Actually, now day 19 and still nothing.......*sigh*
I got AF 6 weeks after a m/c and this is my first cycle after that.
I have a history of irregular cycles, but for the past year have had difficulty tracking them because of clomid and then a m/c. Before I started clomid my cycles were about 40-50 days.
Then on clomid for 6 months they were 32-35 days.
Once off clomid I had 2 cycles each around 35-38 days.
The second cycle I conceived, but then m/c.
6 weeks after m/c I finally ovulated, but no luck.
Now I'm at this cycle on day 17 and no ovulationI have a feeling I am going back to my 40-50 and even before that 90 day cycles! Aarrrgh! I was hoping that my body had finally started to regulate itself, but maybe I was wrong. I know cycles get a bit crazy after a m/c, but what are the chances my body will just work as it is supposed to? How did it go for anyone else?
Actually, now day 19 and still nothing.......*sigh*
Never been on clomid but my first few cycles after my m/c were wonky. I had a few really short cycles then I conceived this bub, which was a longer cycle according to when I ovulated. Fingers crossed you ovulate soon![]()
Thanks CheezelMonster. Seems almost everybody conceives after a m/c, except me!
I figure if I don't ovulate by tomorrow (day 20) then my cycle will be over 35 days, which means my body has gone back to it's old ways againNearly at the end of another year with no luck

hope you get your BFP very soon.
Thank you xx
Oh hun fx'd that you get that deserved BFP soon xoxox
Tashaare you taking anything? Vitex, B6 etc? Maybe your FS can switch you to Femara?
I have a number for a good Naturopath. I am taking Blackmores PG Gold (for about 1 year now) and EPO. I tried clomid, but it didn't work. I ovulated, but no luckSo I am trying the natural approach. I don't think I have fertile cm either. I only ever get the lotion like stuff, hence the EPO. I have heard of vitex, is it something I should ask for?
Have you thought about asking your GP for a script for some estrogen tablets? The reason I ask is because our diagnosis is cervical factor - we have hostile cervical mucus, no EWCM, and clomid only makes that WORSE. MUCH WORSE. You can ovulate perfectly fine on clomid but if it makes your CM hostile you have no chance of pregnancy. It takes a while to get the clomid out of your system for fertile CM to return. I am about to start estrogen therapy to get some EWCM so that we have a chance of conceiving on our own (we will add IUI, but I want to DTD before and after as well). I have never had EWCM since DD1 was born (except during the chem preg, that was weird). Vitex is a natural herb, supposedly to regulate your cycles.

Thanks Maruschke, I also have spotting before AF and then I heard I may have low progesterone, but I called my OB/GYN and all my initial BT's came back normal, progesterone included. Do you have to test for low oestrogen? What about pre-seed? We used that a few times. Lot's of women have said they have conceived with no EWCM, I have cm, just not EWCM. Arrgh! It's such a nightmare. Why can't it all just work like it's supposed to?!!![]()
Pre-seed doesn't replace EWCM, it replaces arousal fluid. The sperm hang out in your cervix for quite a while before being slowly release to attack Ms Egg... and the EWCM needs to support the sperm. If the sperm can't penetrate it, or if it is too acidic, etc etc, the sperm will die in the cervix before getting through the EWCM and being release to attack Ms Egg. The women who get success with preseed have normal CM inside their cervix to support the sperm, but not enough arousal fluid (usually).
I'm so sorry it isn't working like it isn't supposed to. Isn't working for us either.

Oh, I didn't even know that about pre-seed! We stopped using it anyway (DH said it was too much) To find out if you have the right cm in your cervix I'm guessing you have to go right in and check?

Yeah it sucks, big time. And I'm not getting any youngerThanks for all your help, hopefully we both have some luck before the year ends

T - how do you feel about seeing a FS? How does your DH feel?
IUI worked for us, even if we lost the baby. So I think we will keep persevering there and hope and pray we get a sticky baby before Christmas.
I was seeing a GYN, that's who put me on clomid. But I was having weird day 21 progesterone levels of around 150-200. He said it was all fine, but I couldn't help but feel it wasn't right. IUI was going to be my next suggestion and will be looking into it if the Naturopath doesn't work. We don't have heaps of cash to spend and I don't have private health. I'm sorry you lost the babyI M/C a couple of months ago too, devastating, but I was happy with the fact that my body actually conceived all on it's own.
Where do you go to see a proper FS? Do GP's refer you? Sorry I'm all questions!
Tasha
I have the name of a great IUI clinic that is far les expensive than the major clinics . The FS and nurses that run it are wonderful.
It's over your side of town, and I really think it would be a good choice for you.
Yes you need a referal for a FS from your local GP
Im off to PM you now.
Thanks!![]()
