Confused-Advice needed please.

First of all I would like to say Happy Mothers Day to everyone, and thank you for reading my post any advice will be appreciated.
After expirencing my first MC in early April I was told by my Dr that AF would take about 6-8weeks to return, I had an early MC I was 5wks and 4days when bub passed away and it took another 2 -3 weeks before I started bleeding, I had a natural MC no D&C needed. On the 1st of May AF arrived and stayed for 6days which is normal for me. Is it possible for my body to return to normal so quickly? After reading other ladies experiences in here I thought that it would take ages for AF to return, but I truly feel my body is back to the way it was well before I fell pregnant, to be honest my body is now as predictable as it was in my early 20s. I still have another 3 months before my DF and I start TTC again due to just having my chicken pox and whooping cough vaccinations. I guess I'm just wanting to know if it is a good thing my body has returned to normal so quickly, as it was only 17days after my MC that AF arrived.....and between my MC and AF I did Ovulate exactly half way between my MC and AF.
Thanks again for reading, would love to hear of other similiar stories please just to put my mind at rest as I'm feeling a little confused right now.

Clairesmummy - everyone's experience is so different.

After my m/c at 8 weeks - no d&c - and then each of the births of my angels Amelia and Sophie - both with few post natal complications - AF for me occurred within 4-5 weeks.

Amelia as born on 23 Feb 09 and I was pregnant again in my second cycle which started 15 April 09. I think it was my second cycle - it was hard to tell in some ways as the bleeding was fairly constant but it did ease and I only lightly spotted for about 1 week, before what I think was my first cycle of AF started. It was hard to tell any changes to mucous as the bleeding was heavy, but in the second cycle those changes were quite obvious.

We delayed TCC after Sophie, but AF returned within the same time frames. I noted changes in my mucous about 18 days after Sophie was born and then a definite AF started in another 12 days or so. It was much easier to tell as the bleeding did not linger the same way it did for Amelia.

PCOS adds complications to my cycle but it seems the past few years it has been relatively predictable.

Try not to worry about your body - you seemed to have returned to your normal cycles relatively quickly. But if you are worried, call your Dr.

Sorry to hear about your m/c.
For me after my m/c at 5.5wks when I started bleeding my next af arrived 30days later (very normal for me) I also ovulated midway through that cycle. I also had an ectopic pregnancy and tube and pregnancy removed and once again AF arrived 30days after my surgery and I ovulated 14days after the surgery. Although I was sick for 5weeks post surgery also it didn't affect my cycle.

I had a loss at 10weeks that was picked up at 12weeks and then had a D&C. There was retained produces so i had a lot of bleeding and then another D&C at the Dr botched and i had a night in hospital. So worried about my body i made an appointment with another OB about 6weeks after my last D&C. The new OB did an US to check all was ok and my little evie was there OMG 5wk4days.

I had an ectopic rupture in feb this year, like Mildez i had the pregnancy and tube removed. I felt very sick for weeks. I Od 2 weeks after the op and then AF arrived another 2weeks after that. I then had one normal cycle straight after that and fell pregnant.

So yes there is a great chance that your body has recovered quickly from the trauma it has been through. Sometimes the body heals quicker than the mind!
