Well I officially have a :cold: I think that is why I have been so run down the last few days. I have had plenty of rest today and DF even went and got us lunch so I didn't have to make anything. He is so sweet - he just makes me smile :)

Just wondering if I can join you? My name is Kristy and we have 2 beautfil daughters, Jordan who is 12 and Ava who is 22 months.

First of all I just want to say how sorry I am to hear of your losses - what an emotional time for us all and hopefully the next month will bring us happiness again with some baby dust around!

I found out I was preg in Nov 08 but sadly started bleeding on 15th Dec 08. I lost the baby on Christmas Eve - I was 8 weeks :-( The doc decided I didn't need a D&C but my levels were never tested again after Christmas Eve. They were 200 - fast forward to 9th Jan when I get really bad pain and end up in hospital check levels and they were 710! So after many scans and blood tests every 3-5 days the doc's conculed I have an infrection in some left over tissue. After a couple of more heavy bleeds and some antibotics my levels as of last Thurs are at 50. The last bleed was like a period so I'm going to start charting now. So CD1 on 26.0.09 will just wait and see what happens.

Hello to everybody else! I hope everyone is doing well.

AFM- Sorry for my lurking as of late. I know I hardly ever post, but I still check this forum every day to see if any of you lovely ladies have gotten your BFPs. January was an amazing month for so many of you! I am on CD 37. My last two cycles have been 32 days. I have never been regular though, even before the m/c :wall: It is driving me crazy! I POAS two days ago and BFN. I just wish it would start if it is going to start. I am trying not to get my hopes up. I have had mild cramping for the last 6 days. I know this could be a sign of AF or pg, but I've had no other symptoms of either. I am definitely going to start temping next month so I can make a little more sense of it all. I'm hoping it will ease my stress a bit too since I will have a better idea when I O. We'll see!

Just wanted to say im so sorry I havent been in here very much over the last few months. I was finding it really difficult to read stories of loss as it was making me feel so fearful. Im so sorry if that sounds insensitive, I certainly have lots of sympathy and understanding about loss and Im so sorry that so many experience it, but after 3 m/c in 18 months, I just needed to get my thoughts away from m/c. Please forgive me :redface: I never stopped thinking about you all.

And thankyou so much to all the ladies who never forget to mention me in their posts...you are all so lovely to still include me.

Well, I have made it to 12wks and everything seems to be going great. Many of you probably know that my mum is a midwife. Lucky for me, she carries a doppler with her everyday for house calls, so the other night I got to hear our baby's heartbeat for the first time. It was amazing! The next day, we did it again and found it again, 170bpm...wow, the best birthday pressie I have ever had. I have now shared the news with everyone and it feels amazing...after 3 years of no success, I thought I would never get here. I have my first m/w appointment today, so im really looking forward to that.

I hope you are all well, I miss you all and this wonderful thread. All of the ladies here helped me through some very tough times and for that I will be forever grateful. You girls were my strength and my inspiration :grouphug: THANKYOU!

First of all, I wanted to thank you all for your wonderful posts. I've been reading them since my MC on xmas eve, but have only just joined. Until now, I couldn't put anything into a cohesive sentence.
I was 8 weeks (like you Kirsty) and had a D&C on Boxing day. It has been really really rough on myself and hubby as this was our first pregnancy, and was very much wanted.
The good news is that AF returned 2 days ago,-very very heavy and painful, but kind of great too. We will TTC immediately,-I keep dreaming of my son as a teenager....weird.
Again though, your stories are so comforting and uplifting, thankyou all for being brave enough to share your griefs.

clockley and Kristy :welcome: to this thread but so sorry for your losses and hoping you will both get a BFP very soon. m/c is so devastating and to have that all happen over christmas must have been especially difficult. Feel free to vent, grieve, yell, scream, cry and whatever else you need to do on this thread. You are among women who understand and are very supportive.

Issy - congratulations on getting to 12 week mark and for hearing the baby's heartbeat - how exciting and wonderful for you. Wishing your second and third trimester are enjoyable, and stress free.

AFM: Had a blood test this morning to make sure all on track (to try and calm my nerves). Fortunately everything is as it should be and hcg is 4200. I estimated it should be 3000 based on on test last monday so very happy with that. I had a bad morning yesterday stressing about misscarrying again so hopefully todays test will reassure me for a day or two. Back for another next monday. Hanging out for scan which I think will be in two and a half weeks.

hmmmm...so much for the BD marathon....sorry for TMI....one go and I have a gorgeous UTI! :wtf:

My doc is running some tests because it's so soon after the m/c just to make sure it's only a normal infection. She's good though ~ no grief about trying again, just supportive. She even suggested I should take two tablets at lunchtime to get started so I can have three today and get better quicker. Probably antibiotics (even though they're on the 'safe list') will mean this isn't our month....bummer.:(

AFM - really scared, just trying to take one day at a time and enjoy it, though very hard to do. I got an appoint 24th Feb (so I will be 7 weeks) to see my gyn/ob who will also do a scan. I will be holding my breath till then till I see a baby on the screen. But also just my luck, I find out hes probably on holidays when I am due! ahhh, will still see him though but just very annoying.

AFM - Snowing here quite bad today, expecting phonecall from DD school saying they are going to close early.

I woke up this morning to a nice thick white blanket of snow, bit extreme from the weather most of you ladies have been experiencing!!

Also had a phone call from the doc this morning who has had my blood results back from last week and i'm anaemic :wall: so he has stuck me on iron tablets to hopefully sort that out.

Well i'm off to play in the snow :D

HannahD--Aww, hon.... I saw your ticker yesterday said CD1, and I was soooooo hoping that it was a mistake! Sometimes when you go past the last day of your cycle, the ticker restarts at CD1, so I was really hoping that was the case! :hug: Like you said, at least AF had the decency to show on time and not leave you hanging and wondering... not much of a consolation, I'm sure, but we have to find the silver lining somewhere, right?

Thanks for the hugs Jen. I definitely need them as AF showed up this morning. I literally had an HPT in hand. Oh well. DH and I started a fire AND broke our bed last month while DTD. How does that not make a baby? :ROFL: Time to start temping! Hope it goes well and doesn't cause any more stress! I'm going to try not to be moping around today. I'm definitely not as down as I was last month. DH and I always try to get out and do something fun if AF shows up so we can stay positive and not be bummed out.

Princess&MaternalBride&Jen- I'm crossing my fingers you get your BFPs this month!

Hello beautiful ladies! Sorry no time for persies today. I just wanted to drop in and let you know I went to the doctors on Friday and they started me on medroxyprogesterone for 3 days to hopefully bring on AF. Praying it comes soon so we can start TTC again.

Me--Well, my temp dipped this morning.... and I've been pretty p!ssy the last couple days.... I'm sure it's that nasty biatch AF and her :pms: companion, so looks like I won't be testing on Friday. I've gotten pretty good at reading my body, and I'm just not feeling like this is the month for me. Will be going in probably on Thurs. to get my thyroid BT done to see how that's going. I still think it's probably too high, and after researching, I think even if it's 'normal' it's probably still to high to be TTC! Guess we'll see once the tests come back. Feeling very blah and annoyed at the moment, and super sick of fundraising! Found out yesterday that my ONLY good friend that's been promising me a limo ride to auction off at the silent auction has been lying to me the whole time about it! For a month she's been telling me that we'll have the limo for sure... then yesterday (2 days before the dinner/auction) the limo driver supposedly had a family emergency.... well, in my attempts to find another limo service to make a donation, I unknowingly called her friend that was supposedly out of town due to this family emergency... and she had never even freakin' brought it up to them or asked them for a d@mn thing!!! I'm so :angry: If you can't trust your own "friends" who can you trust? :wtf: I just don't deal well with people lying to me--tell me you flaked, or you have too much on your plate to deal with... but don't promise me something and then lie to me just because you don't want to deal with the consequences! I haven't even told her yet that I know... and I'm such an un-confrontational person, but I know I have to say something, I just don't know what or how yet :( Sorry for the vent girls... feeling now more than ever that you girls are the only ones that can comprehend my frustrations, and the only ones that even care! I can't stand people lying to me either. I too am not good with confrontation, I never think of anything good to say until after the confrontation. You do need to tell her that you know, just be calm and honest about how you found out. And make sure that she knows that its the lie you're upset about.

shortcake - I hope the med bring on AF soon. At least something is being done now, rather than just waiting.

Mel - I wish you all the best for your new work role. Challenging is good - keeps the mind busy. Will be thinking of you next week.

AFM - I had my first appointment with my psychologist on Monday (I'd almost cancelled when AF showed and brought cramps with her). Have been feeling pretty raw since then as I had to go over dad's death as well as the miscarriage. But it'll get worse before it gets better, right? I also spoke to one of my bosses, just to let him know what is going on. And I told my mum last night. She's knows something hasn't been right, but has felt a bit lost because she can't 'fix' it so I think she's glad I'm getting help.

I'm starting to wonder if the m/c was the universe telling me that I have things I need to sort out. This isn't a self-blame thing, its just me trying to give it meaning I suppose. It put me in a position where I need to ask for help (something I almost never do) and has also given me a reason to get that help. Maybe now that I'm on this path, I'm sending a signal that I'm ready for my forever baby. Just a thought.

Oh, Hannah... :hug: You remind me so much of Toccara, and I always feel this 'sisterly' urge to protect you and comfort you! This is a HUGE step you've made towards healing your heart! :clap: It's not easy asking for help, and I just want you to know that I'm so proud of you for doing this for yourself!

HannahD - I don't really know what else to say but :hug: For what it is worth I think you are doing all the right things to help yourself move forward. You will have your forever baby soon, just keep telling yourself that!

AFM - Have had a really busy week now that DD is back at preschool 3 days a week, so have not had a chance to post before now. I miss her when she is not here, but at least she loves going so that is all good. Otherwise just plodding along until my next ob appt in 2 and a half weeks time (but who's counting!). Have had no dramas (touch wood) and MS is still coming and going, but feeling OKish today after a few sick days late last week and over the weekend. It is so reassuring feeling sick! Oh well, hungry tummy is calling, better go and have some lunch while I can LOL

For us it's been helpful to think that newbie wasn't able to be here for a long time because someone else is coming who needs us more. (I have a few important people in my life who are quite spiritual and believe this isn't the only time we are here - I'm not so sure yet!!) But I think it is a very natural instinct to try to find meaning in our experiences, good, bad or otherwise. Congrats for seeing your counsellor ~ that's such a brave step to take. :hug:

Jen ~ 'friends' are such strange creatures sometimes!!!! Probably it didn't help that you found out when you are feeling so yuck about AF and PMS. Why do things always come in 3's? Calm communication about your feelings and the impact of another's behaviour is so good in theory and can be so tricky in practice! Good luck.:hug:

Mel ~ glad you didn't melt here. I think we're wusses here in Melbourne because we're just not accustomed to the real heat! :D Good luck with your handover at work.

HannahS ~ we've just treated ourselves to a new bed after the other one gradually got softer and saggier so I can appreciate needing an update but I'm really impressed you actually broke your's!! :)

Hi ladies, sorry I've been non existant here lately I've just been flat out. Jen, Hannah, Chappas, Megsmum and shortcake thankyou so much about your concern with the bleeding. I actually did have to go back in after my D&C because some placenta was left behind causing me to get quite large blood clots. But now that's gone I would've thought that should've stopped by now I had the procedure for that done 4 weeks ago on friday and I am suffering from a lot of cramping. It's really weird too the bleeding gets really light and will actually stop for a day but then the next morning when i wake up it's back. I'm going to go back to that doctor I saw this afternoon even though I don't like him I just need to ask some questions and I really cant wait until my doctor gets back next week.

I went to a party with my husbands work mates on the weekend and because I was sick (and because we are TTC) I didn't drink so they assumed I'm pregnant and asked which was really awkward and sad for me, I had to leave the table. Then on Sunday we had a big clean up and went through all our stuff including my boxes of baby clothes in our spare room left from DS; very hard. So not really a great weekend for me :doh:

meh - I don't know if I believe it, but I like the idea that we get to come back. 80 years just doesn't seem long enough to 'get it right' and to learn all we can. And lots of people don't even get that long. I hope the antibiotics do the trick and you feel better soon.

jackjack - :hug: to you. I'm sorry you had a rough weekend. I still feel caught off guard when people ask about babies. I never seem to remember any of the things I rehearse in my head. I don't really know what else to say except that we're here for you. Let us know how it went with the doc.

I tried to read through what I've missed and was just overcome...so I am gonna chicken out on trying perssies this time around. Please forgive me...:D

Okay a "me" post...had an appointment with the perinatologist yesterday...baby looked great heart rate still 163...it has been 163 every time...very consistent little one...LOL...did the First Screen yesterday...kinda anxious about it...also found out that due to the Lupus my blood is too thick and causing clotting concerns so I am going to have to give myself daily Lovenox injections...YUCK!!! Dr. says that without the anticoagulant I could develop small clots in the placenta which could distress the baby. So all in all...we've made it to 12 weeks YEAH :dance: and there are a few concerns but nothing that can't be controlled at this point. Oh doc also told me we will definitely NOT be going to 40 weeks...apparently the placenta begins to lose some functionality in Lupus patients at around 39 weeks...so I'll be induced around 38 or 39 weeks if we haven't already given birth.

AFM - Feeling so sad today, BT = BFN. Does anyone know anyone like me who has had many "biochemicals" (meaning just a little bit preg but did not stick, ie v low reading on HCG, mainly around 9 - 25), and then went on to success. I really need a cheer up story.

smilinatu - glad everything is going well so far & the few things that have come up can be controlled. I was scared about having my bub early but the medical teams are fantastic. Sam came at 34wks & 4 days and did really well. There were lots of babies in the nursery tho who came around 28 weeks and they were doing well (with medical help of course) too. I'm sure no matter what this bub will arrive safely for you. Will be following your pg closely - please keep us updated. We're all here for you.

jen - big big hugs :hug: Hope your thyroid BT comes back with good results. Sorry to hear about your 'friend', I sometimes think lying is a disease. If she'd never promising the limo ride in the beginning then she wouldn't have upset you. People complicate their lives with silly stuff like that and it's annoying that they drag other people into their fantasies.
