Scarypinkfairy - it's good DH went to the Dr! They don't tend to want to go. It's hard to know what to do, especially if they have gone away. Probably a good idea to agitate for more investigations if they reoccur. Then the question about whether to go to the same Dr or a different one comes up. I have changed Dr's before when I haven't been happy with the service or wanted a second opinion. Obviously I have changed Dr's when Ihave moved too. Once you have made the decision to change the hardest things are finding a Dr that you like and then waiting while you develop a rapport and they get to know your history.
-
hi everyone,ric-yes got my pos'o' stick, did the b'ding so hope caught the egg, slippery little things...craftymummy-i would say you'll be 'o' soon...cookie-glad you got a good report...murraycod-so exciting for you...twinsister-great news...ferrals-how are you?Busy shopping for your boys.My 4 year old was looking for presents the morning after we set the tree up...Dory-What's happening with you?
-
Mathew's Mums - strange you should ask. I am not a work today and that is good but I have had some conflicting advice about registration of births in Qld and just trying to sort it out. Crazy bureaucracy.
Births Deaths and Marriages (BDM) says all births must be registered including still births ( which in Qld is defined as 20 or more weeks gestation or weighing more than 450g). So based on the def of still birth in Qld I didn't register my son Nicholas or daughter Sophie's birth. And didn' get any advice to either.
But during my consult for a second opinion recently, I was advised all live births irrespective of weight or gestation are required to be registered. Both Nicholas and Sophie were alive at birth. Well Sophie certainly was but it's less clear about Nicholas according to the 2nd opinion Dr. BDM doesn't define "live birth" on their web site and its sort of implied that "all live births must be registered but it doesn't actually say that. I am waiting for a call back. It's just so confusing, and a bit of a set back emotionally. I am worried if I have to it will mean having to chase up the Dr's in attendance at each birth and get them to fill in paperwork... but then having the birth certificates would also be quite significant, even though I had just gotten used to the idea that they wouldn't have one. I should just quit worrying and deal with it if it comes up. Will keep you posted about what I find out.
Good news for you - you must be excited! That is such good news.
-
dory - how messy and confusing - theres nothing more frustrating than mixed messages and crossed wires!Hope you get it sorted out soon - without too many emotional drains.

Afternoon ladies
I have a shocker of a headache usually a sign that AF is not far away so hoping they come by monday.
Mathewsmum-i have to much time on my hands now i done all my chrissy shopping before we started our ivf i like to be organised i have even wrapped everything and done there santa sacks aswell i even went as far as buying all next years school uniforms bags books ect so that has left me nothing to do except count days to BDing LOL.
Murrycod-have fun on the rollercoaster it is exhausting wait til all the BT and U/S start and the injections at one stage i was up to 3 injections in one day 1 had to be taken at 1am so had to set 3 alarms for that one it is a very busy time and with me i had to add 3 kids going to school and work some days i was up at 4am to make it to appiontments by 7 and i had to drop my boys with family at 6am so they could get them to school for me plus i had all the genetic and PGD testing ARRRRG!!! the waiting for the results of the fertilisation report and the day 3 are worse if people on normal ivf get to blast stage even if grade 1,2 or 3 they get a T/F we had to go one stage further and they had to be a stage 1 or 2 only to be tested and then if normal they could be T/F so all you need is a couple of blasts at the end and you will be fine i have confidence you will have a new year BFP.
SPF- men hey!they can be a worry my DH has a shocking bad tooth giving him hell he wont go to the dentist as he thinks it's to expensive :o we just spent $14,000 on ivf i'm sure we can afford for him to get a tooth pulled.
Dory-we lost abbi 1 day short of 20 weeks and we were told that she would not be registered unless she took a breath the weight comes into it if people are not sure of the due dates abbi was registered as a death though because we had her cremated so i find it weird that she wasnt classed as a registered birth but was for death i wanted a birth certificate but in the end i have plenty of hospital records and U/S and one photo of her and her little footprints on a hospital birth card so that is enough for me i am not sure how far you were but if they made it to 20 weeks or took a breath they should have been registered and centerlink recognise it and you are eligable for the $5000 baby bonus we missed out by one day which i think is petty of the goverment when you think about it.

AF is here! now the countdown begins
-
hi all,Ferrals-hope af not as bad as they thought she'd me,there little blue tablets you used to be able to get from the chemist to help wit the pain sorry forget the name...Dory-did you get your phone call, everything about this journey is so emotional, hope it gets sorted soon.I wasn't entitled to a birth certificate for Matthew but i did get a life certificate from 'bears of hope' they do ones for all gestation and all circumstances.thinking of you all past & present ladies, just reading or posting
-
Hey gals. So much has been happening in here.
murraycod - that is awesome about your FS. It does make a difference to have someone you like and who is knowlegeable and well regarded. Well done.
It makes such a difference. I dropped in to see my obstetricians receptionist yesterday as I was in the same building paying an account and was walking past the rooms anyway. Whilst we were gossiping, the ob came out and joined in ( there were no other appointments waiting, which is strange) and it felt so nice to be welcomed and just have a relaxed conversation. It was good to see the ob for things other than trying to ease my anxiety or a scare or the beginnings of a loss or during a loss or the aftermath of a loss.
ferlas4 - good ole AF - does that mean your headache went away? I can't believe you are THAT organised. That is simply amazing. How do you do it?
Thankyou so much for the support yesterday esp Mathew's Mum and Ferals4. Births Deaths and Marriages (Qld) did call back! No need to register Nicholas or Sophie's birth.
A live birth in Qld, as relevant to me anyway, is one that occurs after 20 weeks gestation or if the baby weighs more than 450grams and if neither of those are met, then there is no need to register.
Hope you can have an enjoyable sunday.

Hi ladies!!!
sorry I have been MIA - I don't always get to the boards, so may often seem a bit "quiet".
so many posts to catch up on....
SPF - HUGE HUGS - so sorry about your cat. XXX  and I hope your DH is OK. I
greencake - (nods & hugs). As long as you pop in to tell us when you get your BFP!! :)
Ferrals - nothing to forgive!! that's the good thing about being here, everyone supports each other, and thankfully we don't all have our melt-downs at the same time!
(oh, and the tablets mathewsmum was refering to - Naprogesic. The nurse at the hospital recommended them for the cramping post m/c and they did help).
Sparkles - I too have a short luteal phase - mine is 11 days, but I was told that less than 10 days is considered too short, and that spotting days don'c count, only full AF days. Obviously 14 is ideal, but it is till higher than 10!
Twin sister - glad that you have had some good news. bring on the vommies!! ;)
Murraycod - great news about the FS! I'm sure it will all work out for you :)
dory - hugs, becasue that would have been frustrating.
AFM - CD5. Clomid today. just waiting for the shag-fest to begin (usually around day 10 for me). I've been feeling unwell the last couple of days, so I hope I am not coming down with something - getting sick just doesn't fit in my schedule!
hello to everyone I have missed, and to all those chasing eggs - good luck, and fingers crossed to those in the 2WW.
-
hey girls, i just wanted to say i am not testing as we haven't been ttc, but where the hell is my af?!? my longest cycle has been 33 days, so i still have 1 day to go but i don't have a good feeling that she is on her way any time soon :( i will give it till the new year....
thanks for your messages about my cat and my dh. i think it will take me a while to get over losing my little girl. and my dh seems to be ok for now.
milly5 hope clomid works for you and you don't get sick!
dory at least that is a little weight off your mind. i think it would have been hard to try to dig up all the info you needed. it would have probably brought it all back.
ferrals4 hope af is not as bad as they said it would be!
Twin Sister glad everything is going well for you x
murraycod wow, looks like you have got the ball rolling now... hope you get lucky first try!
-

Scarypinkfairy I STILL DONT HAVE AF either..................
This is rediculouse, I have to keep changing my ticker to lengthen my cycle length.
Spoke to FS in Adelaide thismorn, he told me to just ring the nurses when I get AF, and if she hasn't showed by the end of the week, I'll be pushing the envelope on starting this month and I will have to take something that will bring her on, he also said that they will fo anoth HCG test just incase the one on Thurs was still too early,......yeah, of all months....I doubt it very much.......Hurry AF I'm so impatient now :wall:
The longest cycle I have had in my life was 35days last month, but that was cuz of the Puregon and Pregnyl having the IUI done so late.:shakehead:
-
Hi All,
Hope everyone has a good weekend.
Craftymummy - Thats a good news that your boys are coming to Oz Land...must be looking forward to their arrival. All the best for 2ww, we really need some BFP for motivation and hope. So when are you testing???
Matthews Mum- You are too in 2ww wait as well, so when is your testing day and how are you feeling?
Milly - Hope Clomid is working well for you, do you get nauseated or so??
Dory - Glad that you Resigtration stuff got sorted out and dont have to worry more about it, now you can relax and work on other things as well.that is a weired process over there..nothing like that here in Victoria...
Eliselouise - how are you feeling hun? thinking of you..
MurrayCod - this is unfair...when we dont want AF, it shows her face before time and when we desperately want her...she has to harrass us to the notch, make us feel miserable and then arrives.. Hope you get you AF quickly to start fresh.
And hello to everyone else i missed.
ATM - with me, according to my 30 days cycle - i am in 2ww, so 5 more days to testing, i am not keeping my hopes up, as disappointed last month..now i have realised "Catching that egg" is not a easy stuff, esp when you dont know whats going on with your cycles...But i am little-2 positive as well. Its wait and watch game now..
i am strict about testing a day before AF is due..lets see what happens
-
Morning ladies AF was not as bad as FS predicted just a little longer than normal i would normally be almost finished by now but she still here and i have gone through almost 2 boxes of tampons so i am hoping tomorrow it will be finished.
Milly-LOL shag fest thats what i'm waiting on to.
SPF-has AF turned up yet maybe a little one snuck in and you get an early xmas present.
Craftmummy-how nice to have your boys for a visit i bet the heat will knock them for a six.
Murrycod-same thing happened to me i was desperate for AF to start and then it was late its a pain in the butt she turns up when you dont want her than doesnt when we need her to show up.
-
afernoon everyone-dory-your ob sound nice...milly-hope your feeling better,it's hard b'ding when sick,we've had to when both have been sick, not very romantic..Scarypinkfairy-hope cycle sort out soon...craftmummy-the waiting now.good to hear you had some good famiy news...murraycod-hope cycle gets it act into gear soon, unless their is a really, really good reason she's not coming...ric-good luck with test day, hopefully you can kick start the rest of us.i'm testing next tuesday(day 32),got a councilling app that day ,so if it's another bfn she will earn her money that day.Got a fs app the following friday,he told me if wasn't utd this time,he will do further investigations as it will be year ttc'ing.Hope i can talk to him about a pregnancy plan instead...ferrals-glad to hear af is nearly over for you, hope you get lucky this cycle...Anyone else in the tww(maybe coco)...

Hi girls!
Sorry for the absence - have been off on a shagfest of my own  O'd last Thursday (at about 9pm, I reckon!) while we were in Sydney. We stayed in a couple of dodgy hotels, and one night at a friend's place out int he burbs near my family and some friends. We had the most beautiful romantic weekend. Probably the best part was getting *very* sore boobs yesterday while trawling the bazaars of Newtown with DH.
I also had a teeny tiny spot - on what would be 3 dpo, have never ever had this before, does anyone think it could be an implantation spot?
AND no family Christmas do would be complete without someone getting drunk and saying something dumb. This time it was my dad, made various comments about being impatient for a grandchild and how hard it was for him to tell his friends that he wasn't going to be a grandfather anymore (yeah, nice one, dad) so I ran off and had a cry. The upside of this? Well, I wasn't drinking, so I wasn't just having a sook because I was a bit sozzled. I was emotionally fragile! And I have been SO fricken teary for two days since.
Testing on Tuesday. Can get my BT any time this week, but I think I'll just get it tomorrow. As DH says, result is great either way - on one hand, could be pg. On the other it is my official final zero! :leap:
Work hectic. Won't be in much, between work and getting ready for Japan.
But things are awesome here! Love you all so so much. :grouphug:

Evening all
Sorry i havent been posting much lately, have been very busy and also just trying not to think about TTC too much this month as i am kinda struggling with it a little bit.
Dont know when i ovulated so just hoping that we BD at the right time. Hadn't even thought about testing until yesterday when my boobs became REALLY sore. Have also been feeling a bit nauseus the last couple of days too. Boobs are still sore today but it could just be that AF is on her way, so have no idea whats going on and i think that if AF is not here by friday i might test.
Good luck to anyone else testing this week
So sorry girls that i havent done any personals but will definately do them when i have a chance to sit down for an hour or so.
Talk soon & take care everyone
