Trying to Conceive After Miscarriage or Loss April/May 2010

oh ferrals hahahaha, I am with you!!! I caved this morning though, BFN :( but am still hopeful as I only have 12 day luteal phase and today is 10dpo, so I was hopeful but I also went to the loo at 4am so technically not FMU at 6am...In January when I tested positive on 14dpo I had to get my sister to confirm there really was a line!! it was super faint her response was "i think so but you better do another one tomorrow" the next day was better,. Even DH was skeptical until the next day so I am hoping I am a late implanter or slow HCG peaker...rant rant rant.
But pulse is still up today, feel like massive AF coming, couldnt eat toast this morn. The only time I really feel AF is when I am pg, usually she just turns up unnanounced. Last month I was shopping and tried on very fitted dress and lady in store told me i was a b*tch coz period was due that day and I was like I know ...I was so flat tummied. Anyway I bought the dress went to the loo and Af was there already. meh!!
DH said this morn only time he remembers me thinking period was coming was when I was actually pg. We are both walking around going about our business trying to hide our stupid nervous excited grins...Its a funny household atm!!

My EDD is 2days away. And DH goes away tomorrow. Not happy as he knows what the date is. Not that I expect him to do anything but I have been a mess for days and I know Sunday will be so much worse and I don't feel up to been alone. I don't want to be on my own so I am already upset at the thought of spending the day on my own. Its the one date I have wanted to avoid since it happened.

Kit-Thanks hun you are right i usually know without fail that i am not pregnant and this month could be the same maybe i am just hopeful that it is finally my turn because i am worried that i will actually have to go through with ivf and that will mean that my fertile body has finally failed me after all these years.
And yeh for the temp rise hope the tww goes quick for you my temp went up again this morning to 36.74 it is getting higher every morning so i hope that is a good sign i havn't temp since trying for Abbi.

Millyd-thats like me the days leading up to AF i usually lose a kilo and look thinner than the day i get AF i put on a kilo or 2 and feel so fat and frumpy it's awful.
I can picture you and your DH walking around with grins from ear to ear my DH thinks i pregnant and keeps saying don't worry it worked this month and don't make appointments with the FS cause you are pregnant i wish i had his optimisim.
I hope you get your BFP than a few of us can follow.

We got Custody!! Legal Full Custody of David since he is Ron's son and temp Custody of Leigha we go back to court in 6 months for Full Custody of leigha .. Thanks for all your prayers and best wishes!!


Today is Leigha's birthday also she turned 9 yrs old :)
so we had a lil party on her since she has NEVER had a birthday party in 9 yrs
sad huh? well she got pretty much what she wanted for her Birthday.. all Moxie Girl Stuff :)

Time to get them all bathed for school and ready for bed soon.. 8pm comes pretty fast.

TCCLAC - Glad things went well in Court for you, and I hope that you got some sleep the night before..... I love the story about the toilet paper. I am the same! We have only an 18 pack and about 10 in the house and I am thinking we are getting low! I now only buy in 18/24 packs because then I don't get anxious about it. Hilarious. My BF said once to me she never buys toilet paper in bulk because people might think she has diahoerra. Poor Leigha, I can't imagine what it must be like to live in a family where she was under appreciated to that extent. I can't imagine how low her self confidence must be. Did she get a cake? What sort? Did she love blowing out the candles? Good luck for your lap which is coming up. Hope Ron has got his nurses out fit ready? Woot Woot.

Ferals - I love the photos of Sarabi - I think its a great idea to get two cats, for lots of reasons. First of all they can keep each other company when you are both out, second, they play with each other when you're all at home, and third, you and DH don't have to fight to get cat cuddles. I just adore my fur babies. Of course there is the litter ( not my job at the moment!) and the puke, and the vet visits because I am too viligant, but there are so many more gifts that they unwittingly give. I was woken this morning by a cat wanting a cuddle. Then I woke later to a cat curled up between my feet. Right now, a cat has climbed up on the lounge and is snuggled up to me. Perfect. Just perfect. And yesterday when I just felt inexplicably sad and was just crying, I went and laid next to one of the cats, who looked up from his snooze, stretched out one paw put it on my hand and started to purr loudly, and then went back to snoozing. It was such a simple gesture but gave me so much comfort. So my sweet, with two furbabies, you won't look back. BTW I have everything crossed for your weird symptoms. Cat cuddles!

Kit - I laughed so hard when you recounted the story of your George falling into the toilet and being blue from the toilet water! Hilarous. You must have just laughed so hard. He didn't get out and run like a mad thing through the house did he? That would have been funny, except you
would have had to clean it up.

Mildez - sweetie. I am thinking of you. It sounds weird, but somehow, after you move past the milestone of your EDD, things are different. Its not like a magic wand type of moment, but more as you pointed out, something you have been wanting to avoid has passsed. The dread can often be worse than the day itself. I am sorry that your DH is going away.

Is there anyone that you trust not to hover and crowd you in but who can be with you over the weekend? You are right, its better not to be alone. I will be thinking of you, especially over the next few days and keeping you and your angel close to my heart. Love to you.

Bons - hmm a manicure. I don't reckon it would get noticed either, but if you want to feel a bit spec, go ahead! Maybe the boy will surprise us all and notice!

Hi Dory

Yes I have been a bit quiet. I've been struggling a little. As i'm in the LTTTC Metformin/Clomid as well and all the ladies there are talking about their recent pregnancies. I know they are excited and nervous and worried etc.... I'm just feeling like knife is twisting through my heart. Not their fault I know. So I've been avoiding the forum for a couple of days to get myself together a little. I'm still not ready to reply to that thread but I do read it to keep up.

But the good news is the bleeding has eased up to brown spotting now. I had more clots pass yesterday so i paniked and rang the FS who fitted me in to do an ultrasound. It showed all was ok. Perhaps a little more tissue to pass but nothing to worry about. Just got to wait till Wednesday for my "official" appointment for our clearance to start trying again. It was difficult sitting in the waiting room with those pregnant women and their new born babies. Where do you look? I tried to go to a happy place and I think I managed pretty well.

I feel more at ease now within myself. I'll be much better when we can start TTC again. I'm counting down.

Porsche- I was just looking for you in the other thread!, glad to find you here and that you are ok, I understand why you don't post there ATM. good luck with your appt. I've been thinking about you xx

Dory- I am a kitty fanatic too, in the TWW I always imagine they know I am UTD and are giving me signs-alas not yet but hopefully one day! Glad you are back on track.

Porche - Sweetie, I have no idea where you look, it is so hard going to appointments where you are confronted with pregnant women and babies. I think you did the best thing - find yourself a happy place mentally and just go there. I usually just keep my head down and don't make eye contact. It's just easier for me that way. Glad that you had some reassurane by the scan though that things were ok and maybe you'll stop bleeding soon and be on the TCC bandwagon quick smart and off again just as quickly!

It's ok not to post, and you don't have to explain. It's hard sometimes, but I like to ask after people who aren't posting, just in case they are lurking. I reckon its when you are lurking that its most important to feel remembered.

Saffy - hope your furbabies give you a signal very soon. I always thought one of ours gave me the signal - not a lap or cuddle cat, but everytime I have been pregnant, this cat has come and laid on my tummy. I wonder if it means something or is just a coincidence? What signs do you look out for?

Loops - for once I hope AF arrives for you, and then stays away!

I need fingers crossed for us today as we have been trying to sell our tractor for over a year now as we have a huge loan on it and are no longer farming and if we sell it we will have some money for IVF. Someone is looking at it today to possibly buy :pray:

Ok so i called up docs to find out results of bt and my progesterone level is at 3.8!!! The gyno said if its 15 or above AF is on its way, if its below 5 i have to take provera cos my body isnt doin wat its meant to be doing. I just cant understand why my body is doing this!! im so angry at it! Wat has it been doing for the last 10 weeks????!! im glad i didnt wait any longer to find out.. that wld have been a waste of time. Oh and my hcg level was 0.. so no sneaky bfp for me :(
So anyway tonight im going to start taking the provera, hopefully it will make me start bleeding, then i can start taking the clomid to make me ovulate. I hope things all run smoothly for me now.. :crossfingers:

Bons - I am sure with you ravaging him he'll feel like some lovin....... Good luck. And give you puppy a pat for me, she sounds just perfect!

AFM: Have felt quite sore low down on the sides of my tummy the last couple of days, especially when walking around. (Like i've been kicked in the ovaries!) I'm about due for O but never used to get these strong symptoms so I get worried there's something wrong. My OPK was negative two nights ago even with these symptoms but last night I got a second line (though not as strong as the first). I'll test again tonight. Hoping there's an egg ready to pop!

T-Hopes: I eyed off the eggs but just couldn't do it! I was going to join the omlette club but decided to just go natural for now! I, like Kitfaerie have had kick-a**se EWCM this month (my best in ages) hee hee

Well 3 days left in this TWW oh how hard it is to keep busy and not think about it ! I have tried sewing and knitting but I am afraid I just can't concentrate sorry to the ladies waiting for booties I will try really hard to get them done but this TWW is just so damn hard. Got the tingly boobs and they feel a bit fuller and then i think I am imagining it so tell myself to stop being so stupid ! will test monday or tuesday if AF hasn't arrived but who knows which way it will go !

Dory I had dreadful thrush all through my pg with DD who is now 6 it was a real pain bath in sea salt water in your bath really helps the sore itching and kills the yeast too. I also wore some trousers that were made of that peachy type fabric well they were a no no too much nylon only wear cotton or nothing under your dress if its that bad ( just don't forget to put some on if you run out to the shops ) :dance: someone will get a suprise if the wind blows your dress up ! :ROFL: eat plenty ntural yougurt and try not to eat too much sugery stuff it makes it worse ! But for me these things all helped but it didn't go completely until I delivered her and then since nothing never again not yet anyways !

Hope the tractor sells will keep my fingers crossed for you

Reet its a bugger when the hormones mess you about but I have needed help in the past don't mean they won't return to normal eventually just takes a little time is all !

Crafty-your cycle is being normal this month not 19 days like last month so that is a good sign and yes i am going crazy reading to much into every little niggle and pain one minute i think oooh i could be pregnant and the next its nah just stupid AF on her way.
Take your time with the booties i won't be going anywhere soon i'm not that lucky.

Oh my gosh ladies I am on absolute tender hooks waiting to see if all these symptoms turn into BFPs I will be sooooo happy.

I tested again today and BFN as I expected. I feel fine and have decided we will do 2 more iui cycles before moving to IVF. I will be over my medicare threshold by then so it will not cost us a fortune.

AFM-i can't explain how painful my boobs are if i run up or down my stairs i have to hold them because they hurt i am trying to convince myself it is just hormones as i still have 7 days until AF is due but i also noticed when i move to quick or laugh i get that sharp ligament pain down low in my belly you get when pregnant and everything is stretching i know it would be way to early for that like crafty said i don't know if its my imagination or what but today right now i have a good feeling i hope it lasts because usually the week before AF i start to feel premenstral and teary and aggitated and i havent felt anything like that yet but there is still time for those feelings to kick in.
God listen to me trying to convince myself i might be then the next sentence saying i don't think it possible.

I am so grateful to have found this site... theres times when i feel like im in this all by myself, i dont know anyone else that has had dramas with ttc, it has always been an accident for my friends who have found themselves pg. I even have my friend who is into all organic and natural things and she has told me that i had the mc cos my body just wasnt obviously ready to hold a baby and i shldnt have forced pregnancy on it by taking clomid. I know thats not true but it still makes me think.. 'maybe my body isnt ready.. maybe i shld let nature take its course.' She also tells me that the reason im finding it hard is cos im not drinking enough water and not doing enough exercise. Its so frustrating cos i am quite healthy, im a size 10 that does cleaning as a job for goodness sake! I feel like yelling at her 'ARE MY PROGESTERONE LEVELS LOW COS I HAVENT DRANK ENUF WATER??!!! NNOOOOOO!!!!' My mum also said to me today 'do u think u shld give ur body some time to sort itself out without putting more drugs in it??' No mum it wont sort itself out!!!! i cant wait any longer!!!!
Anyway thats my vent.. its just a confusing time for me, i have never had to deal with loss in my life or wanting something so badly.. :( i know u can all relate too...

As you have proberbly guessed by now by me being on line quite a bit the last two days DH has been working heaps kids have been busy and i don't usually work fri sat so have had to much time on my hands.

Reet-vent away hun i wouldn't worry what people are saying sometimes we need a little chemical help to get things started and todays enviroment dosn't help with all the plastic's ect around us try vitex it balances out estrogen and progesterone when my E2 was really high 302 the month i was suppose to start my PGD ivf cycle which was cancelled because of it i went back on the vitex and it lowered my E2 to 187 so it can help google it and have a read see what you think.

AFM-My temp rose to 36.8 this morning still have sore porno boobs i wonder if humans can have phantom pregnancies like animals lol because if we can then i think thats what i am having.

Also found out yesterday that DH dad has colon cancer :( they operated last night, took them 6 hrs but they think they have it all... he is in an induced coma this morning and we are going to visit him later, so scared for him, hate seeing DH so worried... keep him in your prayers! MOrning Ferrals, I think we can have phantom pg's but I pray yours isnt and mine too. I have porno boobs this morn and last night went for dinner and evrything tasted a bit blugh!! So period is due tomorrow. I got up this morning and had to give myself a lecture on not testing b4 getting out of bed and much to my amazement I bolted past the HPT cupboard and went to the loo...NO TESTING!! I can barely believe it myself?? I have made a deal with myself to not test until AF is late, although I dont know how I will go tomorrow.
In January whe I tested pos, i tested at around 10am because I just couldnt take it anymore...hahaha. BUt I figure by not testing today I at least get one more day where in my head I might be pg, if i do test and its BFN I will be pi**ed off.

I am praying so hard for this to be it. GIven that next month is our last month ttc, I dont see how we could possibly fall I already feel so sick and anxious about it, I dont see how the stress of it will allow for a pg to occur. Oh I feel sick now just thinking of it.

I dont think I am right now, but man I hope I am wrong...I am going to go check y pulse again for reassurance.

Sorry its all me me me today ladies, I am going insane and not slowly!!!

morning all ,reet-try not to worry about what people are saying,i don't think they know how you feel about ttc again if they haven't been in similiar situation,sometimes we need medical help,i've been done the clomid track(didn't work for me but that was because of my tubes)they do seem to have good results with it,someone bought up religious beliefs with me in regard to ivf,i told them if i had something wrong with my heart,i would take medication for it,thinking of you ...sunbeam-sorry about the bfn...t-hopes-sending you lots of get well wishes to you &dh's dads..millyd-symptoms sound good,i'm sure lots of babies have been conceived in streesful situations...ferrals-when my mum was pregnant with me,the dr's didn't believe her,told her it was a phantom pregnancy due to stress & menopause,even operated on her in which would of been early pregnancy(tummy operation),at 5 months pregnant she told my dad she was going back to the dr's as she thought she was pregnant,he said they keep telling you your not,she said i can feel something moving,at the consultation dr says'i'm so sorry,you were right you are pregnant,about 5 months along.And there is nothing phantom about me,your symtoms sound very positive

and yes she and her brother been through alot when they lived with there grandmother..
its awful but they are doing so much better since they both been here since macrh 5th
All 5 kiddos get along great and i think since my 2 neices and nephew already had rules set and knew that there was consquence when there bad helped alot for Leigha and david cause they took right to everything pretty good.. Alot better in school and gained some weight since they been here not on all there meds like they were ( i told the doc i wanted some of there meds taken away and they did)
Leigha had a nice lil party and she got her cake and balloon..

T-hopes I am a day infront of you oh how I hate this time of the month ! I used to have a 28day cycle and would be able to test today but since they a bit longer now adays I think I will wait a few more days hate seeing the one line !

Ferrlas and millyd I am really hopeing at least one of us gets a BFP but if we all did then that would be awsome !

TTCLC congrats on the court so glad its all over now and the kids can enjoy a good peacful life and have lots of fun in your house, kids just need to be loved and listened too they really are such a pleasure to have my lot have a routine and we all know the rules and we all get along just fine ! I tell them treat others as they want to be treated and always use your manners !

AFM well still sitting on the fence one minute I think yes thats a symptom then the next no don't be stupid ! been going the loo more to pee 3 times last night,smells seem worse today you know stronger I can smell stuff that don't normally bother me like DH this morning his body spray seemed so strong when he sprayed it on ! and the liquid soap on my hands ! not sure whats going on but day 28 only got cheapo test sticks off of ebay and don't trust them and can't be bothered to buy anymore as will be a waste of time if AF arrives monday ! will have to just keep waiting ! I just can't be that lucky !
