I wrote this on my first Mother's day as a mother of an angel. This year will be another lonely Mother's Day but I do have a rapidly filling belly....
Hopefully those of you with Empty Arms on Sunday can get some solace from reading this poem. Perhaps it will help you find a reason to smile through the tears for your precious child.
This Mother’s Day
I’ll cry
I’ll hold my head
In my arms
And weep
I’ll watch others
Holding children
In loving arms
Smiling
And I’ll weep
I’ll think of
What should have been
Holding you
Smiling
And I’ll weep
No day should be
Where a mother
Is not one
Smiling
And I’ll weep
I’ll think of
You darling
In my arms
Silent
And I’ll smile
