make myself look half decent, so usually I will not wear the trackies out, although I did wear trackies out ALOT when pregnant and when Claire was first born. I'd wear nicer clothes around the house but they'll only get spewed on or something.

Yeah, I'm trackies and uggboots, and somekind of skivvy/cardigan. It's not usually toooo daggy, like if someone popped in to visit I wouldnt' need to change, they're just not going out clothes iykwim.

If I have to go out, I just change into jeans & shoes, usually the top is ok to keep on. Altho I have been known to pop out for bread & milk in my trackies and uggboots (last night! LOL)

jeans/skirt, t-shirt/blouse and a cardigan if it's cooler. I wear what I am comfortable being seen in, although for a home day I won't wear make-up. DH is upset if I'm in bad clothes ands covered in milk stains and so I make sure I look nice for him if no-one else.

Does anyone else have a staggered day for clothes?

I get up at 8am ish (if DD is kind ) and pull on a t-shirt and underwear and a pair of trackies (don't even put a bra on - i sleep in nothing). Then i get DD up and change her nappy and we both slop about in our "PJ's" (although i didn't wear mine in bed, lol) until after breakfast. She's really messy with food just now but i'm fostering her spoon proficiency so i let her get on with it and make a big mess... THen if we're going out in the morning i get us both dressed and off we go.

If we're not going out i might dress us but i might not! Some days she goes down for her 11am nap still in PJ's (don't call the social services on me! LOL)!

If she's gone down for her nap in her pj's i usually don't get dressed until she's sleeping, and that's only if i can tear myself away from BB.... Once i'm "dressed" in jeans or trousers and a top i don't get changed to go out. And i only wear make-up if i'm going out to dinner with DP, and even then, a little concealer and some eyeliner/mascara and that's IT - having said that, my tinted lipbalm is my best buddy....wait is that a whole different thread? LOL

hmm my day works a bit differently!

Stay in pjs until i get a chance to shower (usually late morning when ds has nap), then i put on "house clothes". I wear this until we are going out - at which point i change in to something better which would be jeans, pants, dress, skirt - whatever. I'll wear that while out, then when i get home, i put my house clothes back on! Basically because i don't want any of my clothes i'd wear out to get stained/soiled from cleaning, feeding etc so i put the stuff i dont care about back on.

I don't wear make up around the house, i only wear it if i'm going out somewhere nice - either to catch up with friends or out for lunch. But if i've put it on and i'm back at home i don't take it off. I style my hair every day, but this is only a recent thing because i've got a haircut which needs styling, but its very easy so doesn't take long.

That's what I do too. I only put makeup on when I'm going out to lunch or dinner aswell. Occasionally I'll put it on cause I just want to. Lol.
My house clothes are just my comfy daggy clothes.

I'm a cross between hoobley and Ourlux.

I sleep in the nuddie and when Logan's up for the morning, I pull on PJ pants, a bra and if it's a bit cold a robe (usually DF's!) and I wear that until DS goes down for a nap about 60 to 90 mins later. Then I have a shower and dry myself, get back into the PJ pants, bra and robe ensemble whilst checking my mail and having breakie and then get into jeans and a 'nicer' top for when we have to leave to go somewhere. When we get home, I take off my presentable clothes and get back into the ones I don't care if they get chucked on. This way I can wear the one top for 4 days sometimes as I might only wear it for 40 mins or an hour to go out and do some groceries. Some days are a little quicker such as days when we have to leave the house at 8 to get to an appointment and a few days here and there, I've not actually left the house at all (not many, don't worry!) so I end up wearing the PJ pants all day until I actually, ironically take them off to go to bed!

Lol can't sleep in the nuddie with DH is away, although prolly should as I might be able to scare a wouldbe home invader away, lol
I wear PJ's as I get kids ready and then because I do the school and kindy run most days I dress simply depending on the weather usually denim skirt/shorts/capris and a top, my breast feeding tops have recieved a flogging and I usually wear them in a round.
not really a tracky girl although I am a shortsand shirt girl around the house.
I don't wear makeup unless I'm going out special or feeling like having a dress up day.
    I'm such a dag, lol.

I mostly wear something that is just good enough to go out in. I have such a short window for shopping and things between sleeps and it already takes so long to get two boys ready to leave the house that I can't spend time changing me. If I know I'm not going out (rarely) I will wear something that is really daggy.

My biggest problem is I have so few winter clothes that fit me. And clothes shopping with the boys doesn't bear thinking about so I'm doing lots of washing atm. And still usually have nothing to wear LOL!

I'm another trackies girl. I usually wear trackies, a top and a jumper or zip up hoodie and my uggies! If I have to go out, I'll get changed. Although yesterday I had to duck up to the shops and get some lunch for the guys doing our renos (they are mates of DH's not tradies, I would have made tradies get their own lunch! LOL!) and couldn't be bothered getting changed so went up in my uggies and trackies! Very rarely do that. But when I looked around the shop, every other woman there was dressed the same, obviously SAHMs. It was raining and cold so I guess everyone had the same 'can't be bothered' attitude!

If I know I have to go out later in the day (usually to an ob appt these days), I'll usually just put on my 'going out' clothes after breakfast and a shower, usually around 10am these days because my lovely DD is letting me sleep in till 8/8.30am! (enjoying it while I still can!)

I wear track pants all the time unless i am meeting up with friends and then it is jeans. I'm only just starting to fit in to some of my old nice clothes so it will a change to wear trousers other than jeans and track pants.

I'm the same as Ourlux, until the spills stop, its track pants unless going out. Still don't fit into my jeans, don't think my hips are going back to what they were.

I function in 2 extremes: either wander around bedragled in PJs (albeit nice Peter Alexander ones that I'd feel ok answering the door in LOL) or get dressed immediately in pants and a nice top. I mainly buy Op Shop clothes though so I'm not precious about them... don't buy Op Shop PJs though or dressing gowns... tend to splurge on them. I never wear make up at home either and don't waste electricity styling my hair it just goes up in a pony tail. (Gotta adjust my avatar now that my hair has grown!)

This is all just where i am at this time of my life though... I do look forward to buying a whole brand new wardrobe at some stage when both boys at at school and I return to work. Oh and I never ever wear trackies in public.... and won't let my kids either! Bit of a snob that way
