Question Museli Bar recipes please : )

    Hi all,

I had a great Museli Bar recipe i use to make many years ago but can't find it !

Does anyone have any museli bars recipes that they have made and were yum ?

I'm interested in ones for either adults and/or kids

    TIA

(P.S - i myself love any with honey, almonds, sesame seeds and sunflowers seeds if you have any recipes with them in it too )

Mine's a little bit non-specific - I make up the quantities according to whatever's lying around my house. But that makes it easy...

    2 cups puffed rice
    2 cups muesli/rolled oats
    1 cup nuts/seeds
(if it turns out that I only have, say 1 1/2 cups rice bubbles, I just substitute more oats or seeds. It always works)
1 1/2 cups chopped dried fruit - whatever you want. Apricots and dates are great, I love to add dried papaw or dried pineapple, and maybe the odd glace cherry.
    1 cup apple juice
    3 tbsp golden syrup

Combine the apple juice, golden syrup and dried fruit in a saucepan. Bring to boil then simmer for 5 mins.
Meanwhile, combine your dry ingredients in a bowl. When the wet stuff is done, pour it into the dry stuff and work your biceps stirring it through.
Spoon it into a greased tray - I use a slice pan, and even it out.
Fridgerate for 2 hours, then cut it into bars.

The adults version - Use a bigger ratio of puffed rice, and sub 1/2 cup coconut for the muesli. Use currants and glace cherries as your dried fruit, and prune juice instead of apple juice, with 1 tsp cocoa added. Drizzle with melted chocolate before you put it in the fridge.
