Snugglebuggs HI honey so great to hear that you are having a great vacation, well deserved I say!!
Congrats on your wedding anniversary tomorrow, thanks for dropping by sweetheart!!XX
Miss You!!
Hot Spring bath sounds so great, lucky girl!!!!!
Take care and have a great time!! Hope your Christmas was a good one too!XX
-
Murraycod - thanks for being so welcoming! It's very reassuring to hear that you can ovulate without EWCM... cos i was getting a little worried there. Hope the hormones help with your ttc journey. Fingers crossed.. it's very exciting.
snugglybean - happy anniversary. Work that corset girl! Hopefully it creates a gorgeous little sticky babe.
well my man is at work tonight until 4am.. and my DD will be up at 6 so I can't even wait up for him for some good old bed action lol. I told him to wake me when he gets home so i don't miss a day of ttc. hope he's not too tired at 4am!!!
What are everyone's new years plans?

Morning Ladies
Murrycod- you have me in stitches when i read your post's and yes i did weaken and poas this morning with a BFN i know AF is still 3 days away and i think it would be a miracle if DH sperm could have gotten through my gravel rashed worn out poor vjay jay that needed a vice and a tonne of lube to get into if they made it to my egg i will be amazed.
I hope AF turns up soon so you can start your injections i am so happy for you but also a little worried that we will lose you from our thread when you get your BFP i know that sounds terrible and i want everyone in here to get there BFP but i also feel sad when they leave and you murrycod have brought me a lot of laughter and made me feel so much better about the months i had to wait for my PGD IVF and then all the ups and downs i had what will i do without you I KNOW! i will stalk you in the belly bellys thread LOL anyway my fingers and toes are crossed for you.
Snugglebean-sounds lovely lets hope the relaxation brings you a BFP when you get home.
Ciara-Been there and done that hubby getting home at 6:30 after a 12 hour shift and having to perform not real exciting and i have had to sneak away from work an hour early to catch hubby before he left for work you imagine jumping in the car driving home walking in the door grabbing DH by the hand and going straight to the bedroom striping getting the deed done hubby getting dressed and walking out the door to work and me laying there i can tell you a real mood killer and turn off but hey we call it baby making sex not the good old fun passion kind its for a good cause so we do it when we have to.
-
haha ferrals, you're right.. it is a bit of a passion killer isn't it?? Ha ha. Oh well. He woke me up and it was kinda cute so it wasn't so bad... but I couldn't do it everyday. I've asked him to start looking for a daytime job. these nights were ok when i worked nights too, but I am on days now and need to keep it that way for my DD. Aah, we'll see what happens
Sorry to hear it's a BFN, lets just pray for AF to be ontime so you can get started on next month's baking - fingers crossed for you.
Well it's raining today, so my plans have been shot out the window. I was hoping to go for a bike ride today and take DD to the park. Grrr. Been busy planting our organic vegie garden and i'm not too keen on doing that in the rain. Bummer. Lovely day for dvds i think.

Ciara.e
Welcome. You have a had year, with your most recent angel baby in December. I have had a tough year too, with 3 angels singing in my heart. You will find some amazing women in here, and more than likely you will be one of them. Lets hope 2010 brings some BFP and some sticky pg's thereafter.
-
snuggleybean
ROTFL about your face plant into the powder! Congratulations on your wedding anniversary too. I reckon its good for you to be away from work, tcc and just having fun with DH. Hope the romantic dinner and desert went well. Can't believe you found the time to post with all the fun you are having. Keep it up.
-
hi everyone,mummyof4-sorry af turned up...murraycod-wishing you the best of luck...cherished-congratulations on your bfp...snugglebean-good luck...dory-glad to hear their was some happiness through the tears...ciara.e.-sorry about your losses, good luck with this cycle...craftymummy-sorry about your friends loss, glad she has you...ferrals-sorry about bfn, hope it was to early...fingers crossed for all who are in tww...
-
Hi Ladies!!
Cherished - I must have missed your post - CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Mummyof4 - darn witch - when will AF learn that she is NOT WELCOME HERE!! hugs.
murraycod - well done on the list! ;) And keeping my fingers that the IVF works FIRST TIME for you! :hugs:
dory - yeah christmas, I am the humbug, I must admit. I was doing OK - till everyone asked THAT dreaded question ("when are you going to have kids?") What I would love to say to them!
Oh, and the cranberry juice tastes better in champagne LOL. Seriously though, half a glass did me in with the antibiotics!
Hi Ciara - sorry for your losses, I hope your stay here is short. My first cycle after m/c was longer than normal - I was told you won't ovulate while pg hormones are still in your system, so you may have a delayed ovulation.
Elsielousie - glad you are doing well.
Ferrals - I am due a day before you.
SPF - glad the hangover didn't set you back to much. And I hope you enjoyed earning it! ;)
Craftymummy - I am so sorry about your friend. :hugs: And I know what you mean about the rest of the world being pg - it certainly feels like that sometimes, doesn't it?
snugglybean - holiday sounds FAB!!!
Hi Matthews Mum , and to all the other ladies!
AFM - I caved in this morning too and POAS - BFN here too. 2 days till AF, I'm hoping that it was just too early, but I doubt it. Even though I was preparing for the worst, it still upset me to see the BFN. And then I just kept thinking that we should be having our first family Christmas this year, and we didn't, and I STILL can't seem to get pg. Sorry ladies, just feeling a bit down about it all. It just shouldn't be this hard.
-
Dory - hi! Sorry to hear about your losses too. I'm with you, hoping that this forum see's loads of BFP's this coming year! And I hope that includes you also!
Matthew'smum - Hello to you too! thanks for the well wishes. Hope you'll be seeing a BFP and sticky bub really soon.
Milly5 - Hi, nice to meet you. Thanks for the information. I hope my stay here is short too, along with all the lovely ladies here. I wasn't sure about ovulation after m/c as they're all different aren't they? I've been having some symptoms so i'm hoping that's O happening on time... but it feels more like stronger cramping so it may just be hormones still i guess. Only time will tell as i don't do OPK's. Sorry to hear of your BFN. It doesn't matter how many times we see that, it never gets any easier does it? **big hugs** It's ok to have a down days. I know how you're feeling. Let's try to think positive and look forward to a great new year! I have my fingers and toes crossed for your new year BFP
-
Good morning my lovelies
I woke up this morning feeling very PMS'y so i won't even bother with another test i am still p###ed off and disapointed i know that the 1st month trying naturally would have been a long shot but was still hopeful after the 8 months wasted waiting for all the genectic s##t and ivf i am worried that my eggs are getting on the old side and it just wont happen.
Milly-sorry you got a BFN to it sux dosnt it i hope it is just to early for you but i know the which will turn up at my house but at least you and i are cycle buddies almost to the day.
Ciara-i read your post in another thread about having worries over concieving with only one tube did you fall pregnant after losing your tube as your signature reads i think that is a great sign and i will tell you i know a lady who has one ovary on the right and one tube on the left after a twisted ovary was removed and an eptopic pregnancy where she lost the tube and went on to have 6 boy's (poor women lol) so it's most definately possible.
Murrycod-where are you? has AF turned up for you yet?
AFM-Well just waiting for the biatch to show up then i am adding evening primrose capsules to my list of things i take i did a lot of reading and it is supose to be good for cm it promotes the fertile ewcm which i dont get any i have read heaps of ladies posts in other forums saying that they had none and now can get the ewcm for days when they are fertile so i will give it a go but i will say i am starting to get tired of all the waiting and the comments from people i had one remark sunday night at work i was asked what is taking me so long everyone around me is getting pregnant i replied well i had to wait 8 months for our autopsy report and all the genetic testing and ivf so technically this is our 1st month TTC naturally and then i thought i dont have to explain to you how can i not notice the 13 people who got pregnant around me after we lost abbi GRRRR! people sh#t me i am perfectly fine until i see pregnant people or newborns when do we ever get over that i am scared if we dont have a baby will i ever go back to being normal and stop avoiding anything or anyone who is pregnant or has a baby well that is enough of me ranting and raving sorry to bore you all.
-
Ferrals honey your right, you shouldn't have to explain your situation to people, or justify how you feel at any given moment (womans porogative), sometimes we all get told to 'toughen up' or 'straighten that back up of yours', ha if we all did that, the stick we have up our asses would have sticks up their asses!!!
Anyway, people only ask those sorts of questions, to scratch their own sticky noses, and because they dont have enough brain cells in their conversation skills to talk about anything else!!;)
Hope you just tested to early.
Feel any better now darling???!!! I do:D
Ciara:hug: There is always a chance, my GF too has had 3 bubs with only her L tube still active, other was removed after Ectopic. Perhps if your not sure about O, (i don't use OPK's either) can you request for a progestrone level check? It will be able to tell you if you are in Leutheal phase now or not yet XXX
Milly5 so sorry you got a BFN, not wanting to spread any false hope, but this did happen to Eliselouise, she never got her BFP until day AF was due. Not over till it's over. .............Hey if we don't have hope, what do we have!
Matthew'smum hope you are well, and ready to see the NeewYear in with a Bang....(no girls not that sort of bang......what is it with all of us lately huh?!?)
AFM just patiently waiting for bleed to show so I can oficially class myself as Day1 of IVF cycle...should be here tomorrow latest. Dunno how long a bleed shows after being on the pill for 2wks, wouldnt think very long. Last day on i was the 27th.
Oh Ciara, My NewYear plans are going to a friends house, more like a castle actually!!, indoor pool and BBQ so having a big pool party. It's going to be almost 40deg that night so should be great!!! I love dressing up, we live in the bush, so pretty much live in shorts, t-shirt and thongs. I will be DH's designated driver cuz should be my first night on the FSH injection. Have my pink lemonade ready and a champagne glass, no one will know the diff, I'm mad anyway :D
Take care all XXXXXXX
-
Ok i am stupid i did a mid day HPT and got a super faint line can bearly see it so i asked hubby and he could see it but i think it's not right i mean super faint and just the edge of the test line but we both could see it has anyone got a super faint line where you second guessed if it is positive or not and it turned out to be positive.
-
Okay, firstly, Breeeeathe girl!
Ferrals, tomorrow use FMU, it is more concentrated XX
Your job for the rest of the day, is cook your favorite meal for tea, grab a couple of DVD's and enjoy the evening with DH, and GET SOME SLEEP!!!!!:D:D:D (paint your toenails and do girlie stuff too!)
I truly hope that this is a happy ending.
-
Ferrals - this sounds very positive for you. I hope when you test your FMU it is a very strong BFP! I'm very excited for you. Yes, i did fall pregnant with just the one tube, but I m/c'd and i've been feeling a little paranoid that it's due to the one tube... I know, it seems silly, but I guess I'm just trying to justify it. Wow, if your friend can go on to have 6 boys with all of that history then I'm feeling very positive! Haha... although I don't think I want 6 boys haha.. wouldn't be upset if it happened, but wouldn't plan for 6! haha.. I just want three kids I think. LOL - i don't know how she's keeping sane!
I understand Ferrals how you're feeling with other people and their big noses! They don't even stop to think for a minute that what they're about to say could be upsetting to you. I understand. All of my friends are due at the same time I would have been if i didn't have the ectopic. They're all over it with rubbing my nose in it and telling me to hurry up with my next one. I just feel like punching them sometimes! its just so heartless, but i guess they just don't understand the difficulties others have with ttc. Its just so easy for some people that I think they take it for granted. Hugs for you! Can't wait to hear the results of your FMU!
Murray - I think you're right about getting progesterone levels tested. i have an appointment with my GP this afternoon so I might talk to her about it. Hope AF comes very soon for you so you can get started on your IVF cycle. And I'll be praying that it only takes the one cycle! Your NY plans sound great! Love the pink lemonade haha.. great way to fool them hehe.
AFM- I don't really get into NY as i've always worked it. I was a bouncer for 8 years (a very tiny one haha, not your typical butch type!!!), so i always worked it! This year I'm looking forward to staying in and watching a dvd or two. I normally let the family and close friends catch a lift home with me so they can all drink, so i might arrange a 'taxi' style arrangement to make sure everyone makes it home ok. cheaper than a real taxi too cos they only have to chuck in petrol.
Have a good day ladies!
-
Hello everyone- I hope everyone had a great Christmas and each of you has a fantastic new year- one that is filled with BFPs.
Ferrals, good luck for tomorrow, I hope it is a BFP!!
I have some news …..I got my :bfp: this afternoon, although I have kind of known for a couple of days; I had massive boobs, nausea, a MIA AF…. The good thing about going on the cruise was I did not take any tests, so had to wait until today :D It's a great late Christmas gift.
While I am trying to be very positive, do you guys mind if I hang around here for a while. I feel comfortable and safe with you all; I may just stalk and not post for a while- hope that’s ok.
-
GREENCAKES CONGRATULATIONS GIRL. YIPEEEEEEEEEE - please do hang around here for a while, it's a hard enough journey as it is and you need to do it with friends. I am so happy for you. Yeah. We are all hoping for the signs you just described. Did you enjoy the cruise?
Ferals4 - you're not stupid for testing sweetie, just wanting that BFP. It's weird isn't it? you promise yourself that you won't test, then you cave..... I agree with Murraycod - breathe, relax and as much as you can, do things that take your mind off it all. I know its damn near impossible......
I had a a whole heap of BFN, some in the same day (lol) in the days leading up to my pregnancy with the twins before I got a faint positive, and then some more faint positives before a BFP. I was well and truly obsessed about testing. I called myself stupid more than a few times, but couldn't get a grip on myself to stop testing. In the end the testing did pay off though with the BFP.
I really do hope you get a BFP soon and its just too early yet.
This journey is so hard huh? Almost never a moment when you're not having to deal with something -and I reckon more often than not, rising above it and taking the higher road, rather than just letting lose. Its impossible not to feel crushed by people's lack of empathy, big cyber hugs coming your way.
Someone who has been really quite understanding so far said to me on christmas eve - how many m/c have you had now? And then when I replied 4 he responded - oh that's not many at all. And in a way, I understand what he was saying, because there are women who have had a much harder journey than me, but in that moment, it felt as if for him, he had just dismissed my babies and I was crushed. I said calmly, it's not about numbers, a pregnancy loss is the loss of a cherished dream and the start of a life long journey with an angel baby. Really what I wanted to do was sock him one....
Milly 5 - I tested this cycle on the day AF arrived, just in case the bleeding was "implantion bleeding", and then I tested a couple of days ago,b/c I had tender boobs. I can only assume the tenders are from a good dose of progesterone ( hoping) or more likely the push ups I did and its actually the muscles underneath! lol. There's a reason not to do push ups! I just love champagne, when I can afford it. But it would have hit you quite quickly with the antibiotics! The good thing about not drinking is when I finally get back to it, it's a cheap night out because I am not drink fit!
I can't believe that people were asking you that! I want to come and bop them on the nose! I am feel quite feisty today! I suppose even before my losses, it's not a question I ever really asked people. But the question can get asked in the most unusual places....DH & I were at the skin specialist recently (about 8 weeks after Sophie) for a first consult and were asked whether we had kids... I just didn't expect that question in that situation. Really how is it relevant? I should have asked how is it relevant, but instead of saying yes I have 3 but they died, I mustered the response - "it's a work in progress". [you might be wondering about the internal inconsistency in this post - 4 m/c but 3 babies? I had an early m/c before Amelia and for reasons I don't fully understand I don't think about the little bean as a baby in my mind, a precious little one yes, a shattered dream - yes, a lost opportunity yes, a broken heart yes. I just don't understand my own thinking about this]
ciara.e - I seem to ovulate within about 14 days after each of my m/c. Weird after having PCOS for over 10 years.. I like your NYE plans and it must be good not to be working with all revelers.
Murraycod- I just read your post where you had to stand in on an ultrasound where the mother was told the words no one wants to hear. I can feel my heart just breaking at the thought of you in there reliving your grief and watching the start of the patients world falling apart. You poor blossom - are you ok?
I was asked to do some work recently where a couples 15 week old child had died from SIDS and then they had had a subsequent early miscarriage and now are expecting in March 2010. I declined to do it, because I didn't think I would manage. Luckily I have the choice, but I am so amazed that you had the resolve to go in, despite how hard it must have been for you.
Mathew'sMum - how you going? I hope you get a BFP on your first cycle. My GF reckons she feels like a pin cushion during the hormone injections. She gets her DH to inject the needles b/c she can't do it herself.
CraftyMummy - how's your friend doing?
ScaryPinkFairy, Emmy83, Cherished, and the other gals who haven't posted in the last couple of days - how you doing?
AFM - DH & I are enjoying being on holidays together. We've set ourselves a little challenge - 7 consecutive days of shagging - we are at 5 now, only 2 to go.......being on holidays with no visitors and having inclement weather makes it a lot easier to achieve our goal. LOL. I reckon after a week, I will be struggling for ideas to keep it interesting. I know its for a good cause, but I've been through times where all I cared about was that DH ejaculated. Now it's important, but I want to enjy the journey to, afterall, it's about us and who knows how long this TCC thing will take?
Day 14 for me today so almost into the 2WW. Better go and get myself some more HPT.....
DH was reading some of the posts over my shoulder and said "It's amazing that you can get so much support and understanding in an on line forum, I am glad you found this one". Me too, thanks for listening.
-
that was a long post dory! i don't know how you can manage that much bd! :) every other day is enough for me lol
and it's really not about numbers, 1 m/c is more than anyone should have to go through, but to have 4, that must make you a really strong person.
greencake congrats! what great news :)
ferrals, let us know how your test goes tomorrow using fmu!
ciara.e i don't really celebrate new year either. so hard without being able to do things with family.
afm, i bought some tests today, but really don't want to cave, and test too early... it's so hard!!!! i am analysing every little pain and niggle i have.
-
Hi Ladies!
Thanks Ciarae, ferrals, murraycod & dory for your well wishes.
Murraycod - hope that AF soon arrives for you (that just sounds wrong LOL)
Ferrals - I am keeping my fingers and toes crossed for you!!
Greencake - congrats!!!!!
Dory - I can understand what you mean about your m/c & number of babies. My angel #1 wasn't planned and I didn't know I was pg, so it's different to the loss I feel for #2 who was much planned, tried for and longed for. I still feel for #1, but differently, if that makes sense.
And the people asking thing - the hair salon is another good one - JUST CUT MY HAIR DAMMIT!
SPF - don't test yet, be strong! one of has to be! (good luck when you do).
AFM - feeling crampy :(
