TTC after Miscarriage or Loss ~ August 08

right - time to dip my toe in here!! everytime i think about jumping in, i look at all the posts since i last read and get too scared - you lot are very chatty!!!

we're about to visit the FS to discuss options to start another cycle - but after a pretty crummy few years, i'm scared of whether we will ever have true success.

so far, our story is pretty ick, so the cliff notes - five miscarriages (1 at 5 weeks, 1 at 9 weeks, the other three early chem pg's) - we're undergoing IUI and IVF depending on what is happening with our clinic - we live regional and the IVF clinic is only here every 8-12 weeks.

so, i'm jumping in to say hello - and will try to keep up!!

Jen - have a good sleep - talk to you tomorrow. Don't know how true that temp was. Thermometer was playing up (couldn't get it to work at first), maybe i've dropped it too many times (and I put my old one away - yesterday, figures), so had to turn light on and find out what was happening. Good thing I was in bed alone, didn't disturb DH.

I was abandoned again last night. He and his boss went to stay at his bosses house (confusing) as they were working near there today. (it's about an hours drive away - so they got to sleep in, instead of starting early today - or they did until I rang at 6.30 this morning). Have to hope that temp stays up and my thermometer isn't broken.

So, I'm not the only one having issues with my computer - I didn't think my last post went through, I've shut the computer down a couple of times as everything is so slow or just not working. Hopefully its all sorted now.


Briggsy's Girl - Welcome along to the fun fair (seems like that at times). I think we all need a shoulder to cry on and an ear for listening to us. As well as having fun with each other, we're all here to support each other. Sorry that you had to join us, and hopefully your stay isn't too long, (all of that was said in the nicest way)

BG: Hey hon. So sorry you had to join us (if you know what I mean! That always sounds wrong!). The girls here are so supportive and wonderful (and chatty, and loving of cake!). Hope that your stay with us is a short one and that your little one has a sibling really soon!

Jen: Sheesh. OK! I'll come to chat if I must. So demanding!! Heehee

AFM: Just got back from the doctors and she was as surprised as I was. She was going to send me of for a quantitative HCG test until we realised I had one just under 5 weeks ago that came up negative, so it looks like I'm 3w6d as of today!!!! I asked her if I needed to have my progesterone checked or anything and she looked at my tests from 2 weeks ago (when I would've been 2day pg) and they were at 32, which made her happy and she said she didn't see a need as they were so good to begin with! So I've booked in for my dating u/s for 2 1/2 weeks time (I'll be around 6w3d, so hopefully we may be able to see a strong little heartbeat!!). So very happy and excited!! YAY!!

mollycat- yeah i have the IP address thing happen all the time, so frustrating...is your provider TPG? BB have told me that they have heaps of trouble with them because of spamming...let me know if you have any response to your letter.

jen- thanks for your i really hope i get surprised too but i just have a feeling AF is on her way...having funny cramps and tweaks and twinges (is that a word?), plus BB's are really sore and burny which i think is an af sign for me. ah well, what will be will be. will be testing thurs morning because have to go back to my herbalist that day and don't want to spend hundreds on ttc herbs if i don't have to...

who is testing next? just have a feeling there are going to be a lot of BFP's coming up...

Rach, BF 7 BG- Welcome, I hope you both get the extra support you need in here. There is definitely some extra pressure on TTC when we are dealing with the emotions relating to a loss.

BG- You have been through so much. You are definitely an inspiration to us all.

AFM- I am so distracted at the moment. POAS is all I can think about. The phantom preg. symptoms are back (I've had these for the past two cycles). Funny taste in my mouth & slight nausea. and a new one: increased sex drive?? no soreness in the bbs (that was the one that gave me a true indication first time round- so unless they get tender, I'm not getting my hopes up)- o.k. - Who am I kidding? There is always a slight hope until AF shows up!!!
