How do you make chocolate icing

I'm making vanilla cupcakes , as I'm a baker now lol, so I was wondering for chocolate icing, what would I need?

I have cocoa
Icing sugar

What else?

I usually put a teaspoon of butter and a small amount of water in mixing until i get the consistancy I want.

id say water or butter depending on the icing sugar, make it as the paket sugests but add the cocoa untill you have the flavor you want. (may need extra butter or water to help with the right consistancey?)

I'm no baker, but when MIL did DD's b'day cake she used melted chocolate pieces in with icing sugar/water

Depends what kind of icing you want

You can use icing sugar with butter and the coco beat this up for butter frosting .

Or melt chocolate and cream together to make a think ganache

i cheat and buy the chocolate icing mixture from woolies for about $2 its right next to the normal icing and u just add water and or butter like the other stuff but is already a chocloate flavour

My cupcakes were a hit and hubby said the best part was the icing, which is a huge compliment

Because a) he's a chef
B) he hardly says anything nice ( just joking, I love picking on him lol )
