joey--:woot: nice coverline and temp this morning!! Oops, but forgot about the poll, will go back in a few to do that! Hip, hip, hooray for DH!! :cheer: Sorry to hear about your ruined camping plans (there's a familiar story!) but at least we get to talk to you now!
Hi issy! So what does $1.69 mean in gallons? How much does it cost to fill 'er up? Hope things are going well with you, look forward to hearing from you later! :)
WTH--I could never watch a video with me in it! I would be horrified--I'm a terrible judge on myself! I would just sit there picking out flaws... I'm sure it would make DF very happy, though--it's been mentioned before, but I never let it get farther than that! I'm actually (despite how I may make myself sound) a very shy person! I have to repeat, I just could never watch something with me in it! Good luck with your upcoming scan!!
-
Wow - night times are when it all happens in here. I'm in the wrong time zone!
WTH - thanks for your words this morning, that made me feel very calm. If you feel that one per night is working then it must be, I think intuition is very strong when you are pg so your body must be telling you what it needs. Good luck, have a nice relaxing weekend and I'm sure your results on Tue will be fab. And yes - Fridays are the best day aren't they
jen - at least you have Disneyland in California. he he he. Fuel prices are outrageous atm. Sorry about your 'welcome back' msg, made me sad to read that. It's terrible when something comes back to haunt you.
mollycat - your chart is looking good, some nice temp rises. GL!!! Not sure where my strength atm has come from but am gonna roll with it?
joey - glad to hear that ewcm didn't go wasted.
Sending you all lots and lots of :bluedust::pink-babydust: - roll around and play in it ladies because I have a feeling there are going to be some more BFP's in here very very soon!!!!!
-
joey--Oh, hell, I won't be doing any jumping from planes! That's all DF, he can just have his daydream on the way down! Oh, I get it--you thought I was being you because I said my best "Joey" impression! Sorry, I'm a little slow! Good one! I'm still :chair: You could "hear" him through my italics, couldn't you? lol... Hey, so are you saying you want to watch a video of me and DH BD'ing while jumping from a plane--you dirty girl! And.... as a matter of fact, I DO have a list on my desk--no way I can remember all those names!
-
Thanks, AJC, big  I'm feeling better about it now! I'm excited for you for your scan, can't wait to hear about it!
-
Jen - hope you don't think I'm a pervert!! Just thought it would be VERY interesting to see :p
-
  It's ok to be a pervert!
-

Teen - I'm so sorry to hear ur news - I have been following ur journey on ur BB thread and as I am always lurking here, this is the first I heard of ur loss. I have just read ur post in the other thread and sorry u have been thru an ordeal. The girls here are just wonderful - that's why it is so hard for me to stay away - and they will look after you and support you. GL with TTC again, sweet, and wishing you the world!

congrats on a good scan before!! hope the pg goes long happy n healthy :)
-
teen--:welcome: I'm so sorry to hear of your loss! :( We're all here to help you make it through... Good luck TTC and getting your cycles back to normal! Big
-
thanks alot jen :)
im sure itl b ok gettin my cycle back to normal. its usually very predictable n regular, so fingers crossed!! :)
-
teen--So will you be taking your temps each morning and charting? How long have you been TTC? OMG, I have to admit I feel a little strange asking you that when I have a DS and DSD that will both be 15 at the end of the year! I truly wish you all the best, though, and hope I haven't offended you, as that's not what's intended!
-
Ok girls, I've figured out how to make sure we BD every day next week--I'm a genius! I'm going to tell DF that we're (us girls)having a contest to see who can BD the most next week! He'll make sure we "win" for sure! He's terrible when it comes to competition! What do you think, genius right?
-
Jen, that plan is genius!!
n kno u didnt offend me lol. i get comments on my age n the age gap btween DP and i all the time. its ok.
we were TTC for 3mths b4 fallin pg n now were TTC again. im charting BBT and CM and hope that i'll b ovulating soon. by my age i should ovulate quickly again, mayb before my nxt period :)
-
Ohhhh Joey..... thanks for your posts... I ve not laughed for a while but I certainly did reading your posts... "it could stretch from the floor to the ceiling" Cracked me up.... Hope DH was up to the "task" last night...... cant waiste good stretchy egg whites.....
-
Teen - Welcome. Sorry to hear your sad news. We are all here for you.
Jen - The competition is absolute genius!!
Angel - DH performed very well. Legs up the wall following the BDing should have done the trick to help those little swimmers along!
AFM - I've just had my hair done. I'm happy with it, but it's never quite right until you wash it a couple of days later and do it yourself.
Has any one got any info on dying your hair when you're UTD? I have a full head of foils done every 10-11 weeks (school holidays). I'm wondering if I get a BPF if I should give it a miss from now on? The chemicals smell so strong. They don't burn or irritate my scalp, but they can't be good for the little bugger in there, can they?
Glad to hear I'm keeping many amused with my silly talk
 to you all.
And don't forget the :pink-babydust: :bluedust: :stickyvibesgirl: :stickyvibesboy:
-
Hope you girls dont mind if i join you.
Had 2 m/c last year 1 at 5 wks 1 missed m/c at 10 wks. We have been ttc again since jan with no luck  for bfp this month. Currently 8dpo.
Joey123 had hair done wk after 1st m/c and hormones affected colour loads (looked yellow) getting your hairdresser to do quick test first is best way to go.

Hi Chappas
:welcome: Sorry you have to be here, but the place is great. The girls are fantastic. Very very supportive, and a bit crazy and funny too, which is lovely.
I too MC at 5 weeks (about 3 weeks ago). I am currently 3DPO and have my :crossfingers: that in a week or so I will have a BFP.
What about the affects on the baby from all the chemicals when getting your hair bleached??
Take care Chappas. I look forward to chatting to you some more.
xx
-
:angel::angel:Hi Joey123
Thanx for the welcome!Look forward to chatting with you all.
When pg with DD who is 4 had my hair tinted all the time never really heard of it having any affects on baby, couldn't say for sure. My friend who has a 5wk old had hers done when she was too.
:crossfingers: for all this month.

Implantation Dip
Found this info, thought it may be of some use to some of you ... (or perhaps just confuse you all!!) (got it off FF)
Is there such a thing as an implantation dip?
There is a great interest in identifying very early pregnancy signs on charts. Which signs can tell you that you might be pregnant? Which are meaningless? To try to answer this question quantitatively, we have run some statistics on a large sample of charts.
One of the most controversial and puzzling potential signs has always been a luteal phase dip. There has been a lot of speculation about the significance of a temperature dip in the days after ovulation around the time implantation would be expected. We wanted to get to the bottom of the issue and find out once and for all if seeing a dip in the luteal phase, around the time of expected implantation, increased the probability of pregnancy.
Here is what we did:
We ran a full statistical analysis on 116,691 charts recently processed by Fertility Friend, both pregnancy charts and charts that did not result in pregnancy.
To be considered as a dip, charts had to show a significant single dip that lasted a single day, occurring between 5 and 12 days past ovulation.
We used a minimum dip size of 0.3F. We also ran the test using several pattern recognition algorithms to validate the correlation independently of the method of measurement.
Here is what we found:
11% of charts that showed ovulation but did not result in a pregnancy displayed this pattern.
23% of charts that showed ovulation and did result in a pregnancy showed this pattern.
Of the pregnancy charts that showed this pattern, the most likely days for the dip to occur were between 7 and 8 days past ovulation.
The data suggest that this pattern is indeed more likely to result in a pregnancy.
Remember, though, if you have this pattern, it does not necessarily mean that you are pregnant. It is just increasing your probability.
No matter your chart pattern, you can still be pregnant as long as you have well-timed intercourse within your fertile time. In the end, the only way to really know for sure whether or not you are pregnant is still when you can reliably take a pregnancy test.
Happy BDing

My word, it is quiet in here tonight. I think all the chatter starts after I go to bed. Oh well, Nana is getting sleepy, so I will cuddle into my nice warm bed and put the TV on. Sleep well girlies, chat tomorrow.

Ok I missed waaaaaay too must posting last night! I went to the seminar and luckily it was fairly entertaining and not a snorefest. Unfortunately though it wasn't exactly what me and my work-buddy thought it was going to be. It was a behaviour/training seminar and we thought that the person running the workshop was going to kind of teach us techniques for training and modifying behaviours. Instead it was pretty much a bunch of little videos of her training animals (seals, giraffes, hippos, dolphins, dogs and more), but didn't really give us any new techniques. It was interesting to hear that she trained 4 male dolphins to ejaculate on command (for dolphin artificial insemination) but I wanted to know how she initially trained that kind of behaviour! Did she just hang around until a dolphin pleasured himself then congratulate him?!
Anyway...
Teen and Chappas - I'm very sorry about your losses, but I am very glad that you have found this thread. It's a wonderful place to heal and the girls are all amazingly supportive and compassionate. :hugs:
Teen - Although you are a bit younger than I am, I too have a huge age gap between myself and my DH. For my it's about 15 1/2 years. Sometimes love disregards age yeah? :D
I think you are doing the right thing in regards to changing drs. You have to feel comfortable and have trust in the doctor that is going to be helping you bring a child into this world.
I hope your TTC going is nice and quick!
Jen - On your marks. Get set. GO!!! I love your plan!! It would never work with my DH. He's just not the competitive type. I hope I get a BFP this month so I don't have to think up a new strategy for next month.
Joey - OMG I accidentally just wrote your name as "Hoey"! I swear I'm not passing judgement on your personal life choices!!! :ROFL I used to embarrass myself by accidentally writing my DH's name as Booby instead of Bobby. Thank god I usually proof read!!!
In regards to dyeing your hair, I've read things that claim it's safe, and then I've read other things to say it's not safe. The ones that say it's unsafe mention that the chemicals can be absorbed into the skin on your head and then get into your blood stream. It recommends that if you are going to dye you hair that you should restrict it to foils that don't touch your skull etc.
Chappas - I hope all the babydust and stickyvibes in this thread give you the luck you need in your TTC journey and that your get your BFP in no time!!!

Krystie--Are you still awake??? I would also love to know what the initial training is for ejaculation on command--maybe she's the "Ejaculation Whisperer"! Can she get it to work on our DH's?? That's the real test as to how great of an instructor she really is! Just ring a bell, and BAM ejaculate on command, it could work, you know! Mentioned the competition to DF last night--it's begun already!
-
Hey all!!
To all the new girls I'm really sorry you have to be here, but this place is such a wonderful support!! I hope you all get the BFP's you've been trying for asap!!
Jen: Any luck with the waterbed? I told DH and he almost wet himself giggling. yes, he's a giggler!! Our bed is fantastic! It feels like we're staying in a hotel!!
AFM: Well, had work today and was really busy which was good. Got a message this morn from a friend who had her baby last night (we were due around the same time). I'm ok. Really happy for her, but still a bit down. DH didn't take it so well. It's weird when you're so happy for someone but at the same time upset it isn't you.
I've had lower back pain all day and my tummy is really bloated (dammit- have a hot outfit to wear tomorrow night so may have to alter it a bit to hide the bulge). Are those signs of o? I still have the ewcm, which is good. And Dh is more determined than ever that this is our month!! I'm thinking I may now be in the tww.... but who knows?!
Also, got given a piece of art today that's all of these karma sutra positions carved into the bone from a corset. Inspiration much?
-
chappas--Welcome to our little thread! Hoping you find strength and comfort to help you through your losses, and on your TTC journey! Sending big  and hope to get to know you better!
joey-- Check out your mood smilie! It's just gabbing away... Thanks for the info on implantation dips, it's funny--I must've read that thing every single day last month after my temp drop and FF said "possible implantation dip"! You have to read it everyday otherwise the words might change-- I always wanted an alarm to go off saying "You've just won an implantation dip!" or something really noticeable like that!
-
Good morning tutmae! Gotta go out and buy me a waterbed first, but I'll begin collecting the scary fish and keeping them in our fish tank till then! I still like the idea of the bed on wheels! I promise I'll wear a helmet! I would say the back pain and bloating are definitely signs of O! Hope DH is still giving his olympic swimmers their little pep talks! The artwork sounds like something you need to keep right by the new bed--it's an omen!
-
hello ladies!
teen & chappas: welcome! sorry for all your losses, & hope we can help you some in your journey ttc GOODLUCK!!!
tutmae: hope you dont break the bed with all the bding you get up to! but then you can always get a new bed & do it all over again hey!!! yeah the herbal medicine is not nice at all, hard to drink, but at least its not gag-inducing - i gotta force myself to drink it but it stays down! :) & your bed has wheels?! hehe.. hey if it helps get those spermies to the egg then im for it! & just read your recent post about your friend having her bub... sorry for you... its sad hey, brings it all back just like that.. life can be unfair... but things always happen for a reason yeah? hope your dh is right & this month is it for you two! perhaps that artwork is a sign for you to try those positions!
betty: those bt results look great!
ajc: :stickyvibesboy:
wth: thank goodness those progesterone pessaries worked! GOODLUCK & :stickyvibesgirl:
joey: its pronounced vanity, its my 3 names put together: van ai thi. i dont think i got your email... i checked earlier today & do not remember getting it. but then again i have a terrible memory. i think i'll copy krystie's bb friend & send around my book - would you like to read it first? i can send it to you! let me know hey, & if you like you can email ur address to my hotmail! & then when you're done can pass it to who wants to read it next! yeah telling my dh to put it in a cup for me shows how desperate im getting! but at least it hasnt come to that yet, but sometimes i think it would be easier than dtd all the time! & yeah it makes you so sad & seems the world so unfair that all these celebrities are having babies.. :( but i love angelina jolie!!! cant fault that woman she is too beautiful! :o glad you got some good bding in there! hope it pays off with a bfp! & about hairdye, i watched some vids about pg (USA ones) & they say that its safe to dye your hair during pg. but maybe to be on the safe side just dont do it often?
megsmum: come join us often when you can! goodluck with ttc & hope you get a bfp soon!
krystie: i think the cm i had is normal... i printed out the 'my beautiful cervix' from the charting forum for reference when im checking mine & having creamy cm after af is normal too... dont think the herbal medicine has increased my cm. its mainly for making my kidneys & spleen stronger & increase chances of pg sticking i think. better ask the herbalist more next time i see him. did you get bfps as a result of the herbal medicine before?
jen: you should register on facebook soon so i can hunt you down & request you be my friend! dont need easter to go on a egg hunt but i need eggs though! hehe... i dont think im close to o'ing yet! & your dh sounds crazy in a fun way - much like you i think! takes one to marry one! :p & talk about stamina! i can not fathom that people can do it even 2 or 3 times a day let alone 5 times in one day! & dh & i dont find it easy dtd every 2nd day let alone every day! you & tutmae are superwomen! hehe.. jen the cool superwoman! i also had myself registered to babycenter.com... & it sends me an email every week of what milestone i would have been... i just delete it, feel too sad to go onto the website itself, but i guess i will soon so i can get rid of it so it stops emailing me... ah well... talking about diy-pornos! dh & i tried that (not really full on sorry tmi) but i can not watch it & get him to delete it asap - unfortunately we dont look good like the 'actors' in those movies!
afm: nothing to report. had a nice dinner with my old work mates tonight & dh which was lovely. missed my old work mates a lot! but anywho, next week im starting a new temp assignment, & i expect to be really busy, & will have no access to comp, so will be posting even lesser than before! i will try to keep up with all you girls - its getting so hard, you're all chatterboxes esp. jen, joey & krystie! slow down girls! no i didnt mean that. that'll be boring. keep doing what you're good at!
anywho... im going to sleep now... sweet dreams & see you all tomorrow is another day...
-
Vanaithi: yeah the wheels sure were fun! But it's nice to be able to fall asleep and not worry about where I'm going the wake up! I look at other ppl having babies and try and focus on the positive- it shows me that it is possible to have a healthy bubba!!
Jen: Well, i'd send you our bed, but it may look weird going through customs! And I don't think I'm quite flexible enough for those positions yet. Need to do yoga or something!! I keep getting little pinchy feelings in my lower abdomen and the occasional "swirly" feeling.... I like to think it's my girl and dh's team doing their business.
-
Sweet dreams Van! Glad to have the pronunciation of your name--I've always wondered how to say it properly--was thinking it was Vanaithi-- that doesn't really help does it? Ok I thought it was pronounced Vana ithi-- does that make sense? I thought it sounded just like it looked, there that's probably the best way to say it! DF is definitely the crazy one in the family--I'm the only sane one! (scary thought, I know!) DF does his own piercings and tattoos, as well! Will try to do my part in keeping up the "chatterboxing"!
tutmae--Keep going for that gold! Remember you have up to 24 hrs. after O that you can still get pg, so don't let DH off the hook yet!
-
So, Ruthie, it's Friday!!! Sending lots of :bluedust: or sorry, I mean lots of :pink-babydust: I'm  you get your BFP today!!!
Hey girls--there's some new smilies on the mood indicator! They're really cute--check mine out!
-
Oh Iam addicted to tattoos.... I have two so far (one on my wrist of a old school sparrow, and one on my arm for Lilah) and I can't wait ti get more!!!! You're DF must be a brave one- I'd be far to nervous to tattoo anyone!!
My DH has most definitely not gotten off the hook yet!! There's no way we're missibng our window!!
-
Ruthie: When are you testing???? Sending out mass amounts of:pink-babydust::bluedust:!!!! YAY!!!!
-
I'd be far too nervous to tattoo on myself, screw anyone else! I have 2 frogs on my right hip--no, I don't like frogs... just thought they were really cute! He made them green, red, and yellow (rasta colors!), and last summer we actually went over them with... grrr, can't think of what it's called... anyhow, they glow under a black light! Oh, I know, UV (ultraviolet) ink! So I have a little black light on my keychain so I can show off my frogs at a moment's notice!
-
Heehee! Thats awesome!!! I'm saving to get another swallow, and two roses on my shoulders. Didn't know you could get UV! Thats a bit too scary for me.... I'm a big wuss.... Is it time to test yet? AH!!!!
-
The tattoo shops don't even do UV tats, so the few of us that have them are pretty used to showing them off by now! DF gave his oldest DD an invisible star on her wrist a couple weeks ago, his younger DD has an invisible rose that he gave her last summer, then last week she got a little vine with flowers on her ankle (it's a regular tat, not invisible). I flipped out last summer when my then 6 y/o son wanted a tattoo, and DF kept telling him ok, gets everything out, makes a dot... and DS had enough! He actually has 2 dots on one of his legs, one black the other green--they just look like a spot from the tip of a pen. It was then that I realized DF wasn't actually going to give him a tattoo, he just wanted to show him that he really didn't want one yet! Oh, and my oldest DS has his initials right above his knee--I wasn't too happy about this one, either, because they waited until I walked out of the room and did it real quick. I did walk in on them doing it, but I let it go on because DS is a little wimpy (wimpier than my 7 y/o!) and he was sitting there not complaining for a change! His friends don't even believe him that it's a real tattoo because it was just something they did really quick, so it just looks like it was written in pen!
So you're just up waiting for DH to get home again? Did you say he's a musician?
-
Happy 4th of July to all my US gal pals!! Hope you all enjoy the extra day off!
-
hey does anyone kno when its reliable to start using OPKs after a m/c??
i had no hcg in my system cos the baby had been dead 3wks...
i didnt think LH was present except before triggering the egg's release, but i aint sure if a m/c could affect it.
i done 2 OPKs last nite n both super strong positives but is it possible id ovulate a day after my D&C?? we had sex anyway but im just very confused as to whether it could b a false positive? it says it cant b on the instructions but i dono.....
can anyone help?? dr said i could ovulate straight away cos the 3wks since the baby stopped developing and cos i aint bleeding after the D&C.... but i still just dont hav a clue........
-
Morning ladies!!
Here's a bit more info on the implantation dip, courtesy of FF...
Can you tell by looking at my chart if I could be pregnant? Are there signs of implantation or pregnancy achievement on my chart?
Unfortunately, there is just no way to be sure, from looking at your chart before you can take a pregnancy test, whether or not you could be pregnant. Though the signs are not certain, Fertility Friend's "Pregnancy Monitor" will scrutinize your chart and identify if you have signs of possible implantation, or possible pregnancy on your chart.
Signs of implantation or possible pregnancy, however, (brief spotting, a second temperature shift or a temperature dip at about seven to ten days after ovulation) can happen with or without conception and implantation. In fact, all these chart patterns frequently occur on charts that do not result in pregnancy. These signs are thus quite unreliable for early pregnancy detection, though they can offer some clues.
Implantation signs and very early pregnancy signs are considered 'hindsight' signs. They are something that you can speculate about once you know you are pregnant but you can never be sure that they are related to implantation or pregnancy achievement.
The best signs to see on a chart when you are hoping for pregnancy are: a clear thermal shift, well-timed intercourse in the days before ovulation, and temperatures that remain high past your usual luteal phase length.
KL - Welcome back! Glad to see you made it out the other side of your seminar. Least you now know how to train a hippo next time you come across one. I beleive they are very dangerous, so that's possibly something that will come in quite handy one day! If she could get a dolphin to ejeculate on command, did she happen to mention how to get our DH's to?? Now that could be very helpful.
Hoey / Joey what ever. As long as you're nice to me!!
Foils - I get them now, but it's the toner that they add afterwards, that they 'shampoo' into your head. I think I will give it a miss. Lucky I got them done yesterday! I wonder if they can do the foil thing with out toner? I'll talk to my hair dresser next time before I book in. But if I'm fat and glowing, who cares what my hair looks like!!
You're beating me in the DPO race. FF just moved my O line, so now I'm on 3DPO today, I think you are on 5.
Jen - Well done on you're competition start! Good luck with the race.
I loved that mood smile!! Seems I was actually asleep while you were posting. Don't worry - probably still yapping away anyway!
I like the sound of alarms! Perhaps one for O, and a really big loud one for when the BFP arrives!!
Tutmae - Well done on being strong. I'm sure this is a very hard time for you. I'm way off my EDD, so not sure how I'll go when the time arrives. Just think, soon you'll have your own little bun growing nicely.
Vanaithi - I just emailed you again, to hotmail. Let me know if you get it. I would like to borrow your book if that's ok. Are you sure you have finished with it? I like to keep my books, like this, cause I always refer to them over and over. If you like, when I'm finished with it, I can send it back to you, or just forward it on to the next person who wants it. What ever you like. Perhaps wait a week, fingers crossed I won't need it!! Waiting for that BFP!!
I think the cup idea is a good one. Very practicle!
Glad to hear that you think that Jen is way toooo active. I'm in your boat. Every 2nd day is plaently for me and DH.
I can't beleive you're going to be offline for long periods of time. Are you sure you'll be ok? We'll miss you. May be you could steal one from work. They wouldn't notice, surely!
Jen - cool! glow in the dark!! Your DH is clever. Showing him how much it hurts, rather than just saying no and sounding like a party pooper.
AFM - Well, I don't know when UTD symptoms are supposed to start, but I have tingling, more so than sore, BB's. And just now, I was bawling my eyes out cause DH had a winge cause I didn't want to eat Chinese tonight cause of a chance of Listeria. Of course he didn't understand cause he didn't know I was in the 2WW. So I told him we were in the 2WW and now he understands. But I bawled. Haven't cried that hard since my MC. So don't know if that's a sign of AF or UTD. I'm hoping it's the second one. I'm thinking that it would be too early to be getting sore BB's. I'm only 3DPO. Wouldn't I have to wait for the implant for symptoms to start? That seems logical. There should be no hCG in my system. Is the HCG what causes the symptoms, or is it something else? Grrr. 2WW over yet????? :wall:
So, I'm going shopping soon. It's my birthday on the 17th and there's nothing really that I want, except clothes, so DH just said to go out and buy what you want  But you know that when ever you get an opportunity like that, there's nothing that you like. I'm really concervative and boring with my dress sence. Jeans and a top, everywhere. I really want something new to wear to my 30th party in a couple of weeks, but I'm sure I'll just wear my same ol usuals. Oh well, I'll go looking and see what I come up with.
Have a great day everyone.
