Ooh a new puppy! I'd LOVE a puppy but were going to have kids first so that's a few years down the track.
Friend at work told me today she is 10 weeks. She knows all about my miscarriage so she's saying how cautious she's being about obsessing and planning announcements and stuff. Strangely I didn't even feel upset. I think because I already knew she was off the pill so it was a possibility. Some people at work and myself have had our suspicions and from what she says, we knew before she did! Lol! So yeah, I'm not upset, just happy for her and I think it's because she told me privately and I didn't find out with everyone else (who will find out in a few weeks).
This weekend I am Oing, so I'm hoping I can get my BFP and tell her just as she tells the rest of work about her own... But then again that's me obsessing about 'perfect timing' again, which I did with my angel. And look how that turned out!

Breaking news!!!! AF HAS LEFT THE BUILDING!! thank god!! left this morning....and feeling wonderful now lol
Puppy has just had a bath lol
Anyways still going for U/S monday morning to see if there was any reason why and then to school. Friday Im making an appontment with my gyno to start again with a better more sensible plan!!
-
hi everyone hope you all had a nice relaxing weekend.
matthews mum - i havent had too much in side effects i dont think. ive had a dull headache since friday afternoon but nothing too bad. and it could just be from the heat so who knows!
did you notice your AF was shorter on clomid? my AF pre-D&C was always 7days in length (on and off the pill) but this was my first period since D&C and it was only 4 days? I dont know if this is a sign the clomid is going to work or if it is from the D&C? not that Im complaining lol - i just thought it was a weird change.
for all the girls coming up to O good luck! still not sure when mine will be depending if clomid works so could be anything from day 9 - 28 lol. hopefully it will come sooner rather than later. I have got OPK tests so hope to pick up O and BD all around that!
-
Hi ladies,
I was just wondering if I can join your thread? We have been TTC#2 for almost 3 years, and we have a georgous 4 and half year old named Xavier. I have PCOS and don't ovulate so we've done clomid to death (3 pg and 3 angels) and now I do injectable meds to induce ovulation. We just lost hetrotopic twins in Jan/Feb, and I'm about to start it all again...I think. Half of me is desperate to get pg again, and half of my is terrified! Does that make sense?
Anyway, I hope it's ok if I hang out here and share your journey too,
Bec

Grrrr I'm still not ovulating!!!!! Annoying!!! DH stayed home because we thought we could catch the egg! Gosh I'm sick of bding!!! :( never thought id say that.
Well this month will be out unless I have already ovulated...? And in that case we prob missed the egg because we haven't been bding much at all :(
Have a squiz at my chart if you like? It's in my sig!

Shan - YAY for AF leaving.... but still make sure you take lots of iron, both tabs, from meat ( if your're not vego) and non meat sources ( apricots, avocado, almonds, hommus, leafy green veges).. you still need to take care of yourself. GL tomorrow though, you're still going right? For your u/s?
Phebe - hope you catch that eggie.
Becnxavi - oh sweetie - so good to see you in here! YAY for taking the first step to admit you're going to TTC. So totally understandable to want to TTC but totally petrified to be. I am walking that very path now. Hope your stay is short and you get a sticky bubs very soon.
Melzi - I am only just re learning how to read charts. .... but I'll look at it and let you know what I think. Nah, it's so easy to get over BD'ing, when you're focusing on TTC and not feeling the love. But you've got soo much on your plate right now.... easy to be over it.
MM - how many days into your 2WW are you?
AFM - so excited. I might have O'ed. Noted a temp drop, and then rise, and also some changes in CM. So it's kinda exciting thinking that this might actually herald an official start to TTC. And maybe even my first TWW?
BACK AGAIN - Melzi - you could have O'ed... you had a temp drop of about .2 then a rise. But then another drop and rise. So it looks like you might have had a estrogen & LH surge Then your temp has stayed high ish since, which means progesterone is there. I have only just joined FF, and was surprised to read in their lessons that the ideal fertility window is 2 days before O and O day, but that as the LH phase can vary from woman to woman the "fertility window" is "longer" maximum of 6 days. But it is early in your cycle - what's your usual cycle length. I always wanted to make the most of the fertile window and so would BD from day 10/11 to day 21... just in cases. :P
BACK AGAIN - Mini - sorry about your brother sweetie - hope he continues to live strong and overcome his cancer.
-
hi everyone, welcome becnavi,i think our paths crossed in the clomid thread ,would be well over a year ago now, sorry to read your journey has been filled with more heartbreak...minivini-the clomid didn't shorten my cycles much at all,but i think that was due to my age...hugs to all..afm-bfn this morning,i'm 8dp a 5d transfer.Still holding out hope as i'm not bleeding, still got a few symptoms, hoping maybe late implantation???blood test due on Thursday
-
Temp down today no pos opk...
I somehow think that this is an anovulatory cycle :(

MM - hope it is just too early & the BT's tell a different story on Thurs - good luck sweets!
Melzi - hope your wrong - I was never great at reading charts so not much help......
Bexnxavi - welcome sweets - hope your future includes a BFP & a stucky bubba soon!!
Shan - yay for the witch finally leaving the building. Hoping you don't see her for a long time!!
minivini2b - I think clomid did shorten my cycles - I was always a steady 7 days but the clomid seemed to make it a more intense 4 days. GL x
Hi to Dory, phebee (yay on the puppy - nice distraction) & anyone else I've missed.
Hope I am ok to still post in here for a while as I am always keen to read up on everyones news.
xxxx

Mummytotwo- I was right. Not ovulating... I didn't last cycle either.
My lumpectomy is scheduled for next week!
Chatted to my new gp/obgyn today and she said that I will be able to ttc straight after the op. Feeling pretty positive (she told me that they take the lump out as well as a little surrounding tissues therefore limiting the need for radiation therapy!) and it's a day theatre so I will be home the next day. (I'm on the list for the arvo so they'll keep me overnight and I suck coming out of g/anesthetics!
In regards to ttc, they have figured out I'm defo not ovulating. So next cycle I start clomid... And ultrasounds and blood tests that go with it. Things are starting to look up. Although I am quite nervous.
Hey to everyone else, sorry I haven't been on much I've had lots on my mind. Hope everyone is well x

Thanks for the welcome ladies! Hi Dory & Matthews Mum, we have crossed paths before, and it's nice to know someone already!
Melzi- Clomid is not too bad, as Matthews Mum said. I had some bad sfx the first round and then just GRUMPY! Good luck with everything.
Dory- I hope you are o'ing! How exciting! GL for round 1.
Minivini- I found my clomid cycles were always shorter and not as heavy. It has to do with your lining or some such. It might be worth mentioning to your Dr?
Matthews Mum- I haven't read back far, but I'm assuming your IVFing? GL with your BT.
I'm still learning everyone's names and journeys, so HI everyone else!
AFM: I'm off to my FS on Wednesday to see what our next step is. Becasue of the ectopic I now only have one tube, although apparently one tube can still pick up from both ovaries (weird!), so I might still be able to do Ovulation Induction for 2 or 3 more rounds before IVF. We'll see what she says, as she doesn't know about the hetrotopic twin yet so that might change everything!
GL to everyone coming to the end of their cycles. for BFP's all round
Bec

Hi everyone! It's difficult to remember what everyone said when you're on your iPod, but welcome to becnxavi! Thinking of & praying for you with your op melzi. Hi to everyone else! Hope were all BDing & catching eggies :)
I think we missed it this time :( normally I O on CD 12 but FF says it was CD 10 & we didn't get a chance to DTD until CD 11. Not holding out any hopes at this stage anyway!

MM - good luck with your BT's thursday - i got a few bfn's for HB's pregnancy before a bfp..... hoping it was just too early? Great that you're getting some symptoms..... FX
Bec - GL with your appointment too. People do achieve a pregnancy with only one tube! You can too.
Melzi - why the change in screen name? Took me a while to work it out.... thought there was someone else with your avy and sig..... GL for next week..
AFM - think I led you and myself on a wild goose chase... temps down, and Cm not right really and did an internal and good god is the cervix really that close to the entrance? Blah for unrealistic expectations.
baby dust to everyone else....
-
hi everyone,i had bt a day early as yesterday started bleeding, not sure what my next step is going to be yet.Thank you all so much for your kind words & thoughts.
-
well i had 2 days off and now AF here again :( just to make matters worse DH is being a **** :(
-
hi everyone
MM - did you get the result back from the BT? FX it is just some spotting for you?
Phebee - hopefully FF was a little off and you still were able to catch O!
Bcnxavi - how did your doc appt go today? hope she had good news for you!
melzi/lysndan - hope you are doing okay and feeling positive, that is great news that hopefully it wont hold up your TTC plans too much!
AFM - finished the clomid yesterday so now just waiting to see when I O. i was on clomid day 2-6 so when should i start doing OPKs? and should we start BDing now? Hubby is away on friday night till sunday mornign so hoping to BD before he leaves friday and then sunday when he gets back. hopefully we dont O on saturday but if we do im hoping we can still catch the :egg: that way.
-
shan85 - that is horrible news that AF has shown again! was that supposed to happen? wat has your doctor said about it coming again? its only been a couple of days!
-
Shan - did you still go to your u/s? Sorry that AF is joining you again....
Mini - can't help but hopefully you O and catch that egg.
Mathew's Mum - oh sweetie, I am sorry about the bleeding... hope the bt's show some nice hcg for you. Hugs.
-
Hi Girls,
I have been reading but not posting as I don't really have much to say :( I had a blood test to check if I was ovulating and of course I wasn't, so looks like I won't get pregnant anytime soon, so I'll still read but until I start clomid again (prob about 3 months time) I'll prob not post much!
Babydust to all of you :)
-
Hi ladies!
Matthews Mum: Sorry to hear about the bleeding. Did you get the BT results yet? Fingers crossed hcg is good.
Shan- darn AF! I hope she knicks off soon for you
mini- It depends on your cycle as to where you need to opk. My first clomid cycle I started opking at CD10, and then I ovulated at CD21! But at least I knew. My FS says to DTD every 2nd night from CD10 anyway. HTH
erybery- sorry to hear you aren't o'ing. I know how you feel, I don't o without clomid at all. Rest up untill you start clomid.
HI everyone else!
AFM: My FS appointment went well yesterday and she said we're cleared to start whenever we're ready. I have decided to induce a period tomrrow (seems good to begin on the 1st of the month!) and see what happens. DH is being very supportive so far, but we'll see how he goes once I start injecting myself with high levels of hormones and being CRAZY!!! It's nice to have to option to start, but I have enjoyed being off the TTC rollercoaster for awhile. So here we go again!
Stay well everyone,
Bec
-
becnxai that is great news you have been given the go ahead! i hope your TTC journey is a quick one!
normally my cycles are about 39 days in length so wouldnt O till about day 24/25 but hoping the clomid will help this! so i have bought about 50 OPKs on ebay lol and will start testing from tmrw i think. we are going to DTD every second night to make sure we dont miss it, but i would like to know when and if i do ovulate - it will just make me more prepared for if an when a period will be due. i foudn that the most annoying thing about my cycles the waiting around for AF to appear and not knowing when it was actually due!
fx it works and i ill be looking at testing easter weekend - which would be a great easter present!
hope everyone else is doing okay!
-
Hey Girls,
Sorry to hear things aren't going as well as they could for some of you - MM & Shan - hugs to you both!!
Welcome to the newbies - hope things start looking up for you on your ttc journey.
Not a lot to say tonight other than looks like I might be joining you ladies again soon as things aren't going quite to plan for me :( - will know more after the docs tomorrow.
Anyway, babydust to all & catch up with you ladies later x
-
Mathew's Mum - thinking of you....
BecnXavi - that's awesome news from the FS..... and yay for starting on the first of the month... hope you don't get too crazy.
Mummytotwo - GL with your appointment tomorrow...
Ery - thanks for the update.... sorry you didn't O.
No news here.
-
hi everyone,bt came back negative ,which was no surprise,i've got an appointment with fs next week to discuss another stim cycle, still questioning what to do?
-
D&C for me Monday & then some pretty extensive testing over the next 6 wks or so.
Gotta get to the bottom of this - can't do m/c no. 5 - not going there!!
MM - sorry about the -ve BT. It gets tough making the decisions about now huh - we just want something that works!!
Hi to evryone else - I will still be popping in here even though ttc is temporarily on hold.
Good luck to all xxxx
-
looks like a D&C might b the option for me too as still bleeding :(
love and hugs to all
-
MummytoTwo - thinking of you on Monday..... never a nice process but necessary sometimes.... GL with the testing too.... it is emotionally draining, but as you've said can't do another one.... hugs...
Shan - you too - sorry you're still bleeding.....how are your energy levels going? You'd be pretty worn out and fatigued.
Mathew's Mum - I am so sorry the BT was neg..... I say if you're up for another stim cycle, then do it.
Not much to report here. Just thinking of us all.
-
Posted also in the LT TTC Taking Clomid/metformin section too... So I apologize for any double up posts...
Ladies, due to everything that is currently going on with the lumpectomy and my health, and also the pressures of my business and my photography diploma, hubby and I have decided that we may not be ready for drugs such as clomid or other fertility drugs or intervention.
I think we are going to just have sexy time when we feel like it and if we get lucky then we get lucky. So NTNP as such. I will not be temping. as much as it's going to be hard to 'let go and let it happen' I think it's the best thing for us to do.
I may still go for the cd 21 bloods to occasionally check my progesterone levels, and make sure everything is in tip top condition. But this TTC is honestly doing our heads in.
There's lots more to focus on then me having a baby in my belly (as much as that's what I've longed for... For so long) it's just not practical to stress myself out like I'm doing.
I'll pop in from time to time but I'll be pretty quiet.
Here begins our not trying not preventing (as such) method of TTC.
I hope you all get your very very sticky babies very soon x
Love LysnDan xx

hi all ,mummytotwo-i'm sorry, thinking of you...shan-thinking of you as well...lysndan-best wishes with the new approach...
-
mummytotwo - hugs for today blossom.... go gently.
-
Hi everyone
lysndan - im sorry youve had to put your TTC plans on hold but i definately think your health needs to be the most important thing right now! and who knows what will happen once the pressure is off!
mummytotwo - i hope everything went well with the procedure although not a fun thing to have to go through.
Shan85 - hope yours went as well as it can too and that it will get everything back to normal for you.
dory - any news on your front?
Matthewsmum - have you and your hubby had a chance to think about what you want to do?
AFM i am still doing OPKs and BD'ing every second night. Havent detected a LH surge yet but im only on day 13 so im still hopeful that the Clomid will work and i will O soon? but on the other hand have not noticed much change in my CM since AF finished still minimal and watery in texture so not sure what that means?
* just noticed some Creamy CM now.. so hopefully things are changing and O might be on its way!!
-
Hi Ladies,
Thanks for the thoughts for yesterday. Everything seemed to go ok so waiting now for some testing to start.
Will catch up on proper persies later but babydust to all - & hugs to those who need them (Shan, MM that I can recall.....)
xxxx
-
Mini - that change in CM sounds promising..... hope you O and catch that eggie.
mummytotwo - hugs.
Shan - when is your op? Has af left yet?
AFM - am hoping like crazy that my obsession with chocolate and mood swings and headaches mean something on the ttc front.... LOL.
-
MM - so sorry to hear about your bfn, :crossfingers: that a stim cycle will be your magic bullet this time.
Mummytotwo - I hope your op went ok today, take care of yourself, try to get plenty of rest  I hope all your tests go well and they can either get you some answers or tell you something!!
Shan - hoping that you're getting sorted out soon you poor thing.
Dory - I hope your obsessions mean something too! lol, it's so easy to overanalyse isn't it.
Lysndan - I hope your results from the lumpectomy were ok and your relaxation works for your body healing and taking its time. Take care of yourself.
I drop in here often to check out how everyone's travelling, and I hope I get to see some bfps in here soon - sticky ones for some beautiful earth side babies :)
-
Hi everyone.. not much update for me.. no more CM changes today but still hoping that the eggy will come in the next few days.
dory - when are you due to test again?
mummytotwo - when do you start your tests and have follow up with your doc?
not much to say just wanted to come in and have a quick hello..
-
Hi Ladies,
I was wondering if it would be ok that I joined your thread? I am bubbaT, 34 and DF is 37. We had been TTC for 10 cycles when we finally got a BFP in mid March. Unfortunately our LO grew his angel wings at 5weeks 4 days on the 29th of last month. After all the follow up appointments and speaking with my GP we have decided to TTC again straight away. Some of you may have posted to my question yesterday or the day before about bleeding. Anyway after crazy night yesterday my body seems to have said enough everything is done now so here goes nothing for the month. DF can't wait til I give him the go ahead on the BDing front lol. After almost a month of nothing due to spotting/mc he is feeling very deprived (in a good way) lol.
I must say I was touched to hear all your stories and am sorry that any of you have to use this thread.
Mummytotwo - you were in my BB group, I am so sorry to see you here. I hope you are holding up ok.
On other points - we are getting married in just over 3 weeks so I getting very excited for that. All the final preparations. I just hope I can hold it altogether during the speaches as that is when we were going to announce the PG. Every minute of everyday can vary at the moment to how I feel. One minute I can be my normal cheery self and then I may read something or see something that will make me tear up. But in general we are both doing ok.
Anyway enough babbling from me
BubbaT xx
-
hi bubbaT!
congrats on the upcoming wedding! i hope the last few weeks go smoothly for you!
I remember the first few weeks after our missed miscarriage and most days i was fine and then sometimes when i was driving home (i think cuz i was alone with just my thoughts!) i would get quite upset about it. I found it a bit hard around the 6 week mark cuz i still have not had AF show up and i was just frustrated and wanted to get back to TTC. Thankfully AF showed up on day 42 i think so now i am waiting (somewhat) patiently for O!
with regards to the bleeding i cant really offer any advice we had to have a D&C so not sure how a natural miscarriage would go?
AFM - have done an OPK today and still negative. still just a small amount of creamy CM but not much at all really.. a little worried that this means clomid hasnt worked but still have :crossfingers: that is just a little delayed. Even if it doesnt work i will still try to catch eggy on my regular but long 39-42 day cycles.
baby dust to those on TWW and positive vibes for those coming up to O!
-
Hi ladies, sorry havent been on lately, just had a busy few days. Well AF left for a total of 24 hours, ran out of my primalot N and ITS BACK again :( Called gyno and he said to keep up with the meds and call him in a week. Im sick of pills and just want it to go NOW for atleast a month!! Im keeping libra in bloody buisness!!
Doc doesnt want me to have a D&C yet for some unknown reason.
Thanks for all of your thoughts for me :)
-
Hi ladies!
Sorry I haven't posted for a while, I've been reading and keeping up with your journeys, but I've been super busy!
minivini- Clomid can do funny things to your CM so don't count on that as a sign. I know lots of girls in the clomid thread who got absolutely nothing in the way of CM. Unfortunately one of those annoying side effects! GL with catching that little egg!
bubbat- sorry to hear your TTC journey has been a bit rough so far. The wedding will be super exciting! As for the bleeding- I've had 3 m/c at around 5 weeks and all were like super heavy periods, with shocking cramps, but all the bleeding stopped in 5-7 days. If bleeding continues, my GP recommended BT and ultrasound to make sure the m/c was complete, but I never had to go that far for those m/c's. HTH
dory- ooo, cravings could be a good sign. I know my super choc craving is out of control around o'ing! GL
mummytotwo- I'm glad the op went ok, as awful as it is. The testing can be super stressful can't it? Wishing they would find out why, but not really wanting them to find anything bad...it's a fine line to walk. hung in there
Shan- sorry to hear AF won't knick off! I wonder why Dr wont do a D&C, seems odd after so much bleeding? I hope it's really gone for good soon,
Hi everyone else, I hope you are all in a good place within yourself, and heading towards successful cycles!
AFM: I am awaiting AF, due to arrive tomorrow after taking primolut to induce a new cycle. Then just waiting to start injections again and looking to o over Easter. Could be interesting managing any time to DTD considering we're sharing a tent with our 4 year old in our annual camping trip! At least it's a big tent with separate bedrooms, but I'm hoping I o when we get home! I still madly trying to lose more weight. I managed 12 kg before I fell pg at Xmas time, and have now put 4 back on, so I'm trying to get it all off, and then a few more to ensure a healthy pg when and if I manage to get UTD again!
That's it from me, I off to do the grocery shopping!! Woo Hoo!
Have a good one,
Bec

Thanks for the welcome ladies, just wanted to wish you all a pleasant evening xx
