afm - well cd15 today and haven't bd'd since cd12 (the joy of ttc with a shift worker) so was rather relieved to wake this morning and still see a low temp....phew was so worried we were going to miss the egg!!! Also had my midstream opk's delivered yesterday, used one yesterday and no line at all and used one today and a second line appeared of about medium darkness. The instructions said it would gradually get darker day by day until LH surge so I'm hoping that I've finally found some that work for me. I guess only time can tell. I O'd cd17 last month so I think it's probably perfect timing now to start bd (now that I know we have to use our swimmers conservatively).

Congrats on your BFP. I know exactly how you feel here i am still lurking in this thread and i am now seven weeks and four days pregant. I am too terrified of having my ultrasound in a couple of weeks. I have had 3 m/c's in the past 2 of them between the 5.5 and 6.5 week mark and my third at 11.5 weeks with no heartbeat. Even though i am scared i feel that this one is different as i have already popped out and can feel the hard bump (no one else can but i can). Just take care of yourself and here is to a happy and healthy pregnancy. Remember i am hear for you as i know exactly what your going through and we can do this together.

Gosh this thread has been busy over the last few days, sorry to anyone that I have missed, hope you are all well :)

Me - 6 DPO today and had my prog done today, it was 30!! (needs to be 20 or more to indicate that ovulation occurred) So I am sooo happy I have had a natural ovulatory cycle and because it was tracked we know that we BDed at the right time yay! I don't know if I'll get to post again this week - will try though, we are off on a holiday to Singapore on Saturday for a week. We are flying over there on the Airbus A380 - very exciting! It is our "reward" to ourselves for getting through all the bad times. So hopefully I can elude the dreaded AF there - is that far enough away to go to get away from her!? LOL Hopefully I can come back to a BFP - not taking any preg tests over there with me ;) removing the temptation so to speak.

AFM - I know I said in last post I was giving dh the night off ... weeeellll... I wasn't going to but I did an opk last night (I bought a bulk lot from ebay) and it was an absolute complete positive (cd16)- surprised because I didn't think I was going to o until tom or thu. I also have never had one go so dark before. Guess it fits with the ewcm? Did one on Sun and didn't even have a faint line, did one this afternoon and it was quite a bit fainter than the control line so I guess thats telling me I did o yesterday - hooray! Needless to say poor dh rolled his eyes as he realised another "attacking" from me was inevitable but let me tell you he didn't protest too loudly ... hehehe

Guess that puts me now in the :2ww: - eek! I'll see some of you over in that thread as we watch the clock...

Ok, so I go to my chart to enter AF. It tells me that it automatically updated my chart due to info I entered. Ok... Now all of a sudden for this month it shows the little forecasted O symbols on the
12-20, and for May shows O 9th-17!! Does it show a range of dates like that for you guys? Before I only had 1 O symbol on one day of the month, now there's 8 days worth of O symbols for both months! :wtf: Sorry, ladies, to always have so many questions about my chart :wall: I appreciate all the help, though! :grouphug: for everyone!

It's been quite some time since I jumped online and it sucks to see that this thread is still going. I wish one day I would come in here and everyone had fallen pg and no one else had suffered a MC ~ what a nice day that would be. We are still TTC hopefully this month is the month for us. I have been so moody and aggitated since loosing our bubba and I don't mean to take it out on DH, but unfortunately he is bearing the grunt of my emotional and hormonal rollercoaster . . . . . when will it settle down!!!???!!!

seenabeen - sometimes it does seem like a rough rollercoaster, can only assure you that slowly it does seem to be a little better. It's not something you can ever forget, but it will make you stronger, Unfortunately our DH's or DP's seem to take the brunt of all our emotions.

I've got the same wish - that no-one else will have to join this thread and the mods can close it down and I really don't like to see new names in here, but am glad that they have found us, as this type of support makes it easier for all of us.

:hug: for you, take a deep breath and remember we are here for you at any time. Hope this is your month (and all of us still TTC) so I'm throwing some more :pink-babydust::bluedust: around so we can all catch some.

smilanatu--Tried the place you mentioned and it still gave a range of dates that were fertile, but was able to actually pinpoint an O day! :woot: Looks like I should O next on May 17, but fertile 14-18. It's cool, too, b'cuz I put in date from AF in Mar. and it showed me that I O'ed on the day this month that I had the watery CM! Coincidence? I think not! :lol: Obviously I know that it's an approximate, but it's nice to actually see a day that says O! Thanks for the tip, even though I'm sure it was unintended!


seenabeena--:pray: this will be your month! I know how you feel about being moody and agitated, I've been the same way since the m/c. I've even noticed I have much less patience for my kids :( It's a tough hand we were all dealt, and it just takes time to get all those emotions under check. I'm sure your DH understands how rough things have been for you, and that it will get better as time goes by. :comfort: Glad to see you're back!

afm - I have the m/c follow up appt with my ob tomorrow morning where we may be able to find out why we lost bub (if they were able to do pathology). Even though I know it will bring closure, am still feeling a bit nervy about it. I think because I have to revisit it all again? Its only been 7 weeks but feels like longer in my mind... ah well... will make sure I am very kind to myself tomorrow whatever happens.

Just wanted to pop in and say a quick hello to all.

Im just plodding along at the moment, waiting out the TWW :rolleyes: I went to have a shower this morning and was shocked to see that my nipples were brown!!!! (sorry if tmi) They are usually pink so it was a bit of a shock to see them this dark. Then I had a shower, got out and looked again and they seemed to be back to normal. Must have just been cold before I got in ;);)

Anyway, everything seems to be the same as other months at the moment. BB's are getting very sore and heavy, but thats pretty typical in my cycles. So nothing really very interesting to report other than that weird scratching feeling I had on the inside of my uterus the other day, which I felt the night before I m/c a few months ago. At least I know that this time it isnt a m/c as Im only a few days past ov! So thats it for me, feeling very relaxed at the moment so thats a nice change.

Hope you are all well. Sorry for not posting personal msg's to everyone, I dont have long on here today :redface:

AFM...DF works at a water treatment facility and found some baby ducklings at his shop yesterday. Brought them home for safe keeping last night since there are lots of cats that hang out around there. Woke up first thing to 8 LOUD peeping chicks. One went awol this am, but was able to chase it down! DS keeps asking if we can keep them! There's just no way--I have enough on my plate at the moment without adding 8 baby ducklings to it, although they are very cute--they're just too loud!

Jen805 that is so funny about the baby ducklings. Very cute to have around now, but not when they grow into ducks!

PLC - all the best on the 20th (i know we'll say that over and over) but this one just has to stick (just so you can get really really fat and have a great excuse).

AFM - we'll i'm still waiting for AF, temp dropped 5 days ago and usually AF appears on the 2nd day, don't know what's happening there my cycle is usually so predictable, and yes if done a test and it's BFN, i'll give it to monday and then ring gyno and ask him. I'm okay with it just annoyed that i don't know what is happening

Anyone want any baby ducks? :lol: I'm ready for them to be out of my living room! They're so cute, but the pond liner that they're in is taking up half my living room! And I have boxes and pillows around all the edges so the little buggers can't get out anymore! Took a couple to DS's first grade class, and they were a huge hit. Even after class we were bombarded and surrounded by kids (and even moms) all wanting to pet the ducklings, it was pretty cute. If only they weren't so loud!


mmteacher--We also have white doves that we breed, and recently we got some homing pigeons, which we traded for some of our doves. They're still in training, we haven't flown them from anywhere except our backyard. But the idea is that we could drive with it to, say, Arizona, release it, and it would find it's way home. I'm not really sure if that's how it would turn out, but that's DF's theory! :pray: your Mother's Day (and the following 9 months) are AF free! That would make for an awesome M's day--but an even better b-day present!!! :goodluck2:


tina k--The ducklings are definitely a distraction! Some distractions are welcome, but when paying bills, the last thing I need is the distraction! I'm a distracted person as it is, so it's really not very helpful! It's great that you feel so positive this month, that could be a great sign! :pray: your TWW ends with a BFP!


mollycat--Have you done more than one test? Maybe you just tested a little early? My fingers are crossed for you that you'll get a BFP! AF seems to be very unpredictable this month, that witch!

Jen - couldn't you palm off some of those ducklings to the other parents. AF needs to wake up to herself and go away for at least twelve months.

I got great day 21 levels last month, so hopefully this month will work with the tamoxifen. I've got lots of distractions coming up, so maybe that will work too. The builders turned up yesterday and marked out where the piers are going, came back this morning and cut off a piece of wall so they can match the wood, the windows were ordered yesterday and the builders will be back early next week to start building our extension. I am so looking forward to having more space it will be terrific.

mollycat--Sorry about AF--at least you got an answer one way or the other, even if it wasn't the answer that you wanted! :angry: Looks like we're cycle buddies now, though! I guess the next 2 weeks will take forever though. I am feeling good though, have been far more relaxed this month than last.

Jen - yes, it's our house we're extending - it's a 2bedroom weatherboard, federation style (australian), we're changing the back bit, used to be a verandah before we bought it, but has been closed in years ago, made into bathroom, sunroom and laundry, we're taking it out another 3 metres, having the existing back wall knocked out, building a new laundry with shower and toilet in (for all the kids), bringing the kitchen out to where the laundry is now with a family room attached, the old kitchen will become our bedroom and the old bathroom will become our en-suite.
It's funny - people often say that when women get together a fair bit their cycles often change and become the same (I know that happens with a few of my friends) obviously it happens in cyber space too.
AF is never the answer we want:angry: but i'm sure when it's our turn with get the right answer (hopefully together)

I lost my angel on 19.04.08 & have been googling since for info on miscarriages & have come across many forums like these from other sites. But today I have finally decided to join BB as I have enjoyed reading from here the most & have found happiness & hope here. I print these out (am i allowed?!?! :doh: I aplogise if i've done wrong!) & read them every day. They inspire me.

Hubby & I conceived 2 weeks after our wedding (02 feb 08) & thought it a wonderful wedding pressie to each other. So naive & clueless as to how easy it is lose it - it is my first preg.

We've buried her (don't know for sure, but I reckon she was a she & since a lot of people's been telling me it's a girl) in the garden with a magnolia tree planted - my fav flower.

It'll be 2 weeks tomorrow, and the brown stuff are nearly all gone so we will be ttc straight away! I have been eagerly waiting for this moment...

ok... has anyone noticed the difference in the smell (sorry TMI :rolleyes:) when pregnant compared to not pregnant? I've noticed when I was preggers, even very early on, it smells like I've eaten papaya or pawpaw (but havent) & now that I'm not it's the usual stinky. hahaha sorry if TMI but it's nature so it's normal hey?

So maybe to those thinking they may be preggers - take a big whifful! LOL:D

Dunno if it's just me or not, but I'd appreciate it if anyone can tell me there experiences?

vanaithi - welcome honey. in all honesty, i have never noticed papaya-smelling poo with any of my pgs. sometimes i wish they would smell like papaya :dance: Seriously tho, huge hugs to u and so sorry to hear of ur loss, sweet. I hope u r blessed with a BFP very soon.

Hi Ladies,

Just an update on my appt this morning - the good news is we were given a reason as to why our bub didn't make it. Testing shows that our angel had turners syndrome (a chromosomal disorder - very common cause of early pregnancy loss), and therefore was a little girl. Feeling pretty sad today, but had expected to because it naturally has brought everything to the surface again. DH put it an interesting way - he said its kind of like a scab thats healed over a wound, that then gets bumped and starts bleeding/hurting again. A bit gross, but the perfect analogy!

Ob has referred us to a genetic counsellor mainly so we can ask all the questions we want, but also to try and give us peace of mind (as much as possible) for next time around. We see him next wed afternoon.

Jen (ducks! how random) and tina, thanks for your very kind thoughts. Hope everyone else enjoyed their Fridays - its another long weekend here - woohoo!!
