need some help ladies, as most of you know im very very new to charting etc and im currently day 16 so when would be a good time to do the dreded HPT?? should i wait to see if AF comes back around the 18th or coz of the PCOS should i just do it another time? Im not holding my breath for anything but was just wondering. Im also gunna ask on another thread about the 7 day pee on a stick to see if iv ovulated once DH gets paid (hate xmas and new year as im always poor after lol)

mummydeb: i had an ectopic in feb and bled for 6 weeks and i fell pregnant the first time i had sex after that, but that one ended in a miscarriage..and that one was in june at 8 weeks so it took about 5 cycles??
im pretty sure i could have fallen sooner if id have charted my cycle properly cuz this was the first month i did it properly and it worked, i recommend getting "maybe baby" it shows your hormone levels by saliva (if you didnt know) you can pick them up in the chemist for about $80 or on ebay for $60ish. once my doc and i figured out the proper dates it worked straight away!!

shan: as i wrote above for mummydeb, get a maybe baby for ovulation, as for hpt i would wait til youre due or a day or so before.. i waited 2 days after i was due to do mine.. but i knew in my body like a week later so everyone is different xox

thanks alisha, i had maybe baby but found it a waste of money, i looked at the chemist today for the clear blue 7 day tests digital thingy but its expensive too. Do they sell the cheaper ones? Coz of my pcos i dont no whether i do o or not so think next week i might get it. With the twins it was just pot luck. Im gunna try getting the ovulation thermomiter in the mean time and start charting....coz im not working and school holidays i dont always wake up at the same time

i bought the thermometer and i found it was no good! plus my doc told me that the thermometer only shows the spike in ur temp after youve ovulated!
my friend bought a bulk lot of ovulation pee on the stick tests from ebay when she was trying, like 100 for $20.. they didnt work for me but they worked for her.. its like they werent strong enough for me or something?? i reckon its worth spending the money on expensive tests!!

Hope everyone enjoyed their NYE. We are having a lovely sunny day for a change.. soaking it up while we can.
I haven't taken too much notice of my cycle.. But seeing as I bled like a period when I M/C early last month. I am quessing ill be seeing AF at about the 8th onwards. I keep telling myself that short of a miracle.. I won't be pregnant. Then I look at my diary.. and we DTD loads all this cycle. So if all was working as it would otherwise. We are at least in with a chance. Especially considering that I concieved in October and we DTD only 3 times!!! AARRGGHH I think that Im thinking too much!!! It was my original wish to have a September baby... so id would be AWESOME to get that!

same here, I dtd basically from the day AF stopped and sort of havent stopped bd'ing since then lol Im hopeful and if AF isnt here by the 20th then ill test but screaming at the back of my brain is "i have never had a regular period since i was on the pill so whats going to be different this time"
I guess like all of us TTC im just sick of getting the BFN hpt :(
I too am not trying to let TTC rule my life but i just want my own baby for us, i dont want to hold someone elses baby and then have to give it back, or write congratulations again and try be happy for my friends when inside a lil peice of me is breaking all over again.

shan: have u spoken to ur gyno about your options? i had irregular period and he was going to put me on medication, i dunno what it would be now, but surely there is something they can do for you?

Thank you everyone! It was a super start to the year; I didn't even get the champagne bottle out of the cupboard because I was so sure I'd see the two lines!
MummyDeb, between the loss of the Little One and this pregnancy there have been two cycles. We started trying again straight away, but that miscarriage went on for a full month and a bit, so "straight away" was a bit later than it sounds. And I too hope you can join in at the end of this cycle!

yeah iv spoken to gyno, got another appointment next month with him (he is fantastic) and endo. Gyno is talking about clomid if im not utd by then so im confident this year is our year and im trying not to get too carried away lol

All is well here, but have noticed I've been going to the loo alot more ... don't know if its a sign or not, wish i could test already lol!! Had some shocking headaches :( and the heat is full on! Had the aircon on a bit more then I usually do in summer!
I hope the 11 days goes fast for you Shan85... lets hope we both get nice BFP :)

yeap same with me mummyDeb, Blinding headaches and hot hot hot!! I really hope i get a BFP.... would be such a great start to the year. The thread has been quiet loanly now, so many getting thier BFP, Hope its our turn soon :(
EDIT: oh and another friend just announced on fb shes UTD :( Im very happy for her and her first lil girl is so cute but its breaking my heart. I wanna make that announcment and then not have to say "sorry everyone another m/c"

Hi ladies. Sorry to hear about the headaches. Hope it means you are getting some good news soon. Nothing really interesting to report. Just sitting here at 3 dpo, waiting for something to happen. I didn't think we had a chance this month because of everything going on, but we managed to BD 3 times around O time, so we actually do have a chance. Really trying not to obsess this time though because I can't take much more disappointment at the moment. Just waiting to see what happens.

your about the same stage of cycle as me ck08. Im hoping we all get great results, hopefully all the ladies getting BFP are drinking the same water as us lol TMI
I also found last night after going to the loo i had slight brown DC when whiping, i was so paraniod i was getting AF again but today its gone. Im feeling sick every morning until i eat something and even then iv gone right off my food..... wonder wtf is going on lol

Oh I had light brown DC the day I tested positive for my angel...I was about to take the test and thought Oh crap AF is here but tested anyway and got a nice BFP...just wish it had stayed that way!
I'm trying not to obsess either...I don't wanna be disapointed...but this is only my first cycle so it can still happen... I also heard another of my FB friends are pregnant and as much as I wanna be happy, its so hard...
Surely its all of us who are next to announce a BFP!!

i just got a 7 day urine testing Ovulation kit, its a clearblue one with the hpt in there too, im trying to resist testing as iv still got 9 days left before i test. and now u said u had the same thing mummydeb im trying to resist even more!
We all deserve the BFP so im hoping....
Im selling some of the baby clothes and toys and the porta cot tonight so that gunna suck :( My babies should be wearing the clothes and playing with the toys....
