Morning all,
Just popping in to say a very quick hello.
Hope that you are all well and that we see a few more BFP in the next couple of weeks.
Bel: I hope that your nan is much better and well on the road to a happy and healthy recovery. (it is my nanna's birthday tomorrow, she would have been 87 years old, however she passed away 15 years ago last week, man i miss her so much).
Jan: you are the best. How you doing hun. Thank you for replying to my journal. I am so happy that you are following this journey with me. I just pray everyday that I may be able to do the same with you in the very very near future. MIRACLES DO HAPPEN I KNOW !!!!! Love to you from me and a tickle from Treacle to A,Jan. xoxo
Big hellos and sprinkle of dust to everyone else......Have a great day.
-
Jayne it's a shame you live so far away i would have come down to see you.
Jan - I think your doing a great job looking after your Nan. It's horrible to think the rest of the family won't help.
Candi - Hope you see a nice BFP when you test this week.
Naomi - How are things going with you ??
Kirsty - Hope you are okay.

Good Morning Girls,
Well the results from my HPT the other day were correct, AF showed her mug this morning :crying: , so i have just gone online and ordered 100 opk's for next month, I knew when i took my temp and it had dropped to 36.4 i was in trouble and as soon as i got up there she was.
Although i am starting to wonder a bit as last month my luteal phase was only 12 days and this month it was only 11, does anybody know if that could be a problem? i thought it was supposed to be 14!!!!
Hope all of you are doing well, will pop back for personals later, i was just ordering my opk's and could not resist to pop in quickly!!
Bye for now!
-
Shell i am so sorry that AF arrived for you
Really hope the OPK's are able to help you.
-
Shell - I'm not sure about the luteal phase part. What have the OPK's been showing and what cycle length overall is it making you?? It is usually around 14 days but your ovulation day may have changed. I am having the same problem - cycles from 26-28 with O varying in day (makes the BD fest a challenge to arrange with shift work )
Having fun myself at the moment :p and yes Jayne - DH does like this part of the month (although he was tired last night but knew that was no excuse!!!)
Have a lovely day girls!!
-
Morning Girls,
Thankyou for all your warm welcomes, i really feel like part of the family already!
Im doing ok, AF is really heavy this motnh and giving me the ****s! I cant wait for her to go away so I can get on with things, I cant believe im excited about using OPK's for the first time! Im weird i know LOL
With the wasy Rick and I are atm we'll prob only end up holding off for one month!! Everytime there is a baby on t.v Rick reaches for my hand and gives it a squeeze or if we are in bed watching t.v he'll roll over and hug me asking if the dreaded AF is gone yet? and when i say no (as only been 3days today LOL) he's like oooo no baby yet then, hugs me and then rolls back over! Men - but I really love him for it.
There is so much to catch up on here
Jayne - That was my reason for putting a rainbow ticker up, i really want to know whats at the end of it! I've already looked at the end of one last month but i dont think it was a real rainbow! LOL. Congrats on the weight loss and hopefully you did o and the opk just didnt register it! Baby dust you way. Poor Jessica, hopefully she'll get used to it and make some friends out of it!
Jan - I know what you mean about your Nanna, mine is pretty similar, they worry so much about things they dont need to. My Nanna recently went in to get the bridges around her heart closed, they did this by burning them closed, to make the pacemaker work properly! the fist op they did, didnt work, they went up through one of her legs to the heart, the 2nd op they went through the other leg (she has 7kids and a million grandkids, so I only went to the 2nd one) when she came out of the op, we were trying to listen to what the Dr's were saying (my mum, my cousin and me) and my nanna just started screaming saying im going to die! apparently they only gave her a local for her leg, so when they passed her leg up to her heart she could feel it and they could smell herself burning when they closed off the bridges! Poor Nanna, in the end (i have only seen my nanna cry once before) I had to walk away and cry outside, i didnt want her seeing i was upset. But crikies the piercing screams she did! So now she is worried it hasnt worked and she'll have to go in for another op! So i know where you are coming from! But Nannas seem to be resiliant (sp??) and are that tuff, i need to get a few lessons from her!
A big :hello: to everyone else, as i have written a essay with 2 personals, i think i will have to learn to cut down so i can get everyone in LOL!

Shellstar,
I have the same problem, my LP phase is 12, 11 and has been 10. Did go to doc's and ob's as I thought there was a problem. I was using microscope and seemed to be ferning all over the place, even after ovulation, thought I had hormone problem. Ferning is suppose to detect estrogen, during the LP phase the dominant hormone is suppose to be prostegene. Had hormones checked and all is ok. I assume the ferning I picked up was most likely because we always have some estrogen levels at all times, which is why I don't like microscopes anymore, too unreliable. Ob's was quite happy with all of my charts and didn't suggest any medication. I think once it falls under 10 days, then there could be a problem, but he was not concerned at all.
I have been taking vitamin B6 for last couple of months. (read somwhere that this can help regulate cycle) This vitamin is needed for the production of prostglandins and is often used to relieve pms symptons and nausea during pregnancy. (I read this off the bottle) This month I ovulated day 14, normally I don't o until day 16, so I don't know whether the vitamin b6 is working? Anyway, I've still got a week till I'll test, if positive, maybe the vitamin b6 did its job? Like you, I have been concerned about LP dropping but stopped worry once I went to docs. If your concerned, maybe see a doctor. Maybe try the vitamin b6 this month.
goodluck

Hi girls
Sell, I am so sorry that AF came to visit!!
My LP is usually only 11 days and I don't have any problem conceiving. I know that vitex (after 3months of taking it) can aid in rectifying any LP problems.
Naomi, sorry that AF is being a cow! I hope it doesn't last too long. I like using OPK's I think it is because I am a POAS addict so opk's give me relief!! LOL
Michelle, I hope you catch the egg!! Have fun :D
And just when I thought my body was beginning to get back on track, I have had some spotting! I thought it was AF, but it isn't red enough and not a great deal is making it to my pad. It started yesterday with funny coloured CM, Today its rather thick and red/brown and almost grainy looking, so maybe there was a little bit left and my body is discharging it! Sorry that was way tmi!!
Anyway I hope you are all feeling well.
Tanya
-
Hey Thanks lilylou for you help, it always nice to hear that others are having similar experiences, goodluck when you test in a weeks time!!
Tanya, I can't remember if you had a d&c or not, but my first proper cycle after m/c, i had a similar spotting, AF had finished and then about 4 or 5 day i started to get a brownish reddish cm, so i went to the dr about it and she said its totally normal for you body to take a couple of months to get back to normal after m/c and it could actually be O causing the light spotting as your body is quiet tender after d&c, the next cycle i was back to normal.
Naomi, Im the same, i was excited about using opk's the first time, cause you know that its a something new that may help you get that longed for bubba!! goodluck using them!!
Michelle71, good on you having fun, it tends to become such a chore after a while!!!
Jayne, congrats on the weight loss, poor little jessica, hope she settles in the creche` for you, so you get lots of swimming in, have you O'd yet???
Jan, What a lovely grand daughter you are, I was the same with my Nanna until she passed away in 2001, It so nice to see you still popping in & out!!!
Candi, Im also a compulsive POAS, I think they may need to make a group up POAS ANONYMOUS!!!:cryinglaugh: I am going to try not to buy them, cos if there in the cupboard i will use them!!
Nola, Love the name you have choosen for little Treacle, very cute, I have been keeping my eye on your journal, its great to see the weeks fly by!! when do go for a scan??
Belinda, Hope AF removes herself quick, Hopefully Holly will start sleeping for you soon, I have never had much trouble with getting Hayleigh to sleep, she has always just been put into bed and she puts herself to sleep, so im sorry that i can't be more help. goodluck with it though!
Tamara, Any signs or symptoms you should be reporting to us????
Well as you all know, im on CD 1 and eager for it to end to start BD all over again, i don't think i will use the saliva microscope this time, it was pretty hopeless for me, gave me ferns when i was not O'ing and didn't give me any when i was, as i said early i have armed myself with 100 opk's so there's no way im gonna miss that sucker this time round!!!! hopefully i have enough pee to use them all!!! :p
Anyway off to put some washing away, YUK, a womens work is never done!!
-
Hello everyone,
Shell, I am so sorry AF turned up. to you. I will have everything crossed that this cycle brings you a BFP.
Jan, glad your nanna is doing better. I can totally understand her being anxious about the op etc.. How are you going??
Tanya, maybe it is your body going back to normal after the m/c or maybe it was implantation bleeding?!
Tamara, how are you going today?? Any sign of a BFP??
Jayne, sorry forgot to say last night, congrats on the weight loss matey.
Hello to everyone else. :bluedust:
-
Hello Lovely Ladies,
Shell - So sorry about AF coming your way. Good luck with peeing on 100 OPK's!!! LOL.
Kazz - Thanks for the encouragement, I need all I can get!!! Give your boys a little kiss from Aunty Jayne
Michelle - Here's my name for the day - Christopher. I'll give you a name every single day! LOL. Maybe one day we should meet somewhere. At a nice park or something so the kids can play. The weather is so dicey lately though. I hate putting clothes in the dryer and I have had clothes on the line for 6 days now trying to get dry. I'm going to have to buy one of those free-standing lines when DH gets home from work it's getting ridiculous!
Tanya - Is it possible that the spotting was implantation?
Naomi - Awwww, you & your man so sound cute! I can almost betcha that when you get a positive OPK you won't be able to help yourselves!!!!
Michelle71 - Oh yep, no excuses about DH being tired! I always say to my DH 'What's the matter with you, when we first met we would be in your bedroom all weekend and not come out for air, pick up your pace!!!'. Nasty I know, but true!!! They're like a fire cracker our boys, all bright and sparkly in the beginning but fizzle out just when you need them to stay bright! LOL.
FairyMum - Where abouts in WA are you at? I would have gone spare at my mum for saying that to you, how insensitive! I'm sure you noticed the bellies yourself without them being pointed out.
Bel - Sorry to hear Holly is being a madam. What's going on? Is she waking up all the time? I wish my body was playing tricks on me but I really think I am only ovulating every second month. Oh well, hopefully next month the stars are shining for me.
ME - Well, I think I've lost the plot. I have decided to clean my entire pantry this afternoon. I have the in-laws for dinner & then a Tupperware party & I decide to clean the pantry. I'm 3/4 of the way through, but enthusiasm is all but gone and replaced with thoughts of how stupid I was! LOL. DH should be home soon. He can help! I found so much stuff out of date. It's amazing what you find in the dark corners! I'm putting Jess in the creche again tomorrow morning while I swim, lets hope it has better results tomorrow.
Jayne
-
Jayne, I hope DH helps you finish cleaning the pantry. Nicholas says thank you Aunty Jayne for the kiss and sends one back to you and Declan sends you a big sloppy kiss too and a ga ga thank you. :)
-
Jayne hopefully one day we will get to meet. Meeting up half way sounds like a great idea at least DH won't kill me for doing that.
I have days the same as you when i just want to clean something then half way through had enough.
-
Thanks for the infor Girls, Can't be implantation, because I haven't O'd
Here's my chart
As for O spotting, wouldn't it be red? I dunno... I'll just wait it out. :(
Tanya
-
hi guys,
i have no idea about ff and charting or how to use an OPK or what on earth POAS is?? Gather it means testing early?? Holly has been a bugger again today.... just wont sleep during day, means over tired for night and screams when put down.... then wakes at stupid times in the morning... so really what i am saying is she doesnt like to sleep... :) fun huh.
I have one question to ask... what happens if your LP is quite long, for instance you O around maybe day 9- 10 etc and still have a 28 day cycle?? Would that cause a problem??
Forgot to congratulate you Jayne on your weight loss too, thats fantastic. Its so hard to get motivated (well i find it hard), so well done. No good with Af arriving Shell, hopefully she come and goes very fast so you can get on with it!! Naomi, you nanna sounds so tough... i hope the op worked for her.. Michelle, Nola how are you going? Keep sticking dust.:p Tanya, is ff acurate enough to say you havent O'd and that it wasnt implantation bleeding?? I am not really sure how it works??
well thats me, have a good night everyone, sorry for not too many PM tonight... just found out a friends mum has BC (going to call her)....
-
Belinda, POAS means peeing on a stick, ie: HPT. :) I hope Holly decides to sleep properly for you soon.
Tanya, it definitley doesn't look like you have Oed at all. Maybe it was just your body getting back to normal and it was some old blood from the m/c?! Sorry I am not much help.
-
Jayney - you are such a funny girl!! DH used to be the *firecracker* too but needs the encouragement these days - poor old love (NOT). That isn't to say he isn't VERY good at what he does - just the encouragement to do it!!!
Hope you all had a lovely day.
-
Hello girls!!! Thankyou for asking after me!! It made me feel so special.
No symptoms...nothing. Temp dip today not below the coverline but still not a good dip.
Two days to go until AF arrives!!
-
Well Af is here :crying:
Oh Well, I am a bit torn about whether to try this cycle.... I'll be due in March if I O and conceive, we already have my birthday and Violet's in March... AND I have been on theis 'boy' diet for 5 weeks now, and I am not sure I want to waste the effort I have gone to. I dunno!!
Tanya
-
Tamara praying that AF stays away.

Hi Everyone :hello:
Just popping in to say hi. I haven't forgotten any of you, and I often check this thread to see how you're all doing! Good luck to all the newbies just coming onboard!
Jayne ~ I've been reading about your holiday blues. I hope you are feeling better soon honey! How is little Jessica going? I read that you did heaps of shopping, and that Jessica was perfect on the flight! That's great! What's happening in your life now matey? I am fine, just cruising along. Nothing to report. I go for my 18wk scan on 17 June. My bf is coming along with me. DH has to work, so bf is very excited to see an u/s and she will have Chantelle on her lap. Should be interesting!!! lol. I don't want to know the baby's sex, so I'll have to remember to tell the sonographer and look away when s/he gets close to the neverland-regions!!!etc...lol.
On the PAML Nola left a small message saying that she hasn't had any more spotting, but has a hell-of-a headache. Her scan in booked for tomorrow morning, so I (like everyone else) will be glued to the BB site tomorrow!!!!
Sorry for no personals tonight, feeling a bit low after Nola's message. Hope you're all doing great and please remember "Miracles do happen"!!!
Beccy
-
:crossfingers: Nola thinking of you and hoping everything works out ok. Chances are it is just a minor hiccup and everything will be fine.
All the best:pray:

Nola - I am sending you all the positive thoughts in the world for a beautiful result in the U/S. There are no words that will make this time easier or go faster but know we are all thinking of you and sending our support.(((hugs)))
-
Hi All,
I had to come and check and see if any news has been posted about our gorgeous friend Nola. Wishing her all the love and best wishes in the whole wide world for tomorrow.
Beccy - I nearly fell off my chair when I read you're booked for your 18w scan. Where does the time go? I love the ticker that says 'Whispy'. Wow, you must have a nice belly forming and be getting some movements. You lucky girl. Makes me realise how long I've been in this forum. I met you as soon as I joined and now look at you! Yes, I have had the return-from-holiday-blues but the fog is clearing. Jessica is a true angel. She has me in fits of laughter. We're really on the same page. I see DH looking alongside us with a sad look in his eye & I feel like screaming at him, 'it's your fault you idiot, you don't put the time in to get the rewards out of her'. He says he might as well stay at work full time because Jess won't go near him, I haven't said to him because it will turn into a full screaming match, but I told him maybe he should take a long look at himself and try and put it all together. Being a man, he didn't understand! Typical. I'm soooooo with you about not finding out if it's a she or he Whispy. My sonographer asked me before she began so that there was none of the 'I can see what sex bubs is, would you like to know?' going to happen. I'm really glad, any future children I have, I won't find out the sex either. & oh yes, I shopped up a storm in Sydney. :p
Michelle - Here's my name for today - Annabella.
Special hugs to everybody tonight. It just goes to show how very close we become to everybody and it's wonderful in this world that we can muster lifelong friendships to people we've never met. Goodnight. Sweet dreams.
Jayne
-
Thanks Girls, I will post you all as soon as I know anything. My u/s is booked for 9am. I have fortunetly had no more bleeding but have had a slight PMT headache. Not sure if it is due to how tired I am or stress. Will keep you all posted. Thank you all for you love, support and prayers.
-
Still thinking of you Nola!! Good Luck today!
Lisa, thanks!!! You have just sealed the deal for me.... ttc this month ;)
AF overnight was the heaviest I can ever remember!! I had to get up fpr a shower at 6am (after Violet woke me), there was blood everywhere! So after DP gets up I will have to strip the bed! I put a towel down when I went back to bed and I leaked through again onto the towel!! I think if i keeps up I will have to see the Dr!!
Yesterday there were a few clots too... so I think I must have retained a very small amount from conception! Geeez, feels like this is never going to end!
Tanya
-
Oh Tanya, I hope it sorts itself out soon.
Nola, thinking of you and hoping and praying all is well.
-
Well Firstly I just wanted to say that with out a doubt the Power of Prayer does work
There have been so many of you who have prayed for my dh and i over night and after my scan this morning we are much relieved to say.....
Treacle is doing very well....Measuring 19.9mm spot on for 8wk 2 days. Also has a HB of 147bpm.
OB was great and said that he would still like to see me on Tuesday as scheduled.
Mummy is very pleased as you can well imagine.
Thank you everyone. xoxoxox
