Sweetpetite-- my doc said to call if AF hadn't shown by 6 weeks post m/c. I think it took almost exactly that. Have you had the beta blood tests? It can take quite a while to get back down to zero.
Sweetpetite, It took just over 8 weeks for AF to come back for me and I was able to stop worrying when I actually got a positive OPK just after 6 weeks. I don't think it's abnormal to wait 8 weeks. If I hadn't have had a positive OPK, I think I would have gone backk to see my GP to get some assistance to get AF happening. I was told that a D&C pretty well clears everything away, so there's no gradual dropping of hCG like there is for a natural m/c. HTH. :)
Littlescottishboy, sorry that AF turned up *hugs*. BTW, I love that picture of your little boy, he looks so cute and cheeky!
Wowser, I recommend LC too. Bummer about getting sent OPKs instead of HPTs. Although some people say they get positives on their OPKs when they're pregnant. I tested that theory out when I was pg and yep, a very convincing positive on the OPK I used.
CONGRATULATIONS on your BFP, Dawnee!! Hope some of us can follow you to PAML! Sending you lots and lots of :stickyvibesboy::stickyvibesgirl:
Hugs LizJessie for having to hold off a little while. Maybe focus on getting yourself as healthy and pregnancy ready as possible! Or enjoy spicing up the romance factor in the interim.
Beaksie, definitely sounds fertile! Go get 'em. BD, BD, BD!!! :p
Not much to report my end. Thought I was in for an early O but my temps aren't reflecting that so don't think so. I'm also taking antihistamines for really bad hayfever (allergic conjunctivitus in my left eye, itchy legs and generally feeling blah) and it's recommended that you shouldn't take antihistamines if pg or trying to get pg. So trying to get on top of the allergies at the moment before O time.
Happy first day of spring, everyone!!
Hi everyone
just a question i have been told that i am unable to temp as i am a shift worker and the best way to tell when O is by CM, just wondering if there is much truth to this??
Hope you are all having a good weekend and wishing you all:bfp: really soon
Hi everyone. Thanks for replying. It's the most frustrating thing trying to figure out when your Oing or not, and even when youre pretty sure youve got it right, there are no guarrantees! Driving myself batty. Had made a pact with self not to get too mental over this, but hmmm, I think Im straying to the dark side of obsession. It's just so b-----y irritating, as Im sure you all know.
Leila- the whole cm thing does seems to be one of the most accurate ways to know when you O, as well as feeling for the position of your cervix. Generally (correct me if Im wrong), at O time, it should be positioned higher up so its harder to reach with your finger, and the OS (hole to uterus) should be open enough to get the tip of a finger inside. Sorry if its TMI, but it seems theres nothing sacred on this site
Starrysky - hi chick. Sorry I missed you AGAIN (lol)
Satya- How are those symptoms going? No offence, but I hope youre chucking your guts up right now! Here's hoping :crossfingers:
Everyone else,I hope your keeping saner than me, and goodluck!!!:) Just a quick edit. Satya I just read in the tww that youve been trying since you were 28. I wanted to tell you that I think you're amazing!!!!! You're one of the strongest people I sort of know (lol), and I hope with all my heart you get a nice sticky BFP really soon. Fingers and toes crossed for you, your not out of the game until AF arrives, and hopefully she's on holidays....
sweetpetite - it took me 7 and a half weeks to get AF back after my m/c - and I was told it was completely normal, so I'd say between 4 and 6 weeks is ok
kbowman - Yeah, I'm thinking I might start getting myself healthier than I am now to help with the future - I mean, we're probably not going to be going into our own place for about 5 or 6 months, so I suppose I can wait.. When I actually got together with DF I didn't want kids because of my previous relationship (We were together for over 3 years and were trying for 2 of the three years and never fell pg), and he didn't want kids till he was at least 28-30... Everything has changed when I found out I was pg, and then I m/ced... Ever since that, I've wanted to have a child, and he, I think, is the same, but he wants to know where he's working next year.. I dunno, I'm trying not to think and understand the male mind! Hahahaha!
Leila - I think there is some info on charting when doing shiftwork on fertility friend if I am not mistaken...
LizJessie - sorry to hear about DF wanting to hold off :(
Kbowman - I hope that your hayfever settles down soon - not much fun, I used to get bad attacks of it when I was a kid, luckily it has more or less disappeared now..
Treelo - how is the chickenpox patient?
LSB - sorry to hear August wasn't your month :(
Beaksie - the EWCM sounds very promising!! Hope you'll catch the egg!:)
Sweetpetite - I would check with your ob if he has any thoughts on what's happening. It must be very frustrating and I hope that AF shows up asap
Hi to Starrysky and everyone else I have missed - enjoy your weekend!
There is not much going on here - I am almost over my cold/flu thing now, just can't get rid of this awful cough that comes with it... Of course all this happened right at O time, so I don't know what to think about having caught the egg this month. I did have a fever for a couple of days... There is always something to worry about - it's driving me nuts!!:wall:
So, I am going out to a party tonight and having a drink:lol:
hello everyone,
noone ever seems to be around when im on here! :wall:
i hope everyone is good, i am trying to feel good, trying not to slip into the depths of depression. feel like i am going to burst into tears all the time.....
i have absolutley no motivation to get anything happening in my life atm, even though i know that ultimately doing something will help me regain an optimistic outlook again.
sorry about that, its the way i feel and i need to say it someone, anyone or i will bottle it all up and explode..........
anyway, satya, hope to hear from you soon, i hope all is going well?
beaksie, you are so right, nothing is sacred, lj no luck yet?
hi leila, cm is supposed to be a good indicator, as far as i know,
kbowman- so glad winter is over, thankgod spring is here!
everyone else sorry i missed you........xxx
hi penny have a great night!!
Penny - Thanks - I'm a bit bummed, but if he's not ready, then I'm not going to push
Hi everyone,
Sadly I got a BFN today, was really secretly hoping for good news on father's day but maybe next month will be our month. I switched methods back to "advanced" on FF rather than "research" and it shifted my O date 3 days later so I'm just waiting for AF to show up now.
Hope everyone's weekend is nice :) Yay for spring.
Sorry you got a BFN, Kiwigirl. *Hugs* If you're only 12 DPO according to FF advanced, then hopefully it was just that you were too early to test. Praying AF stays away for you!!!!
LizJessie, we could go mad trying to work out the male mind. Lol.
Penny, hope you enjoyed your party! My DP has had an irritating dry cough for a couple of weeks now and his GP told him on Saturday that it was bronchitis. Keep an eye on that cough! Hayfever seems to be sticking around for me, alas.
Yes, glad it's spring as well, Starrysky. I think that there's not so many people posting in here at the moment because they are posting in Two Week Wait Support thread instead for some reason. But the mods mustn't mind as that thread is up to about 200 posts now. IKWYM about having a lack of motivation to do anything. I'm finding it harder and harder to get out of bed lately!
Hope everyone else is having a good weekend. And that we each have a new bub in our arms next Father's Day. :)
kbowman - That is exactly right! Hence the reason I'm happy to wait
kiwigirl - sorry bout your bfn!
Hi girls,
looks like I am out for this month - AF is on the way, I just started spotting...
I am a bit surprised because it's early - another 25 day cycle. That's the second one after the D&C. Has anybody else had the same? Pre d&c my cycles have always been 27/28 days. I am now worried about the length of my luteal phase... Should I try Vitex for this cycle? If yes, where do you get it and what is it?
Any thoughts would be appreciated...
Sorry for the selfish post - back with more personals tomorrow!
Hugs for you, Penny. My first cycle after D&C was over eight weeks long, the second was 25 days and the third was 28 days. Trying Vitex will probably help. You can get it from the Blackmore's range of supplements at most chemists. I bought a couple of bottles and I've begun taking Vitex this cycle.
TMI warning. I'm now on my sixth day of getting ewcm. Seeing it mostly in the afternoon/evenings the past couple of days and there's a lot of it. Hoping to have another Date Night with DP this week. we catch the egg this time!
Quick post ladies. My temp went really low yesterday morning so I'm thinking AF is on her way but still no brown spotting like I usually get. I didn't get a chance to temp this morning as we stayed at my mum's overnight and it wasn't planned so didn't have my thermometer with me. I guess it could be a implantation dip like I had last cycle - 3 day dip last cycle so who knows. My BBs feel a little sensitive today. Had a little pink spotting after BD last night but nothing since.
We lost my aunt to her battle with cancer yesterday morning. It's been a really difficult weekend.
Satya, sorry to hear about your aunt. I lost my uncle last year and I still struggle somedays to believe he's not still earthbound. I often dream of him too. Big hugs to you and your family.
Hi to all,
I have finally started spotting! Its now been 5 weeks since m/c & d&c. Two days ago I had pink tinges (apologies for tmi) and today its been more promising but still not full af. I'm really pleased if this is the real thing so everything gets back on track again. This waiting for AF has really been p***ing me off. Other promising symptoms have been back ache, short temper, headache and slight bloating.
I hope you all had a fantastic weekend and get on the :bfp: bandwagon soon.
Curl
Curl, that's so great that your cycle is getting back on track. It's a horrible wait. Particularly when coupled with PMS. Hope you're feeling better soon. And that AF arrives properly so you know for certain. Love and hugs.
Sorry about your aunt, Satya. Must have been very hard. *hugs*
