    Rocky Road

Has anyone made rocky road using jubes or jellybabies? I wonder how that would work. Or those sour, jelly lollies....

Fudge keeps well but can be exxy to make. Or chocolate truffles. If you dont eat them all, of course

I make rocky road with those jelly raspberries.

Dairy milk melted, marshmallows chopped, jelly raspberries chopped, desiccated coconut.

    Yummy!

I would usually use nuts and turkish delight but with the nut free policy I thought maybe I could substitute tiny teddies.

I might use jelly babies instead of the turkish delight because they are rainbow coloured but are they as yummy as the TD?

I've turned this into a new rocky road thread

I have tried making lolly cake with jube lollies, but they absorbed the moisture from the cake part and ended up slimy. Not sure if you would have the same problem if it is a choc mix.

Make lolly cake instead, it is better!

I use any lollies in Rocky Road. Raspberries and Bananas are my favourite.

Cut up lolly snakes work well, and I'm also a fan of lolly raspberries. I also overload with mini marshmallows!!

At Christmas I like to include crushed up candy canes for a minty twist

I generally make a white choc one, or do half milk/half dark rocky road using nestle melts.

I do white and dark marbled rocky road, and mix a good few tablespoons of smooth peanut butter into the white chocolate. I fold through any lollies, raspberries broken honey comb, toasted coconut etc. Anything really.

Onyx - given this is for a school fete, if you fill it with different coloured lollies, maybe you could call it Treasure Island rocky road. Or Pirates' Treasure

Strawberry & cream lollies would be yum. The nice soft ones.
