Trying to Conceive After Miscarriage/Loss July 2009

evening all, thanx goodness its the weekend and i now have a week off WOO HOO!! Anyway i am a tad confused at the moment with what my body is doing. I was so excited for af to arrive but it was so so light and only lasted 2 days so i have no idea whether it was actually af or what the go is. A friend of mine who is a nurse said that maybe it was so light coz of the d&c. Has anyone else had a similar first af after m/c or d&c? Im going to the docs on wednesday for a couple of other things so i might ask her what she thinks it was. Im so looking forward to looking after my 5 month old niece in the morning, shes getting dropped off at 6.30 so nice and early start. Hopefully it will get all my hormones flowing and i get bfp very soon, thats what happened last time anyway. :welcome: to sparkles and hello to everyone else and i hope you all are having a good weekend. So, I followed cherished and Sparkles this way. I sort of feel like I don't really belong - because of our molar pregnancy we can't start TTC again until at least January, and possibly later. Sucks. So I might lurk around here until then, chuck some babydust around, etc.

I also behaved like a bit of a crack head last night. I figure since "grown-up" privileges like having babies have been put on hold, then I may as well make the most of the time I have to act a bit recklessly. Had a party last night - I shunned our fine glassware in favour of an empty Vegemite jar. Took me back to 20 year old sharehousing days!

cherished - tissue testing from my d & c took a week, but I don't know if it was rushed because of the molar? Glad it went well though, I was thinking of you!

Anila - plenty of skinny ppl have m/cs and plenty of fat people have healthy babies. So tell your sister to shove it. Some ppl have NO IDEA! If I posted a boo-hoo for every insensitive comment I have had, this forum would shut down, I swear!

My faves have been "I think sometimes you need that before you start." Really? So why didn't you abort your first then, if you truly believe that?!
"It just wasn't your time" all round a baddie, but particularly harsh coming from someone not married, still living with her parents and an unplanned baby - 48 hours after I left hospy. (note I am not bagging the choice not to get married, she hasn't made the choice not to, she's just not organised enought o have actually done it)
And in reference to the molar
"At least you know you can grow a good placenta" Ummm, no, not really, if the thing is going to grow back and potentially go cancerous.
"At least they found it now" OK, you obviously just don't get it. Leave me alone.

Meanwhile, people I hardly know have been the best.

So, anyway, nice to be here, I'll mostly be lurking, won't have heaps to post, but I really hope all of you land some sticky babies very soon. I'll be right here cheering you on!

Hi girl's ive spent the day at taronga zoo with the kid's so i am buggered they dragged me around all day 6 and a half hour's later we had spent freaking $600 dollar's on petrol entry food and souvenier's and dinner on the way home so it was a once every couple of year thing and we wanted to spoil the kid's before we start our ivf anyway just wanted to say hi to our newbie's i remember sparkle's sorry to see you are back and i just thought i would add cherished our tissue and chromosone test's took a week to ten day's at most but genetic test's take about six week's if they have an idea what they are looking for otherwise is can take up to five month's i know chromosone translocation's can cause M/C ask your doc what they test for and make sure they test for everything

Eliselouise- After my D&C I didn't get my first period until about 5 and half weeks later. It was very light but seemed to last forever (maybe 6 days or so, I am used to a 3 day period). My 1st period after the D&C was then 30 days later and had returned to normal. Best to check with your doc anyway when you are in there if you are concerned at all.

Snugglybean- WELCOME, feel free to hang here for as long as you need. The women on this thread are awesome. Just to let you know that a friend of mine had a molar pregnancy first off (my understanding is that they are quite rare) and has gone onto have 2 children since.

Coco- great bargain hunting. I was thinking about getting a babies blanket recently at a childrens wear outlet sale that was 70% off and couldn't bring myself to do it. I love that you did.

Kyrawolfe- Hopefully you get that's good nights sleep I was wishing from last night tonight.

Ferals: I'm sure the kids enjoyed the day as much as you guys did, money well spent I would suggest for a fun day out. I'm a friend of the zoo in melbourne (I think it costs about $160 per year) and we can all go to the Melbourne Zoo for free, it pays for itself as we don't live far from there. I always take a cut lunch though- I guess DH tightness has rubbed off on me.

Kat- Did AF arrive?

RB is showing symptoms of appearing so I haven't bothered to test. will wait till due and see what happens then, or maybe just one test :) lol

Coco: I have my 'hope box'. It's a box full of babies clothes, blankets etc that friends have given me. A few of the items a friend gave me and when she gave them she said it was because she knows I'm going to be a mum **sob** made me feel so great to have it said.
DB talks more about us having one...always 'when we do' not if we do. I feel like a little kid wanting Christmas to hurry up!
Kyra: that party does not sound like it was fun. I can't believe the cops didn't shut it down. That's whats great about where I live, on 50acres you can have a massive party without upsetting the neighbours.
Ferrals: your day out with the kids sounds great. Just the sort of thing my mum used to do when I was little...fingers crossed IVF goes great for you.
Snuggles: while you may not bd right now your still getting in the mindset and dealing with emotions so this seems like a good place to be, it will be Jan before you know it!
EliseL: a week off! I am so jealous! Make sure you pamper yourself and relax. I can't wait for the bris ekka holiday in a couple weeks - be my first day off in a few months, next holidays after that are November.

josh'smum what a shame you have the flu and drank water while you were out... one of the joys of getting af is that you get to drink again and of course after a D&C (ie, me lol) I had red wine with dinner last night when dh and I went out for dinner and it was LOVELY

Sammy It's hard to know when to start buying the bub stuff again and when to hold back because you just don't know how it will make you feel... After my 1st loss in March I hadn't looked at the stuff in our bub room until about 2 weeks before I got my 2nd BFP when I was out one day and just started buying girls clothes! We were sure our 1st bub was a boy and after my splurge on girls clothes I guess the 2nd loss was a girl??? Anyway we will enjoy shopping again... Personally I don't think I will buy anything until we know what gender we are having next time....

eliselouise I had a regular af after my other D&C, I did chart straight away though so I knew that I ovulated and my temps rose and than when AF came they dropped etc... I'd say it was a regular af for you though if it came around af time?

AFM I'm doing good, bleeding the least amount in the last 50 days to the point where it's just a very light brown discharge "thank God it's over"! I'm feeling good, have been helping dh in the yard today and am praying that I haven't put on too much weight when I get on the scales tomorrow! :pray: today I was 600 grams heavier than I was on my weigh day last Monday :rolleyes: Oh well I just need to keep on the wagon!

Cherished- glad that the bleeding seems to be nearing the finish line. Don't worry too much about a little weight gain, you can always get back on the wagon next week.

AFM- Feeling loads better today, Flu symptoms, fever, ear aches, head aches etc gone now, just got a nose running like a tap. AF still hasn't arrived, although I think I can feel her approaching. Even if I was 100% I probably wouldn't have had anything to drink last night just in case. We, DH, DS and the pooch have just been to the park where we threw a ball for the dog and kicked the footy. DS played at the playground. Beautiful day here in Melb so it was loads of fun. Just about to settle in front of the TV to watch the nettie- very excited.

Still no AF for me Joshsmum,.......few days over now.....I tested thismorning before I went to work and still BFN,............so dunno wat to do. Still getting period pain like niggles every now and then, gone through a tone of dunnypaper I've been checking so often. Never have been this late other than when I was pregnant last time, but BFN making me feel hopeless. DH and I are to start our first round of IUI....................cant start my injections untill Day 5 of cycle so waiting waiting, not patiently anymore.:wall:

Sorry it;s all about me today, I can't vent at work and DH is at a BBQ havin beers with the boys. YAY XX
PS what do I do with my counter it says day 2 but it should be day 34? :doh:

Cherished I am with you...no more buying stuff until I am up the duff and at the 12 week mark. I have got half a wardobe of stuff, with the excitement of DP finally saying yes to having a bub...I have been ready for years - he has been working up to it for ummmm....I dont know 9 years haha...I got a heap of stuff (as did my mum - she is so cute), then I got banned from buying anything else by DP cos he thought I was going overboard...then I fell and all bets were off, I was a shopping monster! Now, I can't even bring myself to look at it...it is all still packed up from our move...I will unpack it all when I am up the duff again! I really can't bring myself to buy anything....very weird when I couldnt stop myself before.

Im feeling quite anxious..no impatient..for my new cycle to start..I dont know where Im at...I have a ticker saying about a week or less to go for testing but I dont be testing, its more to keep an eye on my cycle..


REEEEEEEAAALLY NEED SOME HELP!
I know I said this before, but, I didnt know where I was in my cycle before the laparoscopy. I had EWCM the day before the op which was CD10 and a negative OPK that day and the days before that..then on the day of the op when I got home I had an almost positive opk...but keeping in mind I didnt have anything other than a cup of tea to drink since 11pm the previous night so wee was quite undiluted..then it just got lighter again..(the opk..)

They didnt do a D&C I think, but the gynae said she was going to takeka strip of my uterus out, and also I had endometriosis cut out (dont know how much was there) and then I had bleeding which was like a spotting/light flo for 2.5 days...so...Am I on CD10? Or am I 9DPO???

I started having sticky CM then it has started to get runnier and creamy in last 2 days so...:dunno: Also I have temped *2 times** and it seemed kinda high..so not sure whether it it luteal phase temps or not.. grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

I ordered some OPKs so hoping they'll come tomorrow...

Coco.....i have my fingers tightly crossed about your CM!!! That was and is (besides fatigue) the only preg symptom ive had! I hope my suspicion is true!!! :dance: What are the chances of conception after the procedure?

Sunny, i dont think Im pg. We didnt bd when i think I ovulated *THINK...* I dont even know when I did, and I cant remember when we bd'd before the op...

Chances are high after having the op done so awaiting for the new cycle or to see if im in a follicular stage...Im just HATING not knowing where/what/when.

this is a quick "all about me" post. I've been so happy, not loving everything in my life but happy.
Then yesterday I see mail that tells me council rejected my request to waive my traffic infringement as I gave two different stories WTF???
Then driving into Bris this morn a car is in the merging lane and attempting to cut off a semi, who of course swerves to miss this stupid little car. Only problem is I am right next to him so I end up in the centre of the highway trying to not roll my car.
THEN...i decide to go to mums and have a cup of tea to calm down only to find ANOTHER letter from Ipswich city council adding $7.95 to my fine becaude I didn't contact them and they had to do a rego search!
I rang up and ended up in tears saying its bad enough that I've been fined for going to hospital because I was losing my bub but then you add to the fine??? the girl I spoke to was lovely, she read my file and said she honestly doesn't understand and is so sorry, it must be horrible for me and removed the additional fee.
It's just such a crappy morning. I don't want to go to work I just want to curl up in a ball eat chocolate icecream under a blanket and watch dumb tv.

One of the symptoms of having endometriosis is spotting for a few days before your period...a girl i know said that I might spot for a day then get AF. Is that right? I am concerned that if I spot before the period for more than a day that means the endo it still there? Also..Im worried that if the period is extremely heavy/painful whatever, is that bad too?

My post op appointment isnt until september. I kinda want to know now what was going on down there...do you think that's too much to ask? I migth call the gynae and see if they can give me a report..

afm- I'm very happy today as I went to see Pink in concert last night and it was fantastic. I'm also feeling like its the pre game for TTW as I'm starting OPKs tomorrow with the hope that the Clomid will make me o somewhere between cd14 and cd17 rather than my usual cd25. I'm so hoping this is my month because I don't get a go newt month as donor daddy will be away when I'd need him so :crossfingers:.

:( im starting to think i may really have endo, my mum thinks i might too and wondered if thats what caused my mc :(

Anila: Hope you dont honey..Apparently that's what "most likely" caused mine so... *shrug* Im spotting now...Im :pray: that AF comes tomorrow or later tonight otherwise Im going to be suspricious of whether they got it all... :( My happy "omg af is coming yay" feelings are now "damnit, Im spotting and oh no what if they didnt get all the endo and its still there and we cant fall pregnant" feelings... ugh

Went to accunpunture yesterday, so lets hope it gets me back on track, have quite painful cramping and constant spotting, ob said this could happen as the infection after D&c was blood sitting in my uterus which he said could just spot over the month, or not, or do whatever it wants really, so hoping the cramping is a sign my body wants to get rid of it. Can't wait till all this cramping etc stops and i can sort out my cycle. Apart from that doing well, have so much work to do but no motivation to do it, oh well. Hope you all have a lovely week :)

just want to thank everyone for the support , AF arrived in full early this morning, i was upset at first, but i am being positive and thinking well at least it wasnt a 40- 50 day cycle, like i have had previously.

Sorry af is showing up for u to Tina, lets hope this cycle we can get our much wanted sticky bfp together.

I think this cycle, im not going to concentrate to much on bd every second day, but instead im going to concentrate on dropping 5 kilos, i have my sis wedding at the end of sep and i have to have my dress altered, so would be nice to have shed a few kilos in the process.
Im thinking of haveing my tat finished, i have been putting it off till i loose weight, its been 8 yrs now that i have put it off, so i thought i might as well get it done anyway, and i have a hair dye here i need to put through, so ill do that too.
Take my mind off ttc, for a while.

I am attempting to use a whipper snipper today for the first time..I had to borrow uncle shanes because DH has not taken ours in to get fixed....its been 2 YEARS now...We have been in this house for 1 year and the edges are looking like the ghetto..Also he never mows the lawn...

I know he works alot..but why do I have to spend every day doing work around here!!! It's driving me MAD!:wall:

Anyway...I dont know how to change the cord of the thing, and Im sure Ill have some bruises from things flying up at me but Im just going to wear goggles and trackpants and hope for the best...

Coco- mow that lawn! I'm sure you can figure it out. I have only had to do it a couple of times although have struggled every time. For some reason I always forget to flick the switch on the lawn mower and stand in the back yard trying to get it started by pulling that stupid cord for 20 minutes before DH decides to help. Great news about the arrival of AF, it seems they must have gotten it all.

Sunbeam- Pink would have been awesome. I wish I had of gone when she was in Melbourne. I have some friends who went and said she was better than Robbie Williams. He was very good so she must have been great. Very jealous! Hope you are able to recover from your hectic weekend soon. How's the excercise going? You mentioned you were going to start this week.

Anila- sorry about the arrival of AF, although sounds as though there is a silver lining with your cycle being shorted this time. If you think you might have endo trust your gut and see someone. Unfortunatley we know our bodies better than others, although some of us are very confused by our bodies at the moment.

KatCat- has AF shown up? I'm eager to hear some positive news. If she has good luck with the IUI next month.

Sparkles- I have a meeting with a Chinese Dr this Friday- I am so excited, hopefully she can help. Although I am feeling a little nervous about the acupuncture part.

Tina- Hope your day today has been awesome, especially in comparison with yesterday.

AFM- Still waiting for the arrival of AF, although I haven't tested since last Friday I'm still not hopeful of a BFP, I guess I will try to hold out testing until Friday this week. I am feeling as though she is coming. Like everyone else I am a little confused by my cycle. Since the D&C my cylces have been- 33, 30, 34, 30, 34 days. Based on the US I had a few weeks ago it seems I ovulated about 18 days ago, which seems like a long luteal phase. I guess there is a chance that I might not have ovulated at all so I am now regretting not accepting the 21 day bt from my Dr when she offered it to check if I o'd. She convinced me that I probably did because my cyst was described as a corpus luteum in my report, although I know if is difficult to differentiate b/w corpus luteum cysts and follicular cysts on US. I regret not asking more q's to the Dr who did my U/S. My boobs feel heavy (which is common before AF) and are a little sore (but I did body pump again yesterday so that could explain that). Please help me to hold off testing until Friday, it seems when I get my hopes up and test it comes up BFN then I get AF that same day. I feel like I waste alot of tests.

Again sorry about my long post and rant, I really am feeling pretty good despite my head being in overdrive. Hope you are all awesome.

Joshsmum: lol...your head being in ocerdrive..I could never have said it better myself! it is so true of how we think and act. We 'know' all the symptoms etc but unfortuneatly so many could be either :(

Anila and Coco: I think I am a day or two behind you so we will be in the tww about the same time :) Coco: stay away from the snipper! Anila: BD when you want! its fun that way and can often give you the result you need. I have started looking at the week that I should and try to be home around then, if we bd, we do, if we don't then I have decided there is always next month...till RB hits then I'm all depressed :rofl: friggen psychotic TTC ladies we are :)

Sunbeam: lingerie party is not till this weekend, only three girls this party :( but it is getting the name out there lol. A friend in Melb has offered to have a party so the trrip is all tax deductible lol. And your lesson learnt is??? check the asnwering machine..sleep is awesome :lol:

Sparkles: i am with you...DO NOT USE THE SNIPPER!!! they were invented by men to torture us. They are dangerous and confusing. On the upside, after using one for about an hour you will feel like you have done 4 hours of aerobics :)

Hello everyone...

I'm having a BIG "I want a baby day"! Since my weight gain yesterday my focus has shifted again to having a baby... I'm still calorie counting but my brain is half thinking about that and half thinking about a baby again :rolleyes: I really wanted to stay 100% focused on loosing weight to keep my brain off wanting a baby so badly, especially since we can't even start trying for like 6-7 weeks (depending when AF shows up again) :wall: AND to rub it in when I get back from my lunch break there will be 5 cutie pie kids coming in and one baby....

Subeam that sux about going in to find clients have cancelled.... did you at least take it easy and get on BB heheheh :p

Hello my lovelies i was having a good day my ferral's are at school my eldest son is in hospital after his op it went well and his father is with him as my son is staying with him for a while because he is going through the 16 yr old nightmare stage and DH and i are sitting here suffering as we got our DNA kit's in the mail yesterday and had to stick our finger's and soak two test pad's with our blood yuk now our finger's are sore after the repeated proding to get enough blood (ouch!) so all the blood work is now under way we just have to wait until they develope our probe and we can start i just have to not get pregnant natrually so i'm back to being careful now let's pray they find the probe quick they reacon 8 week's but i hope a bit sooner it seem's like time is going a bit quicker now i'm not ttc and testing all the time.

Cherished-i have i wan't a baby day every day it is hard but i can see i light at the end of a really dark tunnel now i hope you will to.

Tina-my work has put a block on our internet use they are party pooper's.
