megsmum--:crossfingers: for a successful IUI!! Good luck with your :2ww:
joey--I'm holding my breath in anticipation to see who's going to be the first July BFP!! Wouldn't it just be the best if all three of you got BFP's tomorrow??
tutmae-- I'm glad you said "Oh, wise person", at first I thought you said "Old wise person"! I think maybe it's just low still due to AF... but then again I've been confused with my temps so far, thinking that mine were a little too low--sorry, not much help there! Will look forward to seeing both our temps tomorrow--hopefully they'll both be a bit higher!
-
Ok, my day has been pretty crappola today! :( I had morning insomnia really bad this morning from about 3.30am. Then when my alarm went off I was so messed up that I actually forgot to take my temperature for the first time in forever! I didn't really expect my temp to do much today anyway, but I hate to see a blank spot on my chart. I might even add an average temperature to the chart after tomorrows temp.
Soooo, then I get to work today and I nearly lost an eye!!! Someone brought in some kind of huge water bird (injured) in a dodgy broken box. I didn't even open the box and suddenly this huge spear-like beak came out and stabbed my face. The bad pierce is about 1.5cm below my eye, and they other smaller one is about 1mm(!!!!!) below my eye. It's just bordering on my eyelid (the part you put your eyeliner on). If it had been slightly higher it would have gone in my eyeball. Or if it had stabbed slightly harder it would have gone through my lid into the eyeball. It's still got me a bit shaky! I had to wash out the wounds and anti-germ them and I had ice on there for ages, but it's still pretty swollen and I'm starting to get a black eye.
Just to top it off, I'm meant to be going out to dinner tonight, AND I have to work tomorrow too. :(
Oh, and if anyone cares about the bird (I don't much anymore), it has a severely broken wing and it might be going to a wildlife carer to get specialist treatment somewhere else. If not it'll get put to sleep. *sigh* I guess I still do care though because I hope it can get fixed.
Bring on my BFP so I can forget about the BooBoos!
Tutmae - I'm really glad you got such good results from your blood test! I'm so happy that you don't have pcos. It must be such a load off your mind.
For as long as I can remember I have always produced a small amount of something from my breast. I assume it's colostrum... It doesn't leak, but if I squeeze around my nipple I can actually get it to squirt. Is that weird? It's been one of those TMI questions that I've always been to embarassed to ask!
So sad about you bird though. Usually I would feel more compassion for birds, but after nearly losing my eye to a bird today I'm slightly lacking in the compassion department. But I'm very sad for you though.
Smilanatu - Big BOOOOOOOOOOO for af showing up!!! Didn't she realise we are all meant to be moving into a belly buddy group together?!
Jen - Here's hoping for a nice high temp tomorrow!!! For both of us! I wonder how far in advance I would have to start booking flights and stuff...
Where are we all going camping this weekend? It's getting a little stuffy with all of us in here! Can you at least crack open an air hole for us?
Tina - OMG it's so good your temp is still way up there today! Mine usually dips from 13DPO if I'm not pregnant, so I think that is a great sign for you!!!
If Sat is a competition then I better use one of my expensive brand tests to make sure I'm in with a chance! :D
Plc - Hope you are doing ok sweetness! 14 weeks tomorrow! You are bubs are doing fantastic. I'm so happy for you. Big hugs to try to cheer you up!
Angel Babies - Good to see your (non)addiction forced you to lock your office door for a quick post!
Megsmum - For the sake of both you and your DH's sanity, I really hope that this is the month for you!!!
Joey - Your better get your peeing shoes on, because it's game on!
-
Jen: Well I asked my dear mother if my temp was too low and she seemed to think it was fine. So I'll take that as a good thing. Maybe it just means we feel the cold more than other people? Gee, I wish I didn't fail biology.
KL: Geez!! You're trying to help and almost lose an eye!! Stupid bird! As for dinner, black eyes are tough. MAybe you can get a free desert out of it! I always get helped out a lot when my tendonitis flares up and I'm limping all over the place. I say milk it, honey!!
Speaking of milk, the docs initially thought I may have had a benign tumor on my pituitary gland, but no. I think you produce LOTS and LOTS of milk if you have a tumour. Now they just have no idea and said "Well, if it doesn't bother you don't worry about it". So I'm going to pass on those words to you, I wouldn't worry about it!
Hope your day gets better hon!!

Hi Guys
I know I got a HB, but I had a BT this morning and my levels are continuing to look bad. Estrogen and Progesterone dropping (despite progesterone pessaries). I read est anbd prog are mean't to go up as the preg progressesl HCG nowhere near doubling in 3 days.
Can anyone comment on the figures below and tell me if it's over? I can't reach my OB, FS or GP.
Day 38 HCG 3361, Prog 102.7 Estrogen 1621
Day 43 HCG: 7510, Prog 115.3 Estrogen 1268
Day 46 HCG: 9647, Prog 88.9 Estrogen 1071
Is it over?
-
Tutmae - Thanks for the advice! I'll see if it's worth a free stickydate pudding ;)
WTH - Try not to expect the worst honey! Hcg levels can differ from woman to woman and from pregnancy to pregnancy. I think the further you get along the slower it increases as well. I'm sorry that I can't tell you anything about prog and estrogen though because I'm not sure what they are meant to do. I really hope one of your doctors calls you back real soon though! I'd be wanting some answers too. My thoughts are with you sweetie!
-
KrystieLove - thanks for writing back so quickly. This is similar to my last :( I just don't think my body can make babies anymore!
-
WTH: I was told that the levels start to rise slower as the pregnancy gets further along too. I know it's hard, but try to stay positive for your own sake and for you little one. It will all be fine!
-
Tutmae. You are right. They do slow down - to a doubling rate of every 3 or even 4 days at this point after 6000. Unfortunately this rate is 8 days. But thank you for being positive. I'm finding it really hard to be ATM
KrystieLove - see OB on Monday avo. Noone to speak to until then.
-
WTH - Monday arvo!!! That's not good enough for a worrying mother! I think you should keep calling your ob, GP and FS every 10 minutes and asking to speak to them. Sooner or later someone's got to put you through to someone you can talk to. Maybe even start calling random Obs offices and asking them if they can help and explain that you can't get in touch with your doctors are you are worried. What about the nurse helpline? I hope I'm allowed to put the number here... 1300 606 024. They might be able to help you too
-
KrystieLove - ringing that number. It's engaged for now. You are a saint
The OB's appointment is one that I booked weeks back. He is OS ATM. My FS knocks off early on Fridays and GP is on school hols.
I wonder if I should adopt or pay a surrogate. I just want a sibling for my beautiful DD.
-
WTH - dont give up n lose hope just yet... things are likely to b ok n i dont think ur baby makin days r over!! :)
keep positiv :D
-
WTH - Huge  I don't really know enough to comment on your blood results, unfortunately my experience is in a different section of pathology :( I dearly hope you are wrong though. My understanding (and I did a fair bit of reading after my last mc) is that there is a 90% chance everything will be alright after a heartbeat is seen - they are good odds! I hope you get through the weekend OK and the ob visit goes well on Monday.
KL - Crikey! Sounds like a very large bird. I hope your eye is OK, I think that ice is about all you can do for a black eye. I had one once (I walked into a wall at home  I know, I know, I should have turned the light on when I got up in the middle of the night. DH was so worried that people would think he was slapping me around!) and it took a while to go away. I hope that the bird is OK too - I must admit I am a bit of a bird lover.
Jen - Thanks! We are really hoping that this is the one.
tutmae - Oh I know what you mean about stray birds. I was driving home from work one day a few years ago now and found a ****atiel at the side of the road. She was about to cross it - yikes! Anyway, I rescued her and we had her for a little while before she died - nothing related to the rescuing :( It was really quite sad, I am a real softie for animals of any kind, especially birds.
Joey - I do remember that show LOL My sister and I used to love it! If I'm not mistaken too, John Travolta used to be in it?? Gosh talk about making me feel old!!
Cheers for now everyone, hope you all have a lovely weekend :)
-
Thanks MegsMum and teenttc.
KrystieLove - I got through. The nurse was kind and did her best to help me, but was a bit bamboozled. It really is a question for an ob. I will have to wait it out until Mon. Early night for me tonight...
-
hello ladies! sorry i've been so slack!
:hello::welcome: to newbies! sorry for your losses & hope your stay here is short...
WTH:  that it'll be ok! stay strong darling!
Krystie: oh no about your eye! hope you get better soon!!!
Megsmum: i love birds too... unfortunately i havent much luck keeping them.. some flew away during a windy day while i was at work... my ****atiel got killed by one of the dogs cos he figured how to open the door.. i loved that one he was so cute.. & then my quaker got stolen i think... just disappeared while i was overseas... *sniff*
Joey: havent done much bding as you can see from my chart! well we officially started on wednesday & are going to do it every 2nd day - so sunday next, and then again monday & tuesday as i think that's when i'll o. my cp's getting higher & some cm too. im just looking out for the pain & cramps as well to confirm it all...
all in all im more patient this month.. before i felt desperate so thats not good.. im sorta thinking do i want kids at all now! hehe.. but whatever happens happens..
-
WTH - Hang in honey, try to have positive thoughts, hard as it can be, we've all got everything crossed for you (at least those of us that aren't O'ing this weekend) maybe you can talk to your OB first thing monday morning. Whilst every you have no cramps or bleeding its good signs.
Krystie - you poor thing, hope your eye isn't too bad.
AFM - I'm all alone for the weekend - just me, the cats and the dogs, ----the boys (DH and DS1 and DS2) have all gone camping again for the weekend, they may be back sunday or monday, yet to find out. I'm doing my first aid certificate again tomorrow (have to do this every 3 years), so not sure what else i'll get up to all by myself. I feel a little bit of retail therapy coming up. Maybe with nobody else in the house I may even stay up on saturday night and join all the night owls. Won't be tonight as I need my brains to work tomorrow.
Jen - hope you are having a lovely holiday, without the slide this time, ;)
Joey - i'd love to join you in the "p" off tomorrow but think i'll wait this one out. Not sure when i'm due, i thought this weekend, but with ff changing dates, could be late next week, don't want to deal with a BFN by myself. (even though i know you guys are here)
For those in the "p" off :goodluck2::goodluck::pink-babydust::bluedust: everyone needs to check in before 8.30am or I will be in suspense all day (course goes until 3pm). I won't be able to concentrate. LOL

Hi ladies - quick scan update from me....
Scan went very well - bub had a lovely strong :heartbeat: of 179 bpm, and was also measuring pretty much spot on for dates. Cried a few tears of happiness of course, and this scan place was amazing - they were very considerate of my mental state!!
6 days until ob visit (my milestone) - she'll do a scan then as well.
I'm going to head over to the paml thread and dip my toe in ... but will still be keeping a close eye on the goings on here. Will definitely be tuning in tomorrow morning to read about all of the bfp's!!!
Thank you for all of your well wishes - there just aren't enough words to express the level of gratitude I have for your support and kindness. Stay positive lovelies :)
-
Tutmae - Bring on tomorrow!!! Not long to go now. How devestated am I going to be if the stick doesn't work!
Hope your show goes well tonight. GL! Do you have any U Tube (or similar) videos of your band performing?
How did you change the title of your chart in your signature?
Jen - 3BFP's? That would be the best!
KL - Sorry to hear your day has been bad. Tomorrow will be fantastic, cause you'll be celebrating BFP's with Tina and I!!
Peeing shoes are ready and waiting by the side of the bed!!
I normally wake about 5am each morning (can't seem to hold that pee in until a normal waking hour), so I'll be starting early. ... Probably won't be on BB at 5am though ... then again, DH will still be asleep ... but I'd have to tell him before you girls ... sorry.
WTH - Sorry your results aren't what you hoped for  Also sorry that I can't comment on them, cause I really have no idea. I really hope it's just a little hiccup and everything works out fine. Take care, hun. We're all here for you :grouphug:
Vanaithi - good on you for being so relaxed. I'll continue to stalk your chart, and I hope to see a BFP out of you soon.
MollyCat - Lucky you. I really hope you have a nice relaxing weekend. OK - I'll set my alarm to check in before 8.30am. I'm hoping I'll have POSITIVE news for you!!
Jenushka - So happy to hear your news!!
AFM - NOTHING new, still waiting. Although I did have a few little pains in my right BB today!! Yeah for sore BB's!!
