Jen - Yes, definitely the nicest possible type of squish!! ;) I could probably ask my DH's "doctor" (I'm holding out on calling him a real doctor until he can proe he didn't buy his license on the internet...) to order the hcg bt for me, but after all the trouble last time I might just be patient. So tempted jsut to do a hpt though and I'm only 9dpo! Obsessed much? Lol
I want summer break!!!
smilanatu - I'm glad your weekend was good! What did you get up to?
SaraJane - My ob told me to wait for 2 cycles, lol. I hope he doesn't get cranky if it turns out I'm pregnant. I'll get tell him that DH and I were getting into bed and slipped and "it" just fell in!!!
How good will it be when they come out with an "instant pregnancy test" that psychically knows that you have conceived and that it will be a sticky bubba?!
pcl - I read somewhere that many of the chinese gender charts are slightly out due to some change in the calender system or something. Apparently there are versions of the charts that compensate for the change, so maybe check what type of chart you are using. I'm pretty sure I googled that info once... Not sure if it works anyway, but a lot of people swear by it.
In fact, once I finish posting I might go have another look for it and see what I would be having if it turns out I'm preggers. We're taking supplements to encourage a girl, so fingers crossed all the charts agree! :stork-girl:
Vanaithi - I sometimes check my saliva at work on the microscope, and when it works I'm amazed at how pretty it looks. I read that you shouldn't eat anything for a few hours before you do the test though because it changes the salt levels or something. I never really used the saliva test to work out when I was ovulating though, I just did it a couple of times when I knew I was ovulating to see what it looks like :)
I'm so glad that your DH called to see if you were ok. At least he was thinking about you and felt bad. Congrats on bd'ing, lol!
Apparently with an inverted uterus it can also change the position of your cervix too. I've heard that doctors can sometimes have trouble finding it in there too. I don't think I have that problem though because I can always feel it. It just always feels pretty similar to me :wall:
AJC - 9 sleeps!!! How very exciting!!!
Jodsan - :hello:
-
plc - I found the info! Apparently the reason the chinese charts you find on the net are inaccurate is because you have to use your "lunar age", not just your normal age but the sites don't tell you that, or how to work it out.
I found a site that has a link to a page that you put in your birthday and the babies conception date, and then it works out your lunar age and predicts the gender. Google "thelaboroflove" and the the link is in the middle in the pregnancy section and is called "Chinese Gender Prediction Chart". Am I allowed to write that here? I hope so, don't want to get smacked...
I did it for me to see what the gender would be if we've been lucky enough to conceive, and apparently "It's a girl! (Chinese Age 30 at Lunar month 4)". Should I be upset that my lunar age makes me older?! Lol!!!

Hi all you lovely supportive ladies. I am sorry I have not been around the last few days ? we have been changing over internet/phone suppliers and things have been on hold.
Jodsan ? we do sound similar. Thanks for the tips about Estrogen dominance. I did speak to my FS about it (my vent about the appointment is below), and he seemed to brush my questions off. But ? I do reckon that?s it. Can I ask, is it giving you spotting outside of your normal period? I have spotted very lightly today on Day 8, 3 days after finishing my AF. Fortunately, I am already doing most of the things on your list. DH and I are vegetarians. I have recently switched to Organic free range eggs because I eat an egg a day and have read the others are packed with the hormones you were speaking of. I don?t drink coffee either, and have managed to get down to one black tea a day (with 1 or 2 green or white teas a day). I fail in the exercise area. I am fairly trim, but know I could use some more cardio. When are your exams? You must be busy studying with a 2 year old! Good to read about lunar cycles ? I have printed mine off. Seems to be past the forecasted ?O? this month, so maybe DH and I will do some extened BD?ing
Jenushka ? in my last pregnancy I conceived on the third cycle. It was the only month I used PreSeed. My DH is certain the PreSeed helped, especially as we have read CM is less hospitable (not just less in volume ) as we get older. I will never know if it helped or hindered the pregnancy. You will see in my ?vent? below what my FS had to say about it? And a belated congrats on the +OPK
Jen ? I noticed you were asking Jenushka about applying PreSeed? I just want you to know that that stuff is FUN!. There is too much in the applicator, so we are not going to use it all this time. But (TMI) it does not all just need to be inserted. DH also likes it applied on to you know where. Great forplay. How embarrassing. I just know he is really looking forward to our getting back in the saddle this month.
SaraJane ? congrats on the house. Looks like a lot of positive energy is coming your way
Issy ? Agree with you on the whole OPK?s. Test line for me gets darker and darker, but never quite matches the control. Can?t find a brand I like either! BTW ? I love those PJ-wearing lazy rainy days!
Acria ? Sorry about AF. I had everything crossed for you. Even though we were not supposed to try last month, we did succumb one night near ?O? and I was positive I had symptoms. I know you must be feeling very disappointed
BettyBoop ? sorry about your chart. I know what you mean about seeing other babies. Some days I go out and it seems to be raining gorgeous newborns. It is like they are all out on one big playdate. It is hard. But you have your AF ? you are a FERTILE woman :)
Mollycat ? enjoy your new haircut. After my recent MC one of the first things I did was go shorter and really light blonde. I had pretty bad regrowth prior because I don?t colour my hair in the first trimester. I hope it has made you feel sweet.
Megsmum ? congratulations on your decision. and good luck with your new way forward.
Krystielove ? good luck with the OB appointment on Friday.
AFM ? Saw my FS yesterday. Day 7 of first TTC cycle (after having two periods). Armed with an A4 page of questions inspired by reading from our Flowerchild, I got no answers. I still do not understand how my chromosomally normal baby with a perfect heartbeat got taken from us before 10 weeks. ?There must be something wrong with my machinery,? I insisted. So he has offered to perform a barrage of tests which were all the ones I was hoping for (including the Factor V Leiden one Flowerchild has spoken of). He suspects they will come back fine. Maybe I am overeacting, but I don't want to go through another MC. I would like to go into the next pregnancy knowing everything is in good working order. I will also be having an ultrasound next month related to some cramping I am having throughout my cycle. But the FS did say a few things which got my goat up. For one, I was accused of doing too much reading. It is not the first time I have been told this. Secondly, I asked him what he thought of PreSeed (which I believe helped us with our last conception). The FS said it is very expensive and I might as well be using Olive Oil! None the less ? I have two boxes waiting in my ensuite and fully intend to enjoy them. Thirdly, I had a question for him about my high BBT?s. I had printed off some lovely pages of charts. He handed them back to me and said he thought BBT-ing was a waste of time! AGGGGGH! I will not bore you all with the full conversation, but I did feel a little deflated. I had been looking forward to the appointment and having a good conversation about what we have been through and what the best way forward is, but mostly got non-commital monosyllabic one-word answers. :wall:OK ? have fully vented now!
This is a very long entry. Hope I have not bored you all!

krystielove: the saliva thing also say that you shouldnt test if you've been pregnant in the past 3 months, so i guess thats why the results dont work for me! but yeah it does look cool! amazing that saliva can look so pretty! just curious, what supplements are you taking to have a girl? and what if you want a boy? i want a boy while my dh wants a girl! :) also on the chinese lunar calendar, it puts you a year older because it counts your age from the time you're in the belly too! just if you were wondering why...
-
where there's hope: one word: MEN! especially the scientific, specialist ones who think they're smarter than everyone! he doesnt know what he's talking about there. just do what you think is right! i hate it when you go in to ask for help & they make you feel belittled. maybe you should see a female fs??? bit more sympathetic i'd think...
-
Vanaithi - oops. Just noticed you had been asking about Preseed. I have written a few comments to Jenushka and Jen in my last long-winded post if you are interested...
Yep. you got it. I have lost two babies and his website says one of his interests is miscarriage. Just like my OB's website. Yet neither has shown any real sympathy or tenderness. Or given me any understanding as to why it has happened. Guess they see it all the time in their job.
-
where there's hope: yeah hopefully the preseed comes tomorrow so dh & i can try it out tomorrow night!
it's like nurses i guess... they go through so much with their type of work... so it desensitises them...but still... it would make life much better for all of us if they realise that although they've dealt with many similar cases, each individual is different, so a little sympathy won't hurt. especially MEN! they just don't have feelings sometimes...
anyways, im off for today! have a great night! :)
-
Vanaithi - I WAS wondering why lunar ages were more! Thank you!
I've been taking magnesium and calcium supplements to try to encourage a girl. If you are after a boy you can take sodium and potassium. It's called "sex selection by ionic equilibrium" and while I can't find a study that proves it in humans, I found a great study in a scientific journal that studied it in rats, and I figure that everything is tested on rats before people so it's probably a pretty good study. I have the study bookmarked, so if you want the link you can pm me. I also found a webpage about a study that is apparently published in a journal (I just can't find the exact journal article), about a study of 7810 pregnant patients that used the ionic method of sex selection, and they found it 97% effective for conceiving a boy, and 95% effective for a girl.
It all has to do with the polarity of the pellucid membrane around your egg. A male and female sperm have different polarities. Your diet (or supplements ) can change the polarity of the membrane so that it attracts or repels only the male or female sperm. I have that link if you want it too :)
DH and I are trying to attract the girly spermies because he already has two boys :D Hopefully it works, but if we get a boy I'll love him just as much!

Hi ladies,
I didn't stay away for long! LOL
WTH - I know how you feel, my ob was exactly the same. At the time I was quite shattered and felt like I had been brushed off, but now that I can think about it with a bit less emotion, I can see (sort of) why they are like that. It is pretty easy for them to just say it is bad luck and more than likely won't happen again - they base this on statistics. But I really do think that if having extra tests done make you feel more reassured about your next pg, what is the harm in doing them? It's no skin off their nose surely. If you want the extra tests done, stick to your guns! When we started to see our FS about my irregular cycles, one of the first things he did was extra recurrent m/c testing. I could have kissed him LOL when he said "The last thing you want is another miscarriage". Anyway he says the same about BBT as your FS - he thinks it is a waste of time too. I don't really agree but after 18 months of TTC I am pretty much over temping LOL so it was all I needed to hear to stop!! And with the tracking I am having done now there's not much point in temping anyway. Good luck!
Vanaithi - Good luck with the Preseed, hope it does the trick for you.
AJC - Really happy to hear you got some good HCG results :) All the best for your next scan! LOL at your dream.
SaraJane - Good luck, the waiting sucks doesn't it? After all our time TTC this second baby, I just feel like all I have done is wish away 2 week chunks of my life :(
Sorry for no more personals, but DD is going feral in the background here. She has had to stay home from preschool today because she has conjunctivitis - yuck! And its her birthday today too - poor love.
I just wanted to say thanks for all the well wishes, and I will definitely still be around :) I'm actually feeling pretty positive about my decision today too - I spoke to the FS today and he is really confident too, said that hopefully we will have a BFP within 3 cycles. And he thinks that 25mg of Clomid should do (half the dose I took last time), so hopefully the side effects shouldn't be as bad as last time. Anyway, I start taking it on CD4 (Thursday) so we'll see how we go. At least it is the long weekend this weekend too, so DH will be around for 3 days to help me cope with it if need be. I start with the cycle tracking next Wednesday, so here's hoping for some good BT results, and ovulation and IUI happening towards the end of next week! Will keep you posted how we go :crossfingers:

Waiting, Waiting.......
Hi Ladies
I am not sure I really belong here at the moment, but I just love reading your posts and am impressed at how supportive you are all of one another and attentive. I m/c our twins on the 5th May at 11 weeks, and am currently waiting for AF to return, but also have to wait until 20th August before we can start TTC again. This is because I had to have a Rubella booster and it is recommended that we wait three months before trying again. So I am a bit down about it, as we wanted to try as soon as possible, but that's now in August. Which just seems like ages away. So I hope I can get to know you all better and support you all in the TTC quest.
Sending you heaps of . :stickyvibesgirl: :stickyvibesgirl: :stickyvibesgirl: :stickyvibesgirl: :stickyvibesgirl: :stickyvibesgirl:

Hello lovely ladies,
Jenushka hope the tww is not driving you crazy and im sending you loads of gl hope you caught that eggie...and lol about being exhausted after o time, I hear you girlfriend ;) !
Bettyboop so sorry to hear you had a hard day last week...its very hard when we get to the edd of our angels, my angel from my first m/c would have been due the day my sister had her baby, it was hard but I fell in love with my nephew and all the sadness melted away when I held him. I hope you're feeling a little better, take of yourself. Also, good luck with the blood test, I hope it brings some good news :)
Jen - no probs with asking about temping, there are loads of women in here who know all you need to know about temping and we are all happy to shed light on the matter! LOL about your pj marathon, I love it! Nothing better than being a shlumpadinka (in Oprahs words) every now and then!
Mollycat the reno's sound exciting, my house is in desperate need of it, it's a 100 year old blue stone villa and is beautiful, but needs a lot of tlc IYKWIM. I have timber floors and they are lovely, but they also need a good sanding and polishing! I hope to renovate in the next few years, its just a matter of cash though isn't it? By the way hope you caught that eggie...;)
Pbstar - so glad to hear you are feeling a lot better. I know its easier to give advice than take it, as they say, easier said than done! I give out advice all the time, but rarely listen to myself  We will get there hun, our turn is just around the corner, I just know it!
Megsmum - sorry to hear about af arriving, nasty witch! GL with the clomid, I hope it brings you your bfp. Good on you for being so strong, it is a hard decision but feel confident that you have made the right one. I wish you loads of goodluck and babydust
Jodsan - gl with bding and catching little miss eggie
Krystielove - that sounds like a beautiful trip away and couldn't have come at a better time by the sounds of it (with the tww and all) im very jealous, would love a short trip with DH, work has been so crazy, a break would be perfect! Praying that those lovely high temps stay high for you :crossfingers:
Vanaithi - sorry your'e feeling down at the moment, hope you and DH managed to get some bding in, and try to relax and be kind to yourself
Sarajane - im definatley going to look into acupuncture, will try and start it next cycle if we have no success this month. that the temp dip was implantation for you hun
Plc - you are most very welcome, im glad your'e sticking around to chat to us, its so nice to hear of such great news, it gives us all hope! Hope you are doing well, resting lots and enjoying your pg.
Tina k - I have my fingers crossed for you, hope you get a nice surprise at the end of the month!
Leyza - Hello and welcome. Very sorry to hear of your losses, I wish none of us had to experience this, but you have certainly come to the right place for support and understanding. This group of women are amazing and I couldnt imagine going through this ttc journey without them. GL, and I hope your journey is a short one.
AFM - I am feeling ok, maybe beginning to fool myself into thinking that this is how I felt when I was pg last time, but im just to skeptical to entertain those thoughts too much. Will see how we go, but I don?t feel negative which is nice for a change.
Ok ladies, that's all I have time for today, but I will continue the personals to everyone else tomorrow - so to those not mentioned yet...a huge hello and hugs
Issy
-
Leyza - my heart goes out to you for your losses. I pray you find all the support you need in here to help you thru ur grief.
megsmum - glad ur back - we missed ya ;)
krystie love - thanks for the info - I'll check it out after this.....
WTH - bummer about the stupid FS - I'm not surprised about the reaction to the BBTs - my ob said the same thing but my ob seems to have a better bedside manner than the FS u visited (sigh!). Any faint chance you could seek another FS?
Hello to every other wonderful one of you - thinking about you always!!
me - just hanging around for next ob appt 17 jun and next scan 1 jul.
ETA: krystielove - my result is It's a girl! (Chinese Age 38 at Lunar month 3) - let's see if it's correct!! thanks again!
-
jen...:hello:
SaraJane...:crossfingers: Full of hope for you!!!
KrystieLove...Weekend was just wonderful...so relaxing...we really didn't do anything "special" just hung out with family and friends eating BBQ LOL
plc...mine is similar to yours...Chinese Age 38 at Lunar month 4...I guess I didn't realize we are the same age! How's that bump coming along? ;)
Okay ladies it's :bfp: time!!!
:pink-babydust: :bluedust:
:stickyvibesgirl: :stickyvibesboy:
-
Hey ladies.
Sorry I haven't posted in a few days, I've felt really down in the dumps since AF showed her face. She's been strange, so I did a test tonight just in case, but it was BFN, as deep down I knew it would be, oh dear.
I'm looking at fertility friend atm, which I've never bought a VIP for, but it's given me a few days free VIP and based on my signs it shows I may have missed ovulation by 4 days last cycle. Typical. So I've memorised the fertile days and predicted ovulation day for me for this cycle so when the free Vip days run out I'll remember the right days, lol.
I've got my fingers crossed for all those in TWW. Take care girls.
Lisa xx

plc-- The Chinese calendar predicted both my boys, this is the first time ever that I've had a girl prediction! Now I just need to get pregnant! Good luck with your girl!! :crossfingers:
Vanaithi--Good luck with the preseed! Just got shipping info on my preseed and thermometer, they went out yesterday, but they're coming through the postal service which could make it take a little longer to get here. AF still lingering, so I still have some time--I'm more anxious right now to begin temping since I won't use the preseed until right before O. Perhaps you can entice DH into some extra :bd: with a kinky movie--that always seems to get them in the mood! Go catch that egg, girl!
AJC--Please look for me in your dreams! lol... Hey, what's it now, eight sleeps to go? Where's that fast forward button?
KrystieLove--Magnesium and calcium for a girl, huh? I'll have to give it a try. I looked up the type of food you should avoid if you're trying for a girl, and realized why I have boys! There's no way I can stay away from pizza... and coffee... and even red licorice! Seems as though all the foods I enjoy are the ones I'm supposed to avoid if I want a girl! It figures! Good luck again with your appointment on Friday--screw being patient, you should get the hcg! As you can tell, patience is not my forte!
Where there's hope--Sorry you're feeling so deflated about your FS appt. Sounds like a typical man! I truly think that only women should deal with fertility issues. A man can think he's read all the books and know all the statistics, but he's lacking a uterus--so how can he even pretend to understand to know what's going on inside a woman's body? Especially when each woman is different! One more question on the preseed: if you don't use it all, and there's still some left in the applicator, can it be used again at a later time?
megsmum--Glad to see you're still around! Sorry to hear about DD's conjunctivitis-- and on her b-day even! Hope she still managed to have a great day! Praying the clomid brings you a BFP with no ill side effects!
Leyza--:welcome: to our thread! You're always welcome here, and you've definitely come to the right place for unconditional support and understanding! I'm so, so sorry to read of the loss of your twins! Praying for a quick AF for you to begin the healing process from the inside. I know you said you have to wait until Aug. to begin TTC, which gives us plenty of time to get to know each other! We'll help you through this time, I promise!
issy--I sure could use another shlumpadinka day! I've actually heard her use that word on tv--how funny! She's got her own vocabulary--right down to her vajay-jay! You sound like you're back to your optimistic self--glad you're feeling more positive!
Oh, I put the link to my chart in my sig, but obviously there's no temps to look at yet--I'll let you know when I take my first temp! Just being anxious, I guess!
-
hey where did my ticker go??? Be back soon for more personals...
-
Much better... I'm not sure how, but I lost my ticker! lol... but I found it again, so no worries!
Ok... :hello: smilanatu! We were, of course, posting at the same time!
Acria--Sorry you're feeling so down in the dumps, and about your BFN :( This TTC journey sure is a bumpy road... sending HUGE cyberhugs your way!
