Yep, am still lurking and am here to throw a tonne or two of :bluedust: over everyone and wish you all good luck. It's a damned fine idea to have a mass exodus of this thread and all head over to PAML. I'll come with you then, cos I still can't go over yet!!

Just got back from visiting the parents and the in-laws on a quick overnight trip. We didn't really want to go as it's a 4 hour drive each way. Took us 6 and a half hours to get back due to bloomin' traffic jams and road works so an early night is in order.

I am ok at the moment (not too stressy) adn we'll be 13 weeks pg tomorrow. Got midwife on Wednesday so hope to hear bubs heartbeat again.. then I really will feel ok. Completely identify with those feeling anxious as the days tick by and the weeks crawl along. Constant worry at the back of my mind, and a little prayer every time I visit the bathroom that all will be 'normal' Hey ho! Chin up and looking forward...:clap:

OKay...I am officially feeling discouraged...low backache...dull ache in pevis...*****y...emotional...all PMS symptoms. No more sore bbs...no more pink discharge...just plain ol' icky feelin' at this point...

Hello everyone. I'm new here and wanted to ask a question to those who have had an early miscarriage (5-6 weeks). How soon after the miscarriage did you have your first period?

It's been 3 weeks for me and the waiting is driving me crazy. My doctor told me it should take 2-4 weeks. To make matters worse, I've been nauseous for the past three days and extremely tired. I took a pregnancy test today which was negative. Has anyone else had symptoms like this as their body healed from the miscarriage?

Welcome GiiGii - sorry about your loss, but you've come to the right place, the girls here are really supportive and helped me through some of my worst days, you just feel like one of a very special family.
My loss was at 8 weeks, my first AF was exactly four weeks later, but for everyone it varies.
There is a thread that shows all the shorthand.
I hope your stay here is a very short one. Be gentle on yourself and give yourself and your body time to recover. :hug:

GiiGii--Welcome to BB... I'm so sorry for your loss :( My cycle started 25 days after my m/c (at 8wks.). Of course it's different for every woman, but 2-4 weeks sounds about the norm. I'm sure it will happen so, but I know exactly how frustrating it can be to wait for it to happen! I personally didn't experience any nausea, but it might be a good idea to call your dr. to make sure all is well. I was, however, extremely tired--but your body is completely out-of-whack right now, so that's to be expected. I hope you find the support that you need here! You're in my thoughts and prayers!

Well, now I really understand why they say dont test too soon. It was negative this morning, cant find a trace of anything. DH and I still agree yesterday's test was positive, I've kept it of course. So I guess it was a false positive? It's still early so I guess im still in with a chance. Very confused though, still feel pregnant! Does anyone know which brand of pharmacy sell First Response, I went to 4 yesterday and noone had them?

I will pop back a little later for some personals, DS is driving me nuts!

The prayers are very appreciated. As wait for AF to return, the last thing I need is to "feel" pregnant. I've been feeling weird for about a week. If it continues for another week, I will call my doctor. Thanks again.

Mollycat - Can you provide the link to the thread containing the shorthand? I couldn't find it. I will try to be gentle on myself. I have so many issues that are making this difficult. The first being my age. We had actually given up on TTC after I was told I couldn't last year. Thanks for taking the time to reply and lend your support.

jen805: my doc puts me on progesterone 3dpo, but he follows me closely with ultrasound and bloodwork to determine when that happens. If you go on progesterone before you ovulate, you could have implantation problems or not ovulate at all.

It's amazing that a dr. can leave you with so many unanswered questions, then you come along and, in just a few short words, answer all my questions! Hi ladies, I've really felt low today after yesterday's high. DH has been so good. I'll test again tomorrow to make sure but it should have at least been the same faint line this morning so it was ether a false pos or a chemical pregnancy. I feel like I'm getting PMS today too, very irritable and loads of AF cramping. Arggh, I guess I'll know for sure in the morning.

Gii Gii - Sorry I didn't welcome you yesterday :welcome: So sorry for your loss :hug: I had a mc at 5.5 weeks, the mc just ended up feeling like a heavy AF, then 29 days later my next AF came as usual. So in step with the other girls really. As far a how your feeling, my cycles have been bizarre since the mc, I seem to have developed severe PMS which causes nausea, swollen breasts, cramping (which has always been very subtle), moodswings, irritability - you name it! The first month was definatley the worse, I was all over the place. So from my experience, its perfectly normal, your body just needs time to adjust as it was getting ready for bubs and now it probably doesn't know what its doing. My Dr has prescribed me more sleep and more exercise to try to get my hormones back on track. Good luck, hope Af comes soon so you can feel normal again.

Jen- Hi Honey, your posts have really made me smile. I think that it is really lovely that you have remembered everyon'e names (I agree with plc- thanks for counting us up!) and your reason was so sincere. You have a great way of making everyone of us feel valued and supported, so thank you! :) I have access to a great medical website at work, so I will try to look up the progesterone thing on Monday. My dusty old text book is clueless! I think that perhaps your Dr doesnt know as much as he likes to make out, and it is possible that in between your 1st and 2nd appointments, he went away and read about progesterone, or asked a colleague, which is why he has left you with confusing info. I think that if he is going to b*ll*****, he should at least own up and tell you when he is not sure! Good luck for the TWW. xx

GiiGii- Hi, welcome also. I am sorry to hear about your m/c and I know that waiting for that first AF can be really hard. My 1st AF was just slightly longer than a normal period (about 35 days for me), and I did continue to have preg symptoms for quite a while after the mc. In fact, I still get mild nausea, which I never used to. It's really weird, cos now I feel slightly sick when I see something gros, or think about something unpleasant that I have seen before. (Like emptying a very smelly bin for example!) I think that the nausea is probably psychological now, though. I hope that you do not have to wait too long for AF. Good luck. xx

JMG- I totally understand why you havent told anyone yet, I'd be the same. You can tell us all thogh! :) Laura- Sorry to hear about your GF, I'm glad that his recovery was quite speedy.

mmteacher- I liked your poem about letting go, thank you for posting it. Sometimes it helps to stop trying so hard for the things we want to acheive and just let nature take it's course. Yes, there have been a few reports of AF being really heavy when it is the 1st one after mc (angel B said that AF was hving a 'spring clean!') . GL for starting clomid. xx

Betty- Sorry to hear about your FIL, you must have had a really stressful few weeks. sending HUGS. **

Pb star- Your poem was inspirational, thank you. It reminded me of the story of the little train chugging up the hill, saying to himself as he goes :
' I think I can...I think I can....I think I can...I think I can..' when things are getting tough, I say that to myself- just to keep going!

He was actually the dr. that was on call when my youngest DS was born--the nurses pretty much walked him through the birth! Hope you have a great weekend!

Yep, it sounds as though he was trying to 'wing it' during your consultation! Is he supervised by someone with more experience? Maybe you could ask to see that person instead. Anyway, I'll let you know if I can find out anything useful about progesterone when I get back to work.

I am so confused. I POAS with the Crystal Clear again this morning, at first a line came up but then it disintegrated away very quickly and only left one dot where the line was? Then, I had managed to get Discover Onestep when out yesterday so I tried it with second morning urine, again, at first a faint line turned up but disintegrated fairly quickly into one fairly dark dot (that's line shaped). Both dots are where the line should be. Has anyone had this b4, it's so bizarre?????

Jodsan--You poor thing! It's nerve-wracking enough when POAS, but WTF is up with your tests? Wish I could help you out on this, but I've got no experience with testing--mines this coming week! Good luck, everything's crossed for you!

Perhaps you could go to your gp and pee in a cup for them and see what happens, maybe ask for a BT just to make especially sure, and of course for your own sanity!!

Thanks so much girls, you are all so wonderful. Well I found First Response and did it at lunch time and it was definately negative, no strange dots. So at least I know now. I dont need FMU with First Response do I? Should I do another in the morning just to be sure? Kinda dont want to do anymore, I'm sick of it :wall:

Have a further question too, what is cervix supposed to be like before AF? Mine feels kinda soft and open, it feels really similar to O time. I have never noticed this before AF before, is it normal 4 days out from AF. I have also had some snot-like CM (sorry TMI). Is this normal before AF? I have tried googling and cant find my answers.

Jodsan, :hug:. I have tried googling the same thing and from what I found the cervix can actually be a different positions at different times of the day so they recommend if you use CP to predict O or whatever to check at the same time of day.

I used first response last time I fell pg at 12 dpo in the middle of the afternoon and got BFP. Everyone's bodies are different though but I have had success not using first morn urine. Maybe wait until Tue or Wed to test again. It still could be too early - you never know. :hug: I won't say sorry about BFN yet because until af arrives..... :bluedust::pink-babydust:

Jodsan--When is AF due? (Stay away witch!) Maybe it's still a little too early to tell with a HPT. Can you ask your dr. for a BT? I wish that I could help you with the cervix question, but lol... I've tried to figure out how my cervix feels, and it always feels the same--so I don't even know if it's my cervix that I'm feeling! Open, closed, soft, hard, I can't tell the difference! All I do know is that I feel so anxious for you to find out--going to chew all my nails off! Good luck & baby dust galore coming your way!

I find myself waiting all day for everyone is Australia to wake up, since there's a 17 hour time difference! My DF's Nana lives in Phoenix. We visited her a couple years ago and went to Rawhide, it was so much fun! Have you been there?

Hey girls, well another BFN this morning so pretty sure I'm not pregnant. I felt pregnant at 10dpo when I got the faint pos but I haven't for the past couple of days. I was going to go to the Dr to get bloods but have decided not to bc I suspect it was a chemical pg and it doesn't matter what the bloods say now. I'm positive AF is on the way, I've developed terrible PMS symptoms, feel so low and irritable. On top of that now I've got a sore throat and my sinuses really hurt so I've probably caught something off DS again.

With the cervix thing, I used to use a diaphram so got pretty good at feeling my cervix. I have been checking it twice daily, in the morning and the afternoon, it definately changes positions daily but I have never felt it open before except for O time. I am certain that I O'd 13 days ago so I cant have been Oing again. It feels more closed today, very strange!

DH and I are considering taking 3 months off TTC altogher, we just feel like it is getting too stressful and affecting our lives too much. It's been 6 months and my body might just be telling me its not ready yet. Guess I'll decide for sure over the next couple of days.

Jodsan-- :( I'm so sorry you got another BFN and that it's been such a terrible weekend! Maybe you're right to take a couple months off--you know it seems to happen much easier when you aren't really trying as much. But I know that's no consolation, so I'm truly sorry. Then again, maybe you just feel that way now b'cuz you're feeling so down and irritable. If I could, I would give AF a nice, swift kick in the a$$! Are you actually late yet, is there still just a chance that maybe it's a little too soon? Everything's crossed for you, hun!

AFM~I finished the Clomid and I am just waiting for O. I can definitely feel all the twinges in my ovaries that tell me that there are definitely eggs waiting to come out! I have had lots of hot flashes and some side cramps but that is all for side effects so far! I will start testing with the OPK's on Wednesday!:dance:
