megsmum--You ARE a Pisces!!! I should've known! Me too!!! :hooray: And babymiracles.... knew you said your DH was a Pisces, but didn't realize you were, too!! Sweeeeet!!
Jen
Yeah for use fishy's! Just realised my very bad spelling - knew it didn't look right:redface: (BTW DF is not a pisces - but maybe he is in pieces  - he is a taurean.)
Sure am a Pisces ladies :D but only just! My birthday is the 23rd Feb babymiracles, so we are very close! Actually my DH is also a Pisces too LOL His birthday is the 28th Feb. Tis handy having our birthdays close together though, just have the one celebration - it will be on DH's birthday this year. So Jen, when is your birthday? Being a Pisces is soooo cool hey? ;)
babymiracles - I had a couple of follow up HCG and prog tests to see how things were rising, but TBH I ended up stopping because I just found it way too stressful :( My first HCG (15 DPO) was 184, and we did another one 4 days later and it was only 372 and my prog went from 100 to 57. So of course I panicked because the HCG had not doubled in 48 hours and the prog had dropped, even though the FS was happy with my results. Then I had another test 3 days later and the HCG was in the 900's and the prog 47, so while I was still a bit worried about the dropping prog, the HCG was reassuring and of course the FS thought everything was just peachy - he was happy as long as the prog was over 30. He was really reassuring actually, said he was only worried that I was worried :)
I'm sure the first results were affected by stopping the Pregnyl for LP support - maybe there was a little bit of Pregnyl in the first HCG result and it was also keeping the prog levels up? Then when I had the 2nd test it's effect had worn off - hope that makes sense?
Anyway, after all that we decided no more tests because I just couldn't handle it. My clinic do the same as yours, a scan at 7 weeks. But a few days before I was due for the scan, I had some spotting and panicked again :( We went in for the scan the next day (6w6d) and all was good and my BT that day showed HCG of 37000 and prog of 70.
So to cut a long story short, personally I wouldn't do the blood tests again because it stressed me out more, but I do think that it depends on your personality too. Some people just need the reassurance early on that everything is OK and are happy to deal with the added stress, or maybe it stresses them out more by not knowing how things are going KWIM? And others are like me and find that they can't deal with the extra worry. I don't know, its a difficult decision to make, all I can say is do what you are comfortable with - no testing or testing. And if you go for the testing and can't cope with the worry, ditch it.
Anyway, after the 7 week scan the clinic passed me on to my ob, who I saw at 8 weeks. He sees ladies who have had a m/c for the first appt at 8 weeks vs. 12 weeks for everyone else. If you want to see your ob earlier than 10 weeks I would just ask, I'm sure they will be happy to do whatever you want - mine was :) Then I saw him again at 10 weeks, then 12 weeks, and next time at 16 weeks. I wanted the 10 week visit (it was an extra) for reassurance because between 8 and 12 weeks was when we lost our baby :(
Sorry for the essay, but hope it helps you decide :)
Megsmum - thanks so much for that. I know what you mean that if i have blood tests and it isn't very close to what I calculate it should be it will add a whole lot of extra stress. Not sure what to do. Will probably go with the blood test next monday and then decide what to do from there. I think the key is going to be trying to take one day at a time. So appreciate you taking the time to give such a detailed response. It means a lot. Thankyou
Sounds like a good plan to me :) At least you can have the one test to reassure you and depending on how you deal with it, then decide whether or not to have more before your scan. But yep, I had to keep reminding myself to take it one day at a time, and also that there is more chance of this one working out than not. Just because the worst happened last time doesn't mean that it will happen again - well that's what I constantly told myself anyway (and still do tell myself)!
Good luck with the BT and happy to help :)
Grrr.... just lost 2 posts in a row.... one wasn't my fault, the second was a stupid error that WAS my fault! I'm giving this one last try...
babymiracles--It was rach's DH that's a Pisces! Had to go back a couple pages to figure out my confusion--it bugs me when I mix things up like that! megsmum, my b-day is Mar. 6th. Now I have a question for you girls... do you find that you're very similar to any of these Pisces traits?
"Your emblem, the Fishes, shows your duality. The contrast between the opposing sides of your personality is quite startling. One side of you is heroically romantic, wistful, imaginative, sensitive, sexually fulfilled, perceptive, creative, intuitive, even transcendental, while the other is depressive, masochistic, melancholy, frustrated, guilt-ridden, filled with self-loathing and a general doormat."
Have to  at the doormat part... that is SO me! In fact, for the most part... it's like they're watching me! How the hell do they know so much about me?!?! It's a little creepy!
Oh, and megsmum--love, love, love the ticker!!!
Jen - that is incredible - the description is me to a tee (except maybe the doormat - have got very good at saying no the older I have gotten!) I think that is the best description of a pisces that I have ever seen. Amazing
Megsmum - very nice to see your ticker and such a lovely one at that
Thanks girls, I decided that it was about time that I just bit the bullet and did the ticker. Actually I was a bit surprised when it said 12 weeks and 5 days! I can't believe I'm almost 13 weeks
As for the Pisces traits, I reckon I have a few of the first lot but mostly not! LOL Same with DH - we are actually both scientists which is so NOT Piscean LOL I would say that out of the first lot about the only 2 that fit me are creative (with my hands, craft and such, but not in any other way - writing or stuff) and sensitive (take things to heart easily ). Same with DH, although he is not so crafty as I am. And we are certainly not sexually fulfilled ATM!! :tmi:
As for the rest of the traits - all the negative type ones - they are me all over!! I guess I'll just have to join you in being a doormat Jen! Hmmm, maybe I'm not masochistic though......
I  about the masochistic part, too... DF likes to give me a hard time about it, asking me if I'm feeling particularly masochistic today, and what not.... He wishes! Yeah, I haven't got many of the favorable characteristics... the ones that are very similar are definitely perceptive, sensitive, intuitive... and yes, I'm fulfilled! ;) What do you suppose transcendental is? But the others... not so much! The negative ones are the ones that are eerily similar to me!!!
Hello everyone,
Its been over a month since i was last on here. Was busy with xmas-new year we were also away. Finally managed to get DP to agree on engagement party date so its all set for 14th Feb have been busy organising that.
HUGE CONGRATULATIONS to all those :bfp:'s. All the best the upcoming months.
Well i'm in the TWW. CD 31 and 8 DPO. I'm not getting my hopes up. I'm actually thinking on giving up. Not count days or anything. Just hope it happens liked my 1st. We weren't trying and it just happened.
Hi all, just wanted to tell you I got my progesterone blood test results. It was 41! yay so it means Ive ovulated so I will know within the week if I am preggers! Im trying not to get my hopes up but am really glad the clomid drugs made me ovulate! When I was pregnant with our angel baby my progeserone was only 23 so Im hoping cause this is higher it means something positive!!!
The next week will kill me waiting to do a test! Never thought I would be so over the moon to know I actually ovulated!
Does anyone lse know much bout progesterone levels on day 21 (well my bt was on day 20 actually) does this sound hopeful? when do you think I should do a HPT?
tutmae - Glad things are going well. LOL at Charlie kicking her dad.
meh - Good on you for seeking help. I hear good things about SANDS but have never gotten the nerve up to give them a call. I'm glad they were able to help you through a tough time.
Theresa - I hope you feel better soon. Take care.
shortcake - My doctor explained that you're lining is fairly well stripped after a D&C so it can take awhile to build back up again. Calling your doctor is a good idea though if you're concerned. I hope you get an answer soon.
Leyza - Glad you and Jelly Bean are doing well. Wow! Over halfway now.
jen - Hi :2ww: buddy. AF is due Monday (provided my cycle is 28 days). Since my last two cycles have been longer, I'm going to try to hold off until AF is 5 days late, so will be testing on Friday (6/2).
RRK - My periods have been different (heavier) since my m/c, although 5 cycles on they are starting to get more like they were before. I don't think there is such a thing as a normal period post m/c, but I'm also interested to know what some of the other ladies think. It might also be different if you had a D&C or miscarried naturally.
rach - I can't help with your FF question, but just wanted to send some :bluedust: your way. I'm  you get your BFP this month.
megsmum - Thanks for getting up the courage to put up a ticker. Now I can watch your progress. As for when to tell people, only you can know when you're comfortable enough to do that. :goodluck:
babymiracles - :stickyvibesgirl: Goodluck with the test results next week.
princess - :crossfingers: that this TWW ends with a BFP for you. At least you have a party to plan to take your mind off it (hopefully).
erybery - Its seems you, jen and I are all TWW buddies! Yay for great prog levels. Hoping you get a BFP next week.
Mel - You've been quiet lately. How are you?
:hello: to smi, chappas, Ruthie, Toccara, WTH, Easha, mollycat, jenushka, krystie, adele, possums, polly, HannahS, fifi, plc, ajc, issy, mannie, buliej and anyone not mentioned.
Hey pretty ladies,
Thought I would check in and say hi. Haven't had the chnce to read through the many pages since I last logged on but if there are any BFP's then wooohoooo!!
Being preggers is still a little surreal - haven't told the family yet just one friend who I used to regularly have a few drinks with - there was no point in making up some excuse cause she knows me too well. I haven't plucked up the courage to introduce myself in the PAML thread yet...... strange I know.
I have my ultrasound on Friday and will jump on and let you know all the details... it MUST be all ok, it just MUST :pray:
Anyway can't keep my eyes open past 9:30pm these days so am off to bed.
Hugs to you all
Hello everyone
Just a quick one - can I say I am not very fond of the image verification tacker at the moment - I could hardly read one of the words at all!!! Hmmm - then again could be me not them...
RRK - I'm so sorry you have suffered loss - I understand - I'm 39 and when I lost my little one last year so much pours through your head and you just don't need someone piping up with your worst fears or uncertainties when you are so raw and there is so much else to process besides their judgements. With our pg now - I have not been game to do a ticker yet and we are trying to keep a low profile until our 9 wk/12 wk milestones are behind us - it is almost like I feel I might jinx our luck - silly but it seems sane at the time. I hope you find greater support than you have with some of the people in your life.
OMG - Babymiracles - :bluecheer::cheer: - this is so wonderful!!! You keep that BFP rollercoaster going - may you have a H & H pg - sorry had to stop for a minute DD has just entered with an icepack on her eye having mothed her way into a glass door
Meh - may relief come quickly with AF in her viperous mood - love that you make your own bread - that is epic - my juggling has never been refined to the point of letting that one in the door!
Jen805 - we've almost got to get an award up for your efforts!
AFM - had resolved not to let work lead me into meltdowns and totally blew it on Monday with a classic tanty over not being able to find stuff for school - how bloody sad is that?? Trying to put it down to the hot weather but even I think that's a bit lame...
Oooopppppppss - just looked at the time - better go..
Much love to everyone - may good health and warm spirits (pick what form you prefer) be with you
Karen van
princess--Welcome back, it's been a while! Congrats on setting a date for your engagement party! How romantic to have it on Valentine's Day! Hope it helps distract you from your :2ww:
erybery--Yay for Clomid! So happy for you that your BT showed you O'ed!! I'm sorry, I don't know anything about Prog. levels, but hopefully one of the other girls can help you out with that question. But Hannah's right, looks like we're all cycle buddies!! Some :pink-babydust: for us all!!!
HannahD--I'm supposed to test on the 6th, as well!! :crossfingers: and saying lots of  for you, cycle bud! *hugs*
Easha--Saying lots of  for a great u/s on Friday!! I'm sure it's going to be perfect, and I can't wait to hear all about that little :heartbeat: Big *hugs* for you and even more :stickyvibesgirl:
Karen van--Sending you some *hugs* and bucket loads of :stickyvibesboy:
Hey all just thought I'd check in ... Don't want to offend anyone by coming on here to say Hello.
Just to let you know that at christmas we found out that we are having a little boy... I am now 25 weeks and 3 days pregnant. Wishing you all to get your BFPs!!!
Rach and baby Joshua (in utero)
x
Ok, girls, some of you will recognize this list.... for the newbies, just thought you could use a laugh!! This is a list we made up several months ago--we all had an input, so let me know if you think of anything else that can be added!!
You know you're addicted to BB when:
1. You sign a 2-year contract and pay $60 more per month just to have wireless internet service for a 5 day camping trip!
2. Your significant other walks in on you checking the position of your cervix, and actually gets turned on from it!
3. You resort to becoming an adult film industry advocate in order to "keep things alive" during those fertile times! :bd:
4. You read, post, and then refresh to read again in case you missed a post while posting!
5. You dream of being the first to post in the new thread!
6. You feel like you are wasting urine when you don't pee on a stick!
7. You see abbreviations in everyday life and try to work out what they mean in the TTC world (eg. DVD must stand for something like "Doing the vjay vjay dance"...)
8. When you get excited about choosing a new ticker....oh the choices!!!!!
9. You actually think in emoticons and abbreviations...and occasionally call your husband DH....and he says, "what the hell did you call me????".
10. And the biggest one of all....DH actually asks if it was a light or dark "BFP" and whether or not you used "FMU" to test!!!! (all in abbreviations...)
11. When getting a coverline makes you so happy, you feel as though you won the lottery! :hooray:
12. When you look forward to going to bed just so you can wake up in the morning and add a new temp!
13. You say you are taking a break from bb and then spend 24 hours trying to do anything but log on, including cleaning, washing, ironing, shopping, all the while saying to yourself don't do it don't do it don't do it before finally breaking down and getting your bb fix...
14. You drag yourself out of bed at 6 am every morning even though you're still tired, just to have "quiet alone time" on BB while the kids are still sleeping!
15. You get the butterflies while logging on to read posts! :leap:
16. You keep your computer on all day long so you know as soon as someone has made a post!
17. You know you are addicted to BB when you go to put the date on something and you end up writing 9 DPO! lol...
18. You're whole day is ruined just because you can't log onto BB, and you feel like you're going to go insane without it! :computer:
19. You climb a slide and drive up the tallest hills at your camp spot trying to find a signal so your laptop will work! lol...
20. You bring your laptop to the drive-in with you so you can check on posts in between shows!
21. You check your chart at least every half hour, because what if somehow it changed?
22. You wake up at 2:30 in the morning to use the toilet, and contemplate logging on to see if there's any good news that can't wait until morning!
23. You wake up at 3 a.m. and have to pee so bad, but you know you'll wake up at 6, so you hold it for three more hours so that you don't ruin your temp!
24. You toss and turn every morning waiting for it to be time to take your temp!
25. When DH comments that he's your family, not the girls on BB! (What does he know, anyway? lol...)
26. You sign on from your mobile phone to let off some steam!
27. You post 3 times in a row, and twice was just because you ran out of smilies!!!
28. When you're reading and typing posts in your dreams! :asleep:
29. When sitting on the couch watching TV, you position yourself so that you can see the computer screen so you know as soon as a message pops up! Not only that, but you end up watching the computer screen more than the TV!
30. You run to check posts during an ad break of a show you're watching, then an hour later you realize you missed the end of your show!
31. When new smilies make you smilie!!
32. When you stop a movie during the sex scene because it reminds you to check BB!
33. When you burn your dinner because you're too busy checking your posts! D'oh!
34. When you begin stalking people's charts and keeping up with their BD stats!
35. When you've got more than one (3) fertility charts--just to make sure you really know what's going on with your cycle!
36. When you feel jealous that your kids are on your computer taking up your BB time!!
37. When class is about to start and you're quickly typing away at the back on the computer, hoping the kids don't see what you are typing!!
38. When the chat room makes you feel like a kid in a candy store! *moo*, *meow*, *evil* lol...
39. When you wish the week away, not so the weekend comes, but so you can catch up with all your fav girlies in Friday Chat!
To all my girls.. thank you for your well wishes with my mum. I spoke to her last night and she is trying to work something out with the doc so she doesn't have to go under the knife... the doc said there is a med that can dissolve the calcium buildup but it has a process... my mom made it clear she would be willing to do anything to avoid the knife.. and I don't blame her. when she had her first surgery on her breast it was awful and she was in much pain and very miserable. :(
SOoooo.... so far all looks like she doesn't need the surgery. Just praying those meds really get rid of the "mass".
AFM:.. I'm trying so hard to keep up with the positiveness.. but today I think I cracked. Seeing that AF has NOT shown up since my D&C on 9/12/08 kinda pulls down my hopes.. because that only indicates that Everything is wrong inside of me.
My BBS hurt on and off.. and for what?.. cuz I know it's not AF, not even PMS, not even a chance of ovulation. so what's the point of them hurting??..To make me feel all worse???!!
I'm still literally running after the mailman in hopes those HI cards get here and they STILL haven't. It all makes me nervous and more anxious in a bad way.. because if this doesn't happen... if anything turns out that I don't get those.. then it will really burst my bubble and my chances of conceiving w/o a FS are slim to none.
that scares me.
Oh yeah.. remember how I told you gals about my friend who had an abortion around what October last year??.. She is pregnant again and considering the same thing again!!!!!:wall:
I have no comment on that one.. as I was so upset last time..this time around??..GO FIGURE!
**sssssssssssssssiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiigggggggg gggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhh**
I'm desperate.. not depressed yet.. just worried, anxious, nervous, paranoid, drained.. yeah I like the last one.. DRAINED.
The day I walk into that FS office and sit down..let it all out... see what the plans are for me??..that's the day I will be brighter than the sun. that and of course the day I'm way over 12 weeks (my "walking on thin ice" 1st trimester) and with a healthy LIVE baby.
That's when I think I will believe it will happen. (daydreaming .....)
**POP** woke up! REALITY HITS ME AGAIN!
***siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiighhhhhhhhhhhh**... Please pray the HI gets here this week... I never knew I was ever going to say this.. but FOR THE LOVE OF GOD AF PLEASE COME!!!!!!!!:wall:
That's it for now..
RRK: Welcome.. and no you are not in the wrong post.Don't be ashamed to talk about your miscarriage... your angel is nothing to be ashamed about.. in fact our angels are quite precious. You are among friends. I hope you find comfort and love like I have with the awesome girlies here! My heart goes out to you. I'm so sorry for your losses. I wish you the very best on your TTC journey.
Karen: Congrats on your BFP!!! Well done hun!! Wishing you a H& H 9 months and baba!
Jackjack:... hugs to you love. It's ok to let it all out hun. Otherwise we would lose our sanity!
AJC: OMG.... your baba was born 2 days from my little Erick.(born on 12/16/04) AND AT 34 WEEKS!!.. how about that??
that's so weird/cool.
Chappas, shortcake: (hugs) thank you for your sweet comments ♥
Rach: good luck hun CATCH THAT EGGIE!!!!
Jen: crossing my fingers for ya ♥ I simply love you girl..thank you for cheering us all on...and even if we are both fighting the same demos... it really feels good that someone like you radiates sunshine of positiveness to us all. God bless you mama! ♥
Megsmum: That is WONDERFUL sweet mama!! I too will hold my breath till I'm 12 weeks since I've lost all my babies before that.
My best wishes going your way!! To a H&H 9 months and baby!
SMi: Good luck hun..glad your results aren't that bad. Hoping things go well for ya.
Erybery: I know JUST how you feel hun..many of us if not all know how that feels.
I hope you have to wait no more and get your BFP! CLomid has been my miracle pill.. if the docs monitor your prog. levels and aid you when needed.. I'm pretty positive you will have your little bean in no time!
baby miracles!!! CONGRATS HUN!! Here's to a H&H 9 months and baby!!!!
Tut: Hugs
Meh: Hang in there girly... I'm crossing my fingers for you.
leyza: hi sweets..long time. HUGE Hugs 4 ya.
Princess85: welcome back hun.I'm wishing you the best of luck this month!!!
Easha: I'm praying your scan will bring nothing but GOOD NEWS!!
To my preggo girlies: :bellyrubs:
TO my TTC buddies: :bluedust:
Ruthie
Hey Rachel!! Long time no talk to! Congrats on your progressing pg'cy, and YAY, :itsaboy: Big :bellyrubs: for little Joshua!! :stickyvibesboy: Thanks for popping in and letting us know how you're doing!! *hugs*
Jen I have another one for your list!
When you wish the week away, not so the weekend comes, but so you can catch up with all your fav girlies in Friday Chat! (even tho i'm at work most weeks, but still manage it ;))
I'm sure i can think of some more - give me time, baby brain in full gear!
Hope everyone ok. Have my 28 week midwife app tomorrow so hopefully all should be ok. Bub is a little active thing. it feels like it's trying to escape!
Thanks, fi, that one was great! I added it to the list! Good luck with your appt. tomorrow--I know all will be well!
Ruthie--Aww, thanks, hon! Big  for you, and saying lots of  for your health ins. cards to show up!! Your mom's still in my thoughts and prayers!
Jen - LOL at your DH and his masochism! Your DH sounds a bit like mine ;) Funny how we both have more of the negative traits than the positive ones, but I have to agree with babymiracles that it is one of the best fitting list of Pisces traits for me I have ever seen. Transcendental - I thought that was a bit like spiritual, in touch with God/spirits/the afterlife and stuff like that?? I'm not 100% sure, but all of that is soooo not me! LOL at your list too, I had forgotten about that...
Princess - Good luck for this month, and hope you have a lovely time at your engagement party :)
erybery - Yay for a great prog level! Unfortunately though, it doesn't tell you anything about whether you are pg or not :( all it indicates is that your corpus luteum is functioning well enough to support a pregnancy in the early stages. I have been pg with a prog of 50 and not pg with prog of 30, 49 and 63 just to give you an idea of how it can vary. Personally I think your best bet would be to wait a week and do a HPT, but I have to admit I did so many early HPTs myself in the early TTC days that were neg so I just got totally over seeing them and wasting my $$ only to have AF show up! I just stopped doing them in the end. But wishing you heaps of good luck for this cycle.
HannahD - Thanks for that! I guess I will have to start telling soon, but its just a bit scary KWIM? That was one of the terrible (but obviously not the worst) things after the m/c - untelling everyone :(
Easha - GL for your scan on Fri, fingers and everything crossed that all will be well. I know how you feel about the PAML thread too, I still haven't been quite able to bring myself to post there yet either.
RachelS - Glad to hear everything is going well.
Ruthie - Oh thanks so much hun, I really hope things get back on track for you soon with the PHI and AF arriving. It is so not fair that you have to go through all of this after what has happened to you. Is there anyone you can chase after to get this card so you can get things happening with the FS? I'm sorry I forgot to say that that is great that your Mum is cancer free - I hope that the meds get rid of the mass so she doesn't have to have surgery  As for your friend, well :wall: the less said about that the better!
fifi - GL for you midwife appt tomorrow!
Mel - Sorry I forgot you yesterday  Hope you are going well hun!
Hugs and hi to everyone else, might have to go and have a nana nap before I pick up DD from preschool....
:hello: luvley ladies.
Just dropping in to give a better-late-than-never CONGRATULATIONS  to Babymiracles :happyforyou:. Wishing you a healthy and uneventful nine months :D
Little update on me: Day 4 from IVF egg pickup. Had a good result, six of nine mature eggs fertilised properly and yesterday on Day 3, five were still Grade 1 (good). For those not in the know I am doing IVF with PGD (pre-implantation genetic diagnosis) to cut out the risk of common chromosonal abnormalities (and therefore lessen my chance of MC). If any make it to Day 5/6 they will be biopsied and a good one, transferred. This stage is a tense time ATM. Will keep you posted.
:bluedust: :pink-babydust:
Good luck WTH - hoping one is a very sticky one for you.
Hi everyone
Just wanted to let you know that I am feeling much better! Thank you all for your kind words.
Rach - No I am not on the SIDS forum (it is quite ok to have asked :p)
WTH - Sending you all the luck in the world :goodluck:
Jen - your post had me rolling on the floor! Everyone at work thinks I have totally lost the plot now
AFM - Just waiting for my forst scan on the 9th Feb. I can't wait!!!!
Everyone else - and will caht later.
OMG - So sorry I have not posted in what seems so long. I am so behind so I will not even attempt to catch up. Been so busy, have had time to lurk and read but not to post. Don't worry I have still been checking in with you all. Had really sore eyes for the last week so trying to cut back my time at the computer too. Went to the optometrist today and turns out I need stronger lenses in my glasses. I only wear glasses at work in front of the computer so I was worried I may have to wear them full time.
I am going to try a few persies - big apology to anyone I may miss!
Babymiracles - Woo-hoo! :happyforyou: I had such a good feeling this was going to be your month. Wishing you a H&H 9 months (or I guess I should say 8 now?).
Hannah - I really hope the counselling helps. I completely understand not wanting to take the medication. It's a catch 22, you want to start to feel better about things but you don't want anything to hinder the TTC process. You will be such a great mum, you are already looking out for your little one before they are conceived :) Hope this is your cycle.
WTH - Best of luck :crossfingers:
Megsmum - Yah for your 12 week scan! So happy it all went well. Wishing you the very best. :stickyvibesgirl:
erybery - So happy to hear about your levels - hope this is the cycle for you! I have had prog levels of 37 and 32 and both times not pg, as Megsmum said I think it can really vary. Sending lots of baby dust your way though.
Shortcake - I hope you find some answers and AF arrives soon so you can start TTC again. It must be so frustrating
Easha - Good luck for your scan!
RRK - Welcome but sorry you have to be here. The girls are here are so wonderful which is why our pg friends still pop in from time to time. Hopefully we will all be in the PAML thread together soon.
Ruthie - Sorry you are having a bad time, I hope your HI cards arrive soon so you can see the specialist.
Jen - Love the list - so true!
Theresa - I hope I have congratulated you? If not, I am so sorry. CONGRATULATIONS!!! Best of luck for your scan!
Big Hi to everyone I have missed, I will catch up, eventually. I have missed you all and will try to do better
AFM - Got my chromosome results back today and they are all clear - DH & I are a match! I already knew that but nice to know officially  Officially in the TWW but haven't really taken notice this month as just counting down to my op on the 10th. My specialist said even just having a 'clean out' of my tubes and uterus can help so that is something to hold on to.
Will try to post again before Friday then off to Melbourne for the weekend in the 40+ degree heat. It's even 34 degrees here today, sitting in front of the air-con...........
Mel - thanks so much honey. Good luck with the op and enjoy the heat in melbourne. In Adelaide today it is 45 degrees!!!! -
Zachary's mum - scan is not too far away - that is very exciting. I do not know when my scan is yet as they haven't called me with a time but suspect three weeks from today - seems such a long time - one day at a time I guess
WTH: thanks for the congrats. Have been wondering how you are getting on. Wow that is a great result so far - you seem to have made some lovely embryos - will be thinking of you over next few weeks - I know it can be such a stressful time and so many stages to get through. this is the cycle for you and we can be belly buddies
Rachel: glad things are going so well and it is lovely to have you pop in. I am not quite ready to leave this thread even though I got my BFP on monday - think I will need at least a few more weeks to feel confident I can move on IYKWIM
Fificlaire - good luck with appointment - wow 28 weeks already - that is so lovely
Ruthie: Thanks for the congratulations. You hang in there honey - hope your HI card arrives very soon, and your mum has been in my thoughts.
Karen Van - thanks honey
Easha - good luck with scan on Friday. everything will be perfect
HannahD: Thanks sweetie. How did you cope with the 45 degrees today? Have been thinking of you - how is councelling going? Hope you are feeling okay. Private message me if you wanna talk more - I have also been through similar thing re decisions about being on antidepressant or not and one of my roles in life is that I am a pharmacist so can give you lots of facts etc to help with your decision - if you think that would be helpful at all
Erybery: congrats on the progesterone level - it definately indicates that you have ovulated but really gives no indication for success of pregnancy at this stage. When I had the test my progesterone on day 21 was 91 and I didn't get pregnant that cycle. But the fact you are clearly ovulating is very positive! Good luck sweetie
princess: good luck with this cycle
Jen: great list! Could relate to a lot of that I am afraid. Hope you are having nice weather in your part of the world. We have just had the hottest adelaide day in 70 years today - 45 degrees celcius!!
To everyone else :grouphug:
AFM: one day at a time at the moment. Very bloated with mild hyperstimulation syndrome so a bit uncomfortable - but it will be all sooo worth it if everything continues to go smoothly. Stick little one stick!
Easha - You'll know when you're ready to tell people. Goodluck for the u/s on Friday. It WILL be okay. :stickyvibesboy:
Karen van - I love a good tanty. Its healthy to have one every now and then. I hope you feel a little better for it.
jen - I'm  that this is your month too! I loved the list. lol
rachelswirl - Congratulations on having a boy! :bellyrubs: for Joshua.
Ruthie - I hope the HI cards arrive soon.
fifi - Goodluck with your appointment. I'm sure all will be well.
megsmum - I do know what you mean. I agree that while untelling people isn't the hardest thing about m/c, it certainly doesn't help having to relive it everytime you 'untell' someone. Take all the time you need. People will figure it out for themselves eventually anyway.
WTH - :goodluck: I'm  that this cycle brings your forever baby.
Theresa - Glad you're feeling better. Goodluck with the first scan.
Mel - Thanks, you're so sweet. That's great news about the chromosome results. Another thing ruled out. Enjoy your trip to Melbourne.
babymiracles - I usually cope really well with heat, but even I'm feeling 45 degrees. My office was a little cold today, but now I'm home and our house really holds the heat. Today is the first day that I'm glad I'm not 36 weeks pregnant (which I would be if not for m/c). And thanks for the offer. I might take you up on it if I think of any more questions. :stickyvibesgirl:
AFM - I'm so mad at myself. I have another doc appointment tomorrow morning. I had this list of things I wanted to discuss and have left it at work on the other side of town! Now I can't for the life of me remember what was on the list. At least all these appointments have given me something else to think about besides TWW.
HI all,
Have been lurking the last couple of weeks as have been so busy with training for the new job for the past 2 weeks have just not had any time for myself at all. I have a new iphone however the window is so small when I've been checking this website it would take me a whole hour or so to just type up a quick reply. And the training does not stop here, I'm off to Brisbane for just under two weeks for more training argh!!! so once again I'll be MIA. Hubby will come down next weekend at least so we can spend some time together while Im training. Unfortunatley for him his company went into voluntary recievership so he's been off work for about 2 weeks now, so he's a kept man at the moment LOL...he will be going into business for himself so he's in the planning stages now.
AFM - on the TTC side, well I'll officially start charting again next cycle (its been good to have a break!) and will be going for a blood test after I get back from Brisbane to check my Thyroid Stimulating Hormone, hoping the tablets are working, if not the dosage will have to be increased, been on them for 4 weeks now. Apart from this we started our diets today so wish us luck, not that DH needs to lose weight he has a great body but maybe to lose a bit of beer belly would be good :)
OK well sorry I have no persies for you all, its so hard just keeping up, I do think of you all and hope that your ttc journey's are progressing as they should. I must say though that Im so happy for you BABYMIRACLES....just great great news....goodluck and Im wishing you lots of joy and happiness for the next 9 months!! To everyone else babydust and to all those lovely ladies who are pregnant stickyvibes coming your way.... will try and do better at persies when I get back into a proper routine in my new job...
ciao ciao
Hello lovely ladies,
I have been away for a few weeks trying to get my brain straight as I think I slipping into obsession about this TTC thing- and not in a good way...
Jen I LOVED your list- made me laugh lots and lots.
I am still trying to catch up at the moment but lots of :grouphug::leap: for all the BFP and great scans that are popping up everywhere, well done all of you, think you are all awesome!!
Ruthie and Hannah, my thoughts are with you, sending you lots of strength and positive vibes, hang in there, things will sort themselves out- I have to believe this a lot at the moment. Haven't been traveling very well myself at the moment, have booked into to talk to a councilor and think it will help to get it all out. Have to try and move past sad and find some hope again.
WTH- wishing all your hormones high from over here!
Afraid don't have time for anything else at the moment, life is busy if nothing else. So lots of love and hugs to all of you.
Quick AFM- I really should be feeling very positive, all our tests came back 'normal' (clotting, thyroid, karyotype etc) so that is really very good. Am right in the middle of the TTW (and going crazy- are my BBS hurting more or less? Have I been peeing more??? Argg, not helpful!) But I will be testing with a few of you in the middle of next week so hopefully there will be lots of :bfp: for us then.
Take care,
Indy :loveshower:

FINALLY!! We got some good snow today!!... After remembering how awesome the snow blizzards were in NYC when I was a child.. things have changed here a lot... it's like global warming and all that has impacted winters here .. all we've seen is a little bit of snow and little flurries.
I'm looking out my window and everything looks white and clean.. (till midday I bet.. it can get gross when the cars pass by and the snow gets all dirty)..so am here thinking happy thoughts. Today is a perfect day to stay in bed and be warm.. unfortunately I have a little girl here (the baby I babysit for )who is nearly screaming cuz she needs attention...LOL sleepy perhaps
she's 10 mo and so adorable. Def helps soothe my wanting a baby need.
It's fun to see Erick interact with her... I just can't wait to give him a sibling.. cuz its' sooooooooo different when the child is not yours...
but I guess it serves as practice.lol on March I might get a second baby to watch.. I think he will be like 3 mo.. but not sure yet.
The $$ I make might help with fertility meds when and if I see the FS.
Jen: Thank you for your thoughts and prayers. Much appreciated love and the list makes me laugh every time I read it.. MAADDD true and funny!
Megsmum: yeah. no comment on my friend. About you hun... I'm so very glad you;re past the first "walking on thin ice" trimester.
From the bottom of my heart I wish you the very best love. It must be such a relief after going through all we have. Good luck sweets!
WTH: Wishing you the most +++ and best results this IVF cycle!
sending you baby dust and sticky vibes!
AJC: :hello: Hi Doll.
Zacharys mom: I'm glad you feel better hun. baby dust sticky vibes
Mel: Hi ... girl I have been wearing glasses since I was 9... so switching to contacts at times is such a relief...lol
I an nearsighted and have a LOT of astigmatism.. so I can't see much after 3 feet and I get blurred vision. uughhh
Glasses have become a lot more fashionable these days.. maybe it's a good excuse to get new one. I love mine.
I got these pair fro Gucci..very small transparent with black in it and even bejeweled so cute!
Thank you for your good wishes hun.
Babymiracles: We are all rooting for ya girl!!! Hoping everything goes smoothly and you have a healthy baby!!!!
Chappas, Easha, Karen: Thinking of you newly preggo girlies & wishing you a H&H 9 months and baby!
HannahD: Thank you hun.
Mannie: Hi hun... WOW looks like you have been pretty busy girl. Take it a day at a time hun. Thinking of you love. Hugs
Indy: Praying for a BFP for you girly!! It's ok to be TTC obsessed... I think trying to create a baby out of love and not an "oops"... is a noble thing.
Planning for it... even if it means pulling every strand of our hairs in frustrations.. but once we got that baby inside growing healthy... it will be all WORTH the hair pulling. :)
Good luck sweets!
Well ladies.. I will do my best Not to stay a lurker for too long... I will pop my head in here once in a while.. I'm going back to be a lurker. till something new shows up.
Love you all girlies and thank you so much for being so AWESOME!
:grouphug:
Ruthie
megsmum--Big *hugs* for my fellow Piscean! Are you trying to say your DH fits the Pisces masochistic trait?
WTH--Sending lots of positive vibes and massive loads of :stickyvibesgirl: :stickyvibesboy:
Theresa--Glad you're feeling better and you liked the addicted list! We had a lot of fun making it! Less than 2 weeks to go until your scan!
Mel--Great news about the chromosome results! Sorry to hear your eyes have been sore, hopefully the stronger lenses will help. Hope you have a great weekend in Melbourne!
babymiracles--My other fellow fish friend! OMG... that heat sounds terrible! I had to look up the conversion to fahrenheit so I could be properly sympathetic--that's 113F!! Crazy! We broke some records over the summer as well, unfortunately it's winter here for us, but it's been a warmer winter than usual for us so far... knock on wood! Supposed to be in the 70's for us this weekend--which is the 20's for you girls. Hope the bloating gets better! Sending some :stickyvibesgirl:
Sorry, will have to finish persies in a while. Have to run to the school real quick.... DS home sick AGAIN with strep throat!! This makes 5 times in about 6 months! Have to call the dr. today and get him in for some meds, but have to go let the school know that he won't be there. Plus, I still have to collect the recycle and the spaghetti dinner money, so be back soon!
Hello everyone!
All your posts are so filled with love for all your children, those whom you have carried, are carrying, and will carry, that I know everyday more I have landed in a place full of wonderful ladies. You are in my thoughts!
Thanks for the input regarding menses after m/c. This has been going on for 13 days now and I am starting to feel the consequences of low iron, I guess.
The list of addiction symptoms is hilarious!
Has anyone thought about, or already posted, a dictionary of the abbreviations used on this site? They are fun! It's like learning a totally new language.
Lots of :pink-babydust: to everyone! :bluedust:
Hey ladies,
just to let you know the midwife went wonderfully! She said everything seems perfect. Its so reassuring when you hear it from a professional.
She took bloods - ouch!....Measure my bump, i measure at 29 weeks which is what i will be on friday so bub is a good healthy size.
She said its head is still up, but prob wont turn completly till about 34 ish weeks. so all in all very happy baby.
such a relief. sorry just about me, but nearly home time from work so need to start closing my brain down
HannahD--Best of :goodluck: at today's appt!
Mannie--Good luck with your diet and hope you get good results on your thyroid tests in a couple weeks! I'm getting mine tested next week sometime. Hope you're enjoying the training for your new job, and have a safe trip to Brisbane. Wishing your DH the best of luck with his new business! *hugs*
Indy--Sounds like you could use a  I'm sorry you've been so down, I hope that speaking to a counselor will help! I'm really glad that your tests all came back normal. Looks like we'll be testing together next week! Sending lots of :pink-babydust: Oh, glad you liked the addicted list, and it gave you a much needed laugh!
Ruthie--Don't be a lurker for too long! Keep us posted on your mom and your HI, we'll be thinking of you and praying for you both!
RRK--You can find a thread for abbreviations/common jargon on the bb main site page. It's a huge help when you're trying to figure out what the heck everyone is saying! lol... It definitely is a language of it's own! Hope it helps lessen the confusion! *hugs*
Fluffy Bubblelips--Oh, I mean fifi-- Sorry, just came across our list of names from that silly e-mail we did! Had a little chuckle to myself over them! So happy your appt. went well, and everything is progressing perfectly!! But we already knew bub was perfect, didn't we? ;) Lots of :bellyrubs: from Auntie Sloopy ChickenNose!
Mannie - Hope your enjoying the training. I wish your DH success with his new business. I also hope the medication is working to get your thyroid under control. :goodluck: with the diet.
Indy - I'm sorry you're having a hard time. I hope taking to someone helps. Glad all your tests came back normal. Wishing you a BFP next week.
Ruthie - Enjoy the snow. We're currently in our first heatwave of the summer. 6 days at least (everyday they seem to add a day) straight of over 40 degrees (I think thats around 104 fahrenheit) and its currently day 3. And don't be a lurker, I need updates. Thinking of you.
jen - I hope DS gets better quickly.
RRK - If you go to the forum main page, there is a forum titled forum help, abbreviations and FAQ's. There's quite a comprehensive list of abbreviations there.
fifi - Of course bubs is perfect, but its good to be reassured. Thanks for keeping us updated.
babymiracles - Have you melted yet? Apparently it didn't get below 30 last night. Yet it was the first night I've slept right through in weeks. Hope you're holding up okay. :stickyvibesgirl:
Hi everyone sorry I haven't been around over the past few days Have been quite sick with those migraines again and now have the flu too. I'm not even going to try and catch up i think there were like 4 or 5 pages at least since my last one so i think I'll just have to catch up as i go along.
I finally went to see that neurologist about the numbing pain in my left thigh and adter some simple tests have found out that i have a condition (which i cant for the life of me remember the name of) Basically the nerve that travels from my groin down my thigh is being irritated and whenever pressure is put on it it will get worse like throughout pregnancy and having 3 D&C's in the last 12 months haven't helped. The doctor said that when we do fall pregnant that I may need to get some injections to minimise the pain because the baby weight will make it quite severe.
Yesterday I went to see my gp about these migraines and flu only to find out that she was away so had to see another doctor. After talking about my current illness he began asking about the baby stuff and went onto tell me that we need not worry about testing about the miscarriages because we've only had two and that two isn't a concern. I'm just scared to go through it again and so I wanted some answers, is that silly of me?? I'm really confused now, doctors can be so contradicting.
So on the baby front asides from the doctors I am still bleeding. My husband is worried because about a week or two ago the bleeding stopped so we:bd: and then i started bleeding again and now he's concerned that he's hurt me or done some damage.. I told him that's silly but he's really stressing about it. Does anyone now how long is too long too have a period for or bleed for after an op? It's been going on for over 2 months and I cant tell what is my period or if I've even had one at all!! I'm very frustrated at the moment I just want to start trying again. Sorry that this one was very all about me girls. I am thinking of everyone and hoping to hear some :bfp: in the next couple of days.
:bluedust::pink-babydust:
:stickyvibesboy::stickyvibesgirl:
jackjack - I would see your doctor about the bleeding. Two months seems a long time for bleeding to continue, especially after a D&C. (In my case, the bleeding stopped after 2 weeks). I'd go to your doctor as continued bleeding may mean that they missed something with the D&C the first time. I hope you get it sorted out soon. Big *hugs*
Just a quick me update....
I had a follow-up appointment with my GP this morning. She discussed some problem solving strategies with me to help me deal with people (especially my mum at the moment who won't accept that I don't want to drink alcohol while TTC). Its all so simple really, but when you're brain feels like mush most of the time finding solutions isn't easy.
She's also ordered some blood tests as a general checkup to make sure I'm physically fine. Then I have my first appointment with a psychologist on Monday. Feeling a bit apprehensive about that. Just not sure what to expect. I guess it'll just be a 'get to know you' kind of session, being the first.
