    Miscarry at 8 weeks

    Hi everyone,

My partner and I are 42 yrs of age. In april 1st this year I miscarried. I couldn't believe it as I thought I was doing everything right, e.g. no alcohol, coffee etc. Anyway we have been trying for 4 months now and each time AF arrives. I just get so upset. So today I thought that's it, snap out of it and get on the forum and talk to the girls.

I have seen a new product that Elevit has brought out, it's to help with ovulation. Has anyone tried it or has heard of it. I am also taking Blackmores Concieve tablets. I suppose I am just eager now as time is ticking and I am starting to worry. But like my family said at least I can get pregnant, boy it was so lovely to be pregnant though.

I just feel it's the right time to try again.

    Love
    Connie

Connie I am so sorry to hear your loss. I too MC recently at 7w3d but didnt have a D&C done until 8w5d. It is such a heart breaking time and I hope you have lots of love and support around you.

As for elevit I have been taking it for 4 months now. I am not too sure if it helps with ovulation but it does reduce the chances of your baby getting spina bifita (sp?) because of the folic acid. And it alsoprepares your body for carrying baby. I guess a normal vit table plus folic acid would do but I like that elevit is specifically for conception and pregnancy.

Good luck hun. I hope that you get a BFP real soon

Thanks for welcoming me. I am feeling quite positive that it will happen. It's not worth stressing about it. All it good at the moment. Going to see a natropath next month, he is suppose to be one of the best here in the Riverland SA...So I will keep you posted.

    Hi Connie66,

I also just recently miscarried and Im so sorry for your loss, its so devastating and it does take some time to get over so please take some time off just for yourself. I recommend a lovely relaxing massage or bath. My husband took me out to dinner, because being italian I just love to cook every night so he wanted me to have a night off, and I'm also having a couple of days off work because I just couldn't be there, my energy levels were really low. Anyway I've been taking preconception tablets and have just started taking iron tablets as well, due to the blood loss. Always take it with orange juice cause otherwise body doesn't absorb it. I also recommend charting your cycles, I have been for 4 years and also check my mucus, if its eggwhite type of dishcarge then go for it because that is conducive to sperm and will carry it to the egg. I've been reading Taking Charge of your Fertility by Toni Weschler and really really recommend it. Also acupunture and chinese herbalists will do wonders for your fertility, I've been recommended one and have been several times already, they have a good reputation for assisting in pregnancies. Well worth the shot I reckon, cause Im 37 and hubby is 42. Goodluck hope I've helped...ciao ciao Mannie
