    Slow cooker with browning function

I'm in the market for a new slow cooker and I'm really wanting one that has either a browning function or a slow cooker where the crock pot can go on the stove to brown the meat and then straight into the slow cooker. It also needs to have a timer.

    Does anyone have any recommendations??

    Thanks

I cant recommend it yet but I'm planning on upgrading to the Breville BSC560 before next winter.

New Wave 5 in cooker (think is now a 6 in 1) Can brown in the cooker, then slow cook. It is also a steamer, pressure cooker, soup cooker.

^ What she said. I have one but it's not as large as some SC's so it's not good for roasts.

Yep, a fan here! It is small though.

Don't get the Morphy Richards one. Just don't. I was given it after complaining about my old ceramic SC being too big. Everything in the Morphy Richards burnt. Hated it.

Yes yes yes. Although I hardly ever slow cook now, pressure cooking is my favourite thing ever.

So what would be a big size slow cooker with the browning and timer functions? Asking, since the five/six in one is small

I like to cook roasts in mine so the 6 in one wouldn't be any good then?

I don't know if there is one.

The NewWave one is 6litres...how big did you want? It is just quite a narrow circle It is about the same size a regular dutch oven pot.

Sunbeam has a sear and slow cook banquet size. SecretChef it's called. Or there's the versacook which is there 6-in-1 which has a squarish dish suitable for roasting.

Was about to suggest that one. Does it go in the oven too?
My SIL has a banquet sized one that also goes on the stove & in the oven. I'd love one! Mine's only 3.5L.
