hi
I am just wondering what you can take for thrush duing pregnancy, what is ok and whats not. i hear its quite a common thing during pregnancy. its driving me crazy!!
I would check with your Dr, but when I was pg with my son I got bad thrush in the third tri, and on asking my OB he told me that a vaginal pessarie and cream was the quickest cure. There is some debate on whether this is suitable during pregnancy, but I trust my ON and used the pessary no problem at all.
(In my 3rd pregnancy I managed to avoid thrush all together, thank goodness, by taking In-Liven.......)
My doctor told me to use the pessary and cream aswell but told me not to use the applicator just to insert with my pinky finger. went away pretty quick
I find that Bio Organics Megadophilus 25 Billion is really good (Oral tablet). You can use it by itself or with a cream to stop immediate symptoms. It will be in the fridge at any chemist.
HTH and hope it goes away for you soon! I hate thrush!!
