Thanks bubbat, LysnDan & minivini2b :) I'm glad you understand and I'm sorry you had to be in a position to be able to understand.
LysnDan: Oooh GL with the BDing! Grr about the work lady! How rude of her! That's such a personal thing to just go and blab. Not nice!
minivini2b: YAY for positive OPK! I'm going to try those this cycle I think.
Mia01: Hope you had fun BDing and catch that eggie! Sorry about your m/c :( It's absolutely awful and I hope you have some support. We're always here if you need a shoulder. LOL about standing on your head. I don't think I would've lasted that long, with all the blood rushing to my head.
starz: Ooh I am watching for you in the TTC thread. I didn't realise you'd had a m/c. I'm sorry about that :( It sounds like you could be pg but from my experience, getting your hopes up only to have them dashed by AF is quite awful. Praying that it is a nice sticky safe BFP that just doesn't come up this early on a HPT!
AFM: You know how people say that TTC is like a rollercoaster? Well I thought of my own analogy the other day. TTC is like being on a merry-go-round. Round and round you go through the cycles. Then suddenly, one day BAM! You're off the merry-go-round because you got a BFP and now you're on the Tower of Terror, which rises nice and slowly but very suspensefully and full of anxiety about what is to come. Then suddenly BAM! The baby is born. The ride drops and you plummet into a new frightening but exhilirating world. You come off feeling a bit worse for wear, but so glad that you did it!
This is my analogy based on what I know about TTC and merry-go-rounds, know about pregnancy and what I've heard about birth and what I've heard about the Tower of Terror (cause I'm not game enough to go on it!). Hope you enjoyed!
-
That's a good analogy on TTC and having children in general phebee. Isn't it interesting that you have been told that having a baby is equal to jumping on the Tower of Terror however we all want to have that sooo bad?! Are we crazy or normal? Hehe. Nah I can't wait to have a baby! Have you noticed that there seems to be so many more pg women around you when you are TTC than before you were even thinking about the idea of it? I'm seeing pg bellies popping out everywhere at the moment and I just wish that I had one on me!
I just finished watching a movie with my DH and during the movie there was a scene with a pg woman and he turned to me and said "that's what you'll look like with a belly baby!" and he had such a big smile on his face. Those moments just make me want it even more!
-
Oh definitely! Before it made me grin, but since my m/c it's either made me sad or grin in hope. Hopefully it won't be too long before any of us are able to grin because we have the belly!

Minivini - Yay for O! Gotta love when something goes right for once instead of feeling like you are :wall:
LysnDan - That is really ordinary that your collegue blabbed on you. I unfortunately have no secrets with my boss (& his boss) after I was rushed to hospital as I couldn't just pretend it was nothing. They are great and really supportive though which is great.
Mia - Thanks so much for all the good wishes on the wedding - I am getting excited now and counting the days til I finish work so I can concerntrate on the last minute stuff :) Hope you catch that eggie on O today
Star - :welcome: to the thread Hopefully from what you have said your stay might be very short. Have you been tempted to test yet? I am a shocker for testing early - mind I figure now there's no point for me as it wasn't til AF was due that I got my BFP previously.
AFM - Hen's day was great and everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves. I am feeling a little worse for wear this morning as I have not had enough sleep. The boys made a big mess of my hose with the bucks but they cleaned some up so tonights job is to finish getting my house back to order. No spotting since Friday so we are back into action for Cycle 11/ Cycle 1 post M/C Yay! No idea when I will O so I guess I will just do OPK's til I get a positive. I have no idea how anyone manages to wait a cycle before trying again, I feel like I have been waiting forever and it's only been a week or 2.
-
hi girls!
bubbaT i totally agree with you on the waiting - i have no idea what i would have thought if my doctor had told me i had to wait two cycles or more to start TTC again. Once bleeding stopped (which was minimal due to D&C) i was like okay lets go again!
And it was definately a releif and exciting to see the positive OPK at such a normal time. Day 17 is so much better than my normal 25 day O!
Starz - couldnt agree with you more.. i have never seen so many preg ladies around since we have started TTC and what is with all the HPT ad's on TV at the moment? ive never seen a HPT ad before and now all of a sudden they are always on TV!! wt?
AFM - TWW feels like it is going to take forever.. trying to think of things to occupy my time and thoughts! any ideas of what you guys have done in the past would be helpful! last time it was over xmas so i barely thought about it until my AF was due!
bye for now!

Well girls my AF came today so no BFP for me this month. I'm relieved though because this is my first AF since the m/c so my body can begin getting back to normal now.
bubbat that is awesome that you had such a great hens night. I only got married last November and my hens night was so much fun sometimes I wish I could go back and relive just that night. Congrats on your upcoming wedding. I'm sure you will be a very beautiful bride :)
minivini I cannot believe the amount of hpt ads on tv either! Clearblue and First Response seem to be having a commercial battle at the moment. They must be making a mint from all the publicity they are getting! I kinda wish they would slow down a bit though because when I finally have my moments when I'm not thinking about TTC while watching a good tv show and an ad comes on it's like bursting my bubble!
I guess the best way to avoid thinking about your TWW is reading a good book or watching a lot of your fav movies during your down time. In fact how about you arrange to do some really nice things out of the house with your DH like a nice dinner or lunch and then a good movie afterward. Have fun and relax :) Good luck!!!

evening ladies, decided to spend the day at the womens here in melbourne to sort out AF and sure enough im aenemic, dehydrated and on new pills. So far its slowed down alot and they think should be gone by the morning. It gives me the S**** when you say to the doctor IM NOT PREGENENT as i had 2 blood tests and 2 urine tests, they still do both. IT AINT GUNNA BE DIFFERENT FROM LAST WEEK PEOPLE!! I havent been able to BD in 37 Frigging days and so how could I be UTD?????!!!!!!!!
anyways keep everyone up to date.
xx
P.S I agree phee, very much a merry-go-round either way
-
shan - immaculate conception.... NOT. Glad that things might be sorting themselves out... FX
BBL
-
Shan, glad they're sorting it out for you, I had to giggle at the what the at the doc made me think of a time I had been single for over a year and had gastro and the doc was convinced I was pg and wouldn't believe me that it was impossible lol
-
Shan- I hope things are ok now. Dr always look for the easy answer I reckon! After my ectopic in Jan, I still had a rising HCG level 4 weeks later and the Dr told me I'd probably fallen pg again. Uh, no...I had just had major abdominal surgery, DH wasn't getting anywhere NEAR me!
Stars-Sorry to hear AF ahowed up, but glad things are looking positive. GL this round!
Phebee- I agree with the merry go round things, and the tower of terror afterwards! Although it's feels like your free falling into space after bubs is born, there are also those amazing moment where you can just think, "this is my baby!" and be blissfully happy :)
minivini- TWW are the worst, I agree! I have to make sure I don't have too much down time or I start doing HPT at about DPO8! It costs me a fortune! I try to walk every day in my TWW and I imagine myself walking along with a big pg belly, and thinking positive thoughts, and that's my special time to think about it and aside from that I try to just keep busy! Easier said than done most months, but I try!
bubbat- sounds like you had an awesome hen's night, and I hope the wedding is just as enjoyable! GL with it!
Hi everyone else!
AFM: I am on CD3 and started my FSH injections today, and looks like I'll be o'ing Easter Monday or Tuesday, which is after camping so I'm very relieved! So begins 5 weeks of injections most days and scans in between...and around goes the merry go round again!

Hi ladies! Sorry, I haven't got the time or the memory (on my phone) to do persies but I just wanted to let you know something...
You know how I was really down the other day when AF came and my work friend announced her pg etc? Well it turns out there's a reason I didn't get pg that cycle I think God was protecting me and the baby that would have been if I was pg!
Remember how a couple of weeks ago I said my PKU was playing up and my phenylalanine levels were REALLY low, despite me eating more than my daily allowance? The theory was that my mc caused that, so I was enjoying a few weeks of eating more protein than I'm normally allowed... And I got quite slack. I kept getting really low levels so I didn't bother being too careful.
But now my body seems to be back to normal because my dietitian emailed my blood test results from last Monday and the level was 432. For safe conception and 1st trimester, my levels need to be 75-150. They were far too low before at 30, but if they're too high it can cause all sorts of horrible birth defects/mental retardation etc
So now, despite my rant the other day, I'm really thankful that I wasn't UTD and AF came on Friday!!
Now I know, I can get my phe levels back to a safe place in time for O early next week :)

Okay, time for persies now!
bubbat - Glad you had a great hen's day! :D Not long to go now hey? Hope the house cleaning wasn't too dreary! Hope your OPKs are helpful! I'm trying them this time too. I didn't want to wait a whole cycle before trying again either! So I made it a Not Trying Not Preventing cycle.
minivini2b - I think I'm going to ask them to ban me from here during my TWW. It just makes me obsess. I am already not temping/charting this cycle, so hopefully these measures will help get my mind off it when I get to the TWW again!
starz - Aww sorry hun :( Hope she doesn't stay for too long and your body gets back to normal quickly.
shan - *hugs* you sound frustrated and I don't blame you. Sometimes medical people have no clue when it comes to saying unhelpful things. Hope your new meds do the trick though!
becnxavi - Your walking during the TWW sounds like a great healthy distraction! I might try that next week :D Glad you can O in a time where you can get some BDing in! Hopefully you can get off the merry-go-round soon!
AFM: Not much new to report since this morning. Seems that AF may have left the building, but she can be quite tricky. I get to CD4 or 5 and she disappears and I think "YAY!" but then I get leftovers later that evening or the next day. Grr. Hopefully that's all this cycle and I can focus on OPKs on Friday.
