SO. im trying to make a giant cup cake. i have an old pudding basin, like the ones you would steam a pudding in. im on my second attempt and its failing fast!!

Bassically it isnt cooking in the middle and burning on the outside!! and its risen really high in the middle. ovens was ment to be at 160 degrees but after it started t burn and was still wobbly in the middle i turned it down and put tin foil on top. the first attempt was so solid, dry but still stodgy in the middle. this one is probably going to be the same even though i started it off at 150 degrees.

Its for a friends kids birthday tomorrow. i dont know why i offered!! im kicking mysekf!! HELP
