lol, I made this yesterday while DD was in one of her moods but in my haste I forgot to grease the pan... It looks like I'm, just going to have to eat it out with a spoon

Yum.. I'm going to the shop!
Ok it's in the fridge! I'm so excited! haha!
Rouge - that looks awesome!! I think I'll have to do that too!
Raupe - yes, it's supposed to come away from the sides of the pan... :)
CrazyLady - I always line my tray with baking paper - so I just pull it out to cut it! :)
It disappeared quick. Dh said that he had many requests for the recipe. It looks so festive too!
Oh yum, just printed out the recipe......will make it Christmas Eve to avoid all early temptations :)
ohhh just made mine with mini m'n'm's!!!! bring on tomorrow!
I thought of that then realised I only have the really crappy coles brand one that is better used as tracing paper  I realised if i cut a piece then use the barbie mate thingo to pull them up it works okay. It's semi presentable for playgroup tomorrow but I think everyone will have a good giggle at my screw up :p I've learnt to laugh at myself doing stupid stuff. the first trimester brainlessness combined with DD toddler makes me mega ditzy right now :p
I thought I should come back to update. O M G ! ! ! :o It was sooooooooooooooooooooooo delicious!! And it turned out just perfect (consistency and deco lol). Everyone at the party was impressed :D Oh and DP really enjoyed the "cut offs" (the not-so-perfect looking pieces). But maybe next time I will plan exactly where I put the m&m's. It got kinda tricky when I tried to cut the fudge and there were m&m's in the way
Crazylady: I didn't have any baking paper at all. I just sprayed the (non-stick) pan, and when the fudge had set I just turned it upside down and it *plopped* right out! :D
SugarDust: Because you can REALLY taste the chocolate, I'd say go for the good quality one. Not the cooking chocolate!
Hey ladies, this sound DELISH - wondering if i swap the choc for dairy free and the butter for nuttelex woudl this work.. what could i use instead of sweetened condensed milk????
Sorry if someone already mentioned, this thread is so HOT HOT HOT i'm lost :)
someones sucessfully used condensed rice milk ZF, i think the recipes in this thread, possible the cherry ripe ball thread
Thanks hun... ohhh might have to give this a try
Does anyone know if i NEED vanilla paste in the sweetened condensed rice milk or is it just for flavor??? was like $10 for the tiniest little jar.
Also damn you dairy free chocolate - $15 JUST for the choc in this recipe... :wall:
i used vanilla extract, i think its sweet enough without though tbh
Ohh great so i don't NEED it.. might just pop a couple of drops of vanilla extract with it then.... ohhh do i dare make it NOW... :)
I'm devestated that I can't get gold cauchous in my hick town
I've got some assorted colours and I'll have to just use them :( But it won't be as good as Rouge's
On the upside, I did eventually find the Xmas m&m's.. :)
Dammit I made it with cooking chocolate GAH!
