Going on Pill to start cycle?

Hi, Just wondering if anyone else has been put on the pill to start a cycle.
I miscarried and had a D&C 8 weeks ago and still no Af so my gyn has told me to start the contaceptive pill, though take a tablet twice a day for 10 days, then I should get Af and then I will commence taking clomid to hopefully make me ovulate!
Has anyone elses doctor told them to do this or similar?I have PCOS.

are u sure its the pill hes getting u to take?

i took something else for 10 days then clomid and fell pregnant but it wasnt the pill.. that makes no sense as the pill stops u from "o".

btw i have PCOS too

Yes, its definetly the pill because he asked if I had any old ones at home otherwise he would write me a new prescription. I don't think its meant to make me ovulate I think its just so I have a period as I havent had one in so long and my lining is very thick according to the ultrasound. The clomid is whats supposed to make me ovulate.
