PLEASE HELP - TTC after MC

    Hello Everyone

Im fairly new to this TTC - i had a MC on the 27th July and got my periods on the 30th August - my husband and i are very keen to try again - i think i may have started ovulating on the 12th of this mth - everyone says to try on day 14 which was yesterday - i have missed that day as my partner and i are both shift workers - Am i too late to hopefully concieve this mth?
And how do i know for sure if i am ovualting? i only went off the pill for a few mths before i fell pregnant so not too sure how everything works! im pretty nieve to it all - so any help or advice any one can give me will be muchly apprechiated!

    Thank you

I'm sorry to hear of your MC. I have just had my second cycle since D and C. I fell PG after stopping BC, so knew nothing about how to fall PG. I'm TTC #1. I have learnt alot from the girls on BB. If you register with fertility friend, they will teach you all about learning your fertile signs. I track my temps and I'm learning about my CM. Check out my chart. Feel free to joint one of conception buddies threads, there is alot of support and advice.
I look forward to seeing you around.

Thank you for replying - i had a look at your chart but to be honest with you it didnt make much sense! hehe.
Im sorry but im fairly new to belly belly to so all the abbreviations im not too sure off - so you said you fell PG after stopping BC? whats BC?
Im stressing that i may of missed my chance this month to fall PG - i know i shouldnt worry about it - but worrying is something i do best!
I dont have the internet at home so unfortunally i dont get on this site very often!
I will try and register with fertility friend and see if that helps!
Once again thanks for your help - hope to keep chatting with you - and hope we both are not TTC for too long!

MistyFying - Thank you for your reply also - i really hope that my TTC journey is short too!

hj1981, I know it can be extremely confusing trying to figure all the signs of ovulation. Maybe you could try using the ovulation predictor kits (OPK), they are available at chemists etc. depending on how long your normal cycle is, ie 28days, will depend on when you may ovulate. If you have a 30day cycle, you may not ovulate until day 16. If you can't get to a computer often, i would recommend reading "Taking charge of your fertility" by Toni Weschler. I knew a bit about my body, but this certainly helped me a lot. Hoping you you get a big fat Positive (BFP) soon.
    Hope this helps abit.

You can find out some of the abbreviations in the Forum help section.
BC= birth control, CM= Cervical mucous, DH= dear Husband etc...
By directing you to my chart I was trying to direct you to the Fertility Friend link, once you register with them, they will send you daily emails on how to measure your fertile signs. I take my temps first thing in the morning before getting out of bed, you would eventually see pattern where the temp is lower in the first half of your cycle, then it will rise by about 0.5 degree celcius after ovulation. This is only good to tell you when you have ovulated. Ovulation prediction kits (OPK) are better at telling you when ovulation is approaching, though that can get expensive buying them from the chemist.
Alot of girls will buy thier HPT (home preg test) and OPK from lullaby conceptions, it is an American site, but the tests are fairly cheap to buy and the wait for delivery is not too long.

You might find that it takes a month or 2 before your cycles regulate after m/c and BC. How long are your cycles, what cycle day (CD) do you think you are on?
Keep up the BDing, I'm sure you will catch the egg and get a BFP soon.

Both of you have been a great help!
Im heading out to look for that book this weekend - hopefully it helps!
I might also go buy a OPK and see how that goes - may aswell give my self the best possible chance of concieving!
Since i went of the pill my cycle was about every 30-33 days i think - i did write it on the calender at home the amount of days between each period but not surprisingly i dont have that with me!
Today is day 16 since my last period - i did have a bit of CM a couple of days ago but that was only there for the later part of the day and than it went - does that mean anything? was that ovulation?
i feel so silly about not knowing any of this! im feel as though i should know this stuff and how my body works - but being on the pill for so long i didnt have to worry about it!
No worry's about me not keeping up the BDing we are trying to do that - bit hard when DH works for the QFRS and me for the QAS tho!
anyways back to work i go -
hope you both have a nice day and anyone else who reads this - have a good day also!

P.S thanks for the help with the abbreviations - im still trying to work my way around this site also! hehe

The OPK I have say to start testing from CD13 for a 30day cycle to CD16 for 33day. So you are probably close to O. CM that is like egg white(EWCM) is fertile CM.
If you get some BD over weekend, you proably have a good chance of catching that egg.
    Good luck.

    Hi HJ
If you know the length of your cycle, work out the middle day and BD around that time, eg 28 day cycle, BD around day 13 to 17 of yur cycle. Or when you have a egg white like discharge.
It is hard at first to work it out as you have watch for all the signs but once you know the signs its easy.

    Hope that helps

    Hi HJ

I also miscarried on 27 July - I hope both of us have better luck next time.

I found an OPK handy because my cycle is pretty short so I wasn't exactly sure when I ov'd. It told me that I was fertile from day 11 to 13 - not exactly when I thought I was, so it was good to find that out.

I found this article on Belly Belly when looking on the site for more info - you might find it useful. this is probably a very clumsy link, I'm not too cluey with this sort of thing! It's in the "Articles" section - I think you'll find it as a tab on the home page. Otherwise paste this into your browser.

Cervical Mucus, Ovulation and Your Fertile Period

Anyway, sure I'll see you around the forums - just wanted to wish you luck. I'm 10 days into the agony of the two week wait (2WW). Holding thumbs for no blood on Thursday (too much info . . . sorry!)

Edit - Oh, I see the clever computer changes my clumsy link into an easy one!

Charlotte_77 - Woohoo managed to spend some "quality" time with my DH on sunday so that was CD17 so fingers crossed!

Chris - Thanks for your help - my cycle keeps changing usually between 30-33 days - however since the MC i have only had AF visit once - due sometime this mth but hoping i will be lucky and it wont arrive -
If only it was so simple - when your young and silly you worry about falling preg - but its not until you actually want to that you realise its not that easy! but i will keep studying my cycle and hopefully will get the right time soon!

Jaapie - Sorry to hear about your MC (and at the same time as me) pretty horrible isnt it?
is your cycle late? could you be PG again already? is that the 2WW? im soooo excited for you if that is the case - that means there is hope fore me yet! hehe - goodluck with everything - keep me updated - my fingers and toes are crossed for you that nothing will happen on thursday!
and thanks for the link - i will read article on my next break!

They sound like pretty good days really. Especially day 10 and 12. Swimmers can survive for a few days once they're inside (most can anyway), so they could get thee, hang around for a couple of days, and then hopefully catch the egg around day 14. Sounds so simple..why's it so hard?

Yup, testing in about a week as long as AF doesn't show up. I have a good feeling about this month, but maybe I'm just setting myself up for disappointment. Hope not!!

I love the tickers!I get so excited about making a new one! Hopefully there's a run on pregnancy tikers soon!

HJ: It really depends when you O, CD10 and 12 would cover you if you O early and CD 17 sounds pretty good for your ususal cycle. If you don't get AF in 12-14 days you might like to do a HPT.
