What natural, chemical-free makeup range do you use?
I am switching over to chemical-free, paraben-free, petroleum-free etc products .... so lipstick, mascarer, eyeshadow, eyeliner, all those common ones!!
I don't wear makeup often, only somewhere special so on average.... once every 6weeks? Probably even less!
My local health store sells a brand 'ere Perez' looks good and reasonably priced!
Can you recommend any you use?
I am tired of make up products full of crap like petrol & paint ingredients this is my face!!!
I use the Sukin products for cleanser, moisturiser, etc. But I have no idea about what natural make-ups are good and it could be expensive trying them all out!! I would like to switch too. And I wonder if they're as good as the regular stuff.
I use Bella Pierre (mineral makeup) and I love them! I highly recommend them! I never, EVER thought I'd get sucked into getting a makeover at one of those stands at my local shopping centre but I'm glad I did. I've never looked back
I use Miessence. I was using Youngblood, but their stuff contains bismuth, which is not good at all. I use organic coconut oil for moisturiser and cleanser.
I bought Ere Perez which I found at my local health store and I love it!! It goes on so nicely and I love the lipstick colour I bought!!! And it doesn't taste like normal lipsticks with all the crap in it, you can tell the difference!!
Expensive but well worth it I think!! they are well hidden from my curious 3yo too!!
I love makeup! Rarely wear it but i have super sensitive skin so only ever use organic stuff. I just like playing with it!
In my collection:
Ere Perez is great - love the rosehip lip bars! Frequently have package deals.
Miessence lovely and smooth but limited range. All certified organic... you could eat the stuff! First ever liquid foundation that didn't make me break out or feel like I wanted to scratch my face off.
Adorn has a great range and heaps of things available as testers. The eyeliners are sooooo smooth. Also have cream eyeshadows which are hard to come by in organic ranges.
Coleur Caramel is a French brand with a huge range. I have an eyebrow pencil and a mineral highlighter which I would happily recommend.
Remember to check the ccf.org.au list for the company's cruelty free record, or check their stuff is certified organic and then it's also cruelty free.
I carry Nude by Nature mineral foundations in my makeup kit for clients, and use it myself. Highly recommend - it's one of the few that doesn't have nasty fillers like talc, and allergy-causing bismuth. Basically the fewer ingredients, the better.
Korres also has lovely products. Can be a bit on the exxy side but so nice. I love their primer, blush and lipsticks.
