Trying to Conceive after Miscarriage or Loss ~ May 08 #2

Krystie - they were great :) Had a big singalong and just wished I had a glass of wine or 3, or 4 ;) But I have a good feeling about this month, so I'm determined to do everything 'right'. Did the groceries this evening and Blackmores now have a 'trimester supply' of their pregnancy and breastfeeding supplement, so Dh picked one up and put it in the trolley. Very unlike him..he must really be feeling ready for fatherhood. I told him 'I like your optimism!' So yeah..feeling positive!

Abbey - yes, I get that feeling too! In fact I'm feeling it right now! Here's hoping it's accurate female intuition :)

Mel - Any signs out of the ordinary are good signs as far as I'm concerned. Particularly feelings in the abdomen. Fingers crossed.

Jenushka - I'm glad to hear youchanged the flights. I was worried you'd end up regertting it if you didn't, and missed your fertile period. And thanks for that info on St John's Wort, it's good to know, and I'm glad that you know one way or another for sure now.

Issy - thanks for the direction towards maca powder..if this cycle isn't a successful one, I'll probably look into it.

I chickened out and didn't buy the hpt's today because I knew if I bought them I would use one tonight and if it's BFN I would kick myself for being so impatient. Will wait and if temp still up tomorrow then will buy one and test tomorrow or Sun. I am just worried that by taking b6 this month it's increased my LP by more than expected. Have been deliberately staying back at work for an hour or two each night this week so by the time I get home eat, walk the dogs & shower it's time for bed and no time to think about ttc.

Canary--Ok you're first on the list because you'll be awake before the Aussie gals. So..... did you POAS? Between you and AJC you're both going to give me a heart attack! The suspense is killing me! I'm praying so hard that we hear some great news today!!!

issy--I have been feeling particularly naughty this week, but DF is loving it! The movies haven't stopped, so while DF has always been a BD freak, he's even more obliging during these times. I've heard he even thinks about it at work! :redface: Hope you have a great weekend!


Vanaithi--Sorry to hear about your BFN's. Praying for you that your cycle gets back on track! Stay away from the bellybutton and I think you might be just fine! :lol:


Where there's hope--I, too, obsessed over what went wrong, what did I do?, what could I have done differently.... TTC really took the focus off the self-blame and the endless questions. I decided I had to take it easy on myself and just focus on TTC rather than continue playing the blame game. Even if there had been something that I could've done to change it, it's too late now so there's no point in dwelling on what might have been. I can change what I do now to try to prevent any future problems, but even that's no guarantee. You're in my prayers, hun! Please go easy on yourself right now, and remember to give yourself time to get past this dark time! :hug:


Acria--Sorry to hear about your BFN! Didn't I read somewhere that you're O this weekend?

jenushka--I'm so glad to hear you changed your flight! Hope your dedication is rewarded with a BFP!! 5 times in 1 day is pretty out of character for us, but more along the lines of what DF dreams about! :rofl: It was so sweet, too, because I wasn't even going to tell DF that I was fertile and will be O, and he actually asked! He took a look at my charts and everything! He even tried last night for a second go-around, asking if I needed more spermies! Now that's dedication! :lol: Good luck with the movies--toys come in rather handy, too! (naughty me!)


KrystieLove--So sweet to hear of your DSS calling you mom! I met my DSD's when they were 3 and 6, so they've actually been calling me mom for something like 6 years. But it was their decision, something they wanted to do. It caused a lot of drama with their mother for a while, but she's over it now. Not long after my m/c we got custody of my younger DSD (11 yrs.), but the older one still lives in Vegas, so we don't see her as often. I think sometimes it's harder to be a step-mom than a mom! Have you found that to be the case? Hope things are well with you, hun!

Extension Update - the roof is on - yay - it did rain yesterday morning while they were putting it up, and as soon as they finished the sun came out (murphys law), the other side wall is on except for a few boards at the very top, which they'll finish on tuesday before ripping out the old back wall. I've got so much stored in the new room at the moment it's going to take ages to empty it back out on Monday - (all the stuff out of my old laundry) I love walking around in it and mentally placing furniture. Oops not suppossed to have real furniture out there yet.

Jen - I love your little maths problem (maybe we should print them out and hang above our beds) DH spent last night away for work but will be back this afternoon. Glad your DF is being so helpful - I think mine wants this as much as I do but we're not quite as active as you two, he's just so tired at the moment he leaves for work before daylight and often it's dark before he gets home again, has tea and falls into bed.

mollycat--I just lost the post I was writing to you. Grrrrrrrr... :computer: Guess I'll try this again. Congrats on the completion of the roof! Of course the sun would come out after they were finished! I thought stuff like that only happened to me, cool, now I don't feel so bad! Tell your DH he's not allowed to be tired this weekend--he's got some work to do! I'm telling you, if you put on a movie it will wake him up QUICK! :rofl: I sound like a spokesperson for the adult film industry! :rofl:

Well still haven't poas - too scared. Temp still up - was the highest it's been so far this month so it's sounding good but I'm still worried that the b6 is giving me some whacky long LP and that I'm not pg.

So glad I have to work this morn to keep my mind off things.

Could the b6 have extended my LP this much? Anyone experienced in that area? I was taking 50mg with my blackmores conceive well gold then took another 100mg each day from the start of this month. I read that you can take up to 200mg safely. Oh the agony!!!

Jen - actually we got a catalogue for "movies" the other day in the mail. DH took it off and had a look as I had kids in care, maybe I should put a couple under his pillow LOL.
