becanavi-congratulations!!!!

Hey Mummytotwo - I'm nearly 13 now - but I used to hate it when people came in here and still had their pregnancy tickers - so I'm not going to leave my sig on! But we've had our 12 week scan and all was well, I could have cried. I'd already had two scans! I'm starting to relax and enjoy the pregnancy - I can now feel my uterus (sometimes being a nurse is a good thing), so that is good, I can keep an eye on little treasure. I hope your testing either shows something fixable or just says, go for it, you've been unlucky but there's no reason your next pg wont be fine. At least you'll have known you've tried everything and checked everything!
Bec - can't wait to see some sky high HCGs from you! Such good news :D
MM - :crossfingers: for your transfer today!! May the sticky be with you, I have everything crossed, and I hope you don't mind, I said a prayer for you today.
spreading lots of :pink-babydust::bluedust: Although the dr's best guess would say we may have more :pink-babydust: at the moment :)
-
Bec- that is awesome I am so excited for you! Wonderful numbers woo hooo!!!!
MM - hope they transfer a lovely sticky one xxx
Hello everyone else :)

Hi Hopefulgirl I just came across your question regarding changes in cycle after a m/c and was looking on here for a similar topic. I had an early m/c at the beginning of March and since then my cycle has changed from 31 days to 34 days. This is my second cycle after the m/c and af didn't start on CD31 so I'm expecting it on CD34 again which will be Monday. I haven't seen my GP since mine but after speaking with my mum and sister about it (who have both sadly suffered m/c also) they both told me it's quite normal for a woman's cycle length to change a bit whether it becomes shorter or longer.
-
Thanks everyone! I have a scan Wednesday week to make sure everything is in the right place and growing, so for now I'm just taking it as it comes. I really hope this is my miracle baby...:)
mummytotwo: my recurrent m/c testing was done after 2 m/c and showing nothing really except for an endometrial polyp which I had removed and then had another m/c so clearly that wasn't the problem! My new FS thinks it might be my weight, so I lost 10kg after the 3rd m/c and got pregnant again after that (which was my hetrotopic, ectopic, blighted ovum twins, which FS says was just bad luck) and now this time. I was annoyed at the time that nothing showed in my BT's or anything becasue I just wanted something to fix to guarantee it wouldn't happen again. But sometimes that doesn't happen, and my FS assures me that is a GOOD thing. Good luck with it all XXX

Girls I have a question - would I ovulate if I still have HCG in my system? My M/S was 4 weeks ago. I have had negative opk's and then strong positives indicating I would ovulate....i did a preg test 2 days ago and it was negative (just wanting to check no hcg). So that would mean no hcg in my system don't you think????? .....
-
hi everyone ,thanks for all the well wishes....wannabemum-thanks,don't mind at all...joeve-don't think their be any hcg left...afm-transfer went well,1 embie on board,2 maybe 3 were getting frozen this afternoon, the rest were being left in lab to see if they get to blasty tomorrow
-
Rest up MM! Time to get your sticky bubba on! I am crossing everything for you xxx
-
MM - good luck sweets. Hope this is the ONE!
Becnxavi - thanks so much for the info. I know finding nothing is the best outcome but then it gets you thinking "why have I had 4 m/c?". I am a bit overweight too - probably about 10 kgs above where I should be (about 80 shld be 70). If you don't mind me asking were you much overweight? That might be my next avenue - lose a few kg's although my ultimate plan was to get back into shape once I had finished having my family :)
WBM - should habe known approx how many weeks you were - d'oh! Great place to be x
starz01 - I am sure cycle changes are perfectly normal. Good luck getting yours back to a place where you can get your bfp!!
Joeve - was it a natural m/c or d&c? I would think hcg should be gone & a neg pg test would indicate so but cldnt be sure. Hope so so you O & magic happens :)
Hi to everyone else - must get these kidlets into the bath after a big day in the sun.
xxxx
-
mummytotwo: I'm much more overweight than than, but my FS said even 5% loss would make a difference, but go for 10% which I did. GL with it all.
Hi everyone else! Stay well XX
Bec
-
Mummytotwo: yes natural just short of 8 weeks. Hmmm wonder if I did o then? I am just wanting my body to get back to normal. Feels weird to think my last AF was in Feb and its now May!

Hi everyone I hope you don't mind me dropping in. Just sort of wanted some advice. Yesterday started bleeding at just over 6 weeks and scan today confirmed miscarriage. I am gutted and numb and don't know what to feel as this makes it two mc in two months. I thought I was so lucky to fall pregnant right after my D&C, mostly because it was my first ever BFP naturally. But now I am wondering if it was too soon after the d&c. Google says to wait 1 to 3 cycles. I of course did not and did opk and DTD but never really thought it would work. Now I don't know what to do, especially now I know I can fall pregnant naturally. Do I wait a few cycles just in case? Was this mc because my body wasn't ready? Or is it just bad luck? Or am I out of my mind? And I am scared. I guess also want some reassurance that I didn't 'bring this on myself' by purposefully ttc. I hope this makes sense? Xx
-
hi everyone,babydreamtime-sorry for your losses,i have heard the wait period dr's give a lot of the time is for dating purposes & also our emotional well being, lots of women have fallen quickly after a loss & they've been okay..
-
Babydreamtime, I am so sorry for your losses. I agree with MM - it's about dating. There is evidence coming out that you actually have increased fertility for 1-3 months after your m/c - perhaps that's why you were able to get pg naturally. If you feel emotionally and mentally ready to try again, I say go for it. We were pregnant second cycle after a natural m/c (m/c cycle, then pregnant). I'm now 13.5 weeks and all is well. It can happen!
MM - how are you going post transfer??? When are you testing? I'm still stalking you...
-
Babydreamtime my fs said to me recently these things are quite often determined at conception. Lots of ladies go on to healthy pregnancies with no af after mc. I am sorry you are here but we will keep you company til you are ready to join a belly buddies group :).
I am trying to work out when af will arrive for me it's been 5 weeks since my mc. I am pretty sure I o'd 2 weeks ago so she should be here soon right??? Where is the instruction manual? Lol
-
hi all ,wannebemum-thanks,bt has been brought forward to monday, having some bleeding, might not be my turn yet again....joeve-has af showed?..
-
MM glad they have brought it forward for you. Hope the bleeding stops :)
No AF just some brown stuff sorry tmi!

Hello ladies,
Im in need of a little advice if you all would be so kind...
My cycle as been pretty regular since my miscarriage. The first cycle was all over the shop. But every cycle after has been 33 days then the last was only 30. Which brings me to today... CD33... Still no AF. Previous 3 pregnancies.. i found out I was up tha duff.. by getting spotting at the time my periods where due.. then went away the same day. So untill I see that.. im not convinced and not keen to waste hope on a HPT. As anyone knows... im imagining symptoms left right and centre... but what I am now really wondering... would my body do the SAME thing after a miscarriage.. or could it change so that the "sign" im waiting for .. may not come at all???
Im one lost puppy.....

huge congrats to phee, have a healthy and happy pregnency!!
Im waiting til my operationg end of this month to go see the gyno and get back on track. Would be very upset if i got a BFP test and then couldnt get my knee done and end up in a wheelchair like what was happening with the twins.
But if it happens it happens.

Trying again after 2 MC
first time posting on this site but thought now that I can try again after waiting two cycles the support might do me some good .... I dont know all the 'short cuts' or the abbreviations but will give this a go...
I have had two MC and with the last a D&C and was told I needed to wait 2 cycles before trying again. Just finished the second and should be hitting O in about 10 days or so, will start testing Wednesday. I dont do temp charts etc but use Maybe Baby spit test which has worked for me in the past.
I am very nervous to start trying again... very nervous to get AF disappointment and even anxious if I do fall pg will I be walking on egg shells throughout the entire pg???? :shakehead: I really thought the last pg would stick and was in total shock when it I lost my angel. The whole way through the pg was so strong I had no concerns after I saw the heart beat at 6w...
Has anyone gone through this with their 3rd try? any advice?
-
Hi :hello:
Just wanting to join this thread if that's ok.
As you can see from my sig this is our 9th month of TTC. Long story short, we only have a 1 in 20,000 chance of conceiving naturally, but last month we had a little miracle. I got a BFP! But then several days later I had a mc at around 5wks. It was my second mc, I also have severe PCOS & elevated ANAs so I know it's not an easy road for us, and our DS was an IVF/ICSI bub. But for a few days there it was rather exciting.
So now we're back on the TTC wagon yet again and judging by my temp & OPKs, the next 24-48hrs or so should be the big "O". So I'm faced with the big do I or don't I...
I know I should probably wait at least one cycle, but then I think I don't really want to "waste" another little eggie since we've already been going so long and our chances are slim... but then again I think "do I really want to go through this all over again" and oh I am just so confused!
Gah! It's all so difficult! If anyone in here has a crystal ball could they please pass it my way???
-
BOC - just jumping in from stalker land (I'm not here anymore, but this was my saviour thread for a while). I'm so sorry for your loss - I hope you're giving your DS lots of hugs - I found DS made it so much, well, easier isn't the right word, but you know what I mean. There's no reason to wait a cycle if you've had a natural m/c. There's some evidence that shows increased fertility for the first few months after a m/c. Doesn't mean it will happen, but certainly no reason to wait! If it helps, we were pg after one normal period following a m/c. A sticky one too (:crossfingers:). As I said, it doesn't mean it WILL happen - but it's worth a try! Good luck, I'll be stalking :)
-
Silver Bell - I know I'm a bit late now in posting. I just want to give you my condolences over your m/c. I sincerely hope that you conceive again very soon and have a happy and healthy pregnancy. I have had only had 1 m/c which happened not long after I stopped taking the pill and that has been the only time I've ever fallen pg. The thought of falling pg again and not knowing if it will be a successful pg terrifies me but I know that it is worth the effort.
BOC - I am keeping my fx for you that you have success in your journey TTC. All you can do is continue to try :)
I had an early m/c in March of this year. We have been trying to conceive again since with no luck so far. I've had 2 AFs since and now it has decided to disappear on me and I have no idea why. I'm 2 weeks late and I've had 3 BFNs and with no symptoms of pg so I know that we haven't gotten lucky with it yet. I'm going to see my GP to have some tests run sometime during the next week but until then I'm left to wonder what my body is doing and why.
To be honest it hasn't been easy for me since my m/c and both my DH and I aren't coping too well. At the moment we're living in hope that it will be our time soon and comfort ourselves in thinking that we had a m/c for a reason. Maybe the baby would have been sick and it was better for my body to have let it go naturally and early.
