Firstly I'm sending you all :bluedust:!!!!
I thought I'd better join this TWW even though it's our first time trying since we lost our baby girl on Australia Day. Not getting my hopes too far up, but still a little bit hopeful.
Here's a newbie question for you- how many dpo can you poas? I'm a really impatient person, and can see myself buying all the tests in the chemist if I'm not careful!!

hi tutmae and welcome to the TWW- i so know what you mean about walking that fine line between being a little bit hopeful and a little bit guarded at the same time. in regards to your question, i think the most sensitive tests will show a BFP about 5 days before your period is due. being a POAS addict myself i usually test everyday from 5 days before until AF arrives...trying not to be like that this cycle though, i'm experimenting with trying to wait until AF is due...
Hi girls! I went away for the weekend to the land of no internet and came back to so many emails. Just trying to wade through it all...
I POAS tomorrow. But I'm fretting because my bb's arent sore enough, and I'm fretting because I've been cramping (although I cramped through every preg, including the successful ones), and I'm fretting just because I am.
But on the other hand, my temp remains high, and according to my temps I could have tested today. My neighbor really doesn't understand why I don't test at the earliest time possible. She says the suspence would be killing. But she's never been through mc, either.
Still no AF today and still no Pos result.. am i testing wrong? :(

Hey girls just thought id join in, this is my first shot at TTC so not getting my hopes up but will be testing on 12th april if AF doesnt show up on thurs/fri.
Its funny cuz now that im actually trying i am noticing every single pain that i have and trying to put it up against the pregnacy symptoms.........im trying very hard to put it all at the back of my mind and just let it happen.....
Anyways good luck girls, hopefully some of us are lucky and get a BFP!!!

As for me, this TTW is killing me...oh ok, not really I suppose...but it does feel much longer than the other ones :rolleyes:...im definatley OVER WAITING!!!!
I guess the good thing about the TTW is that you get to hold onto hope, and perhaps even a little confidence, that you may have got it this month. Its kind of nice to think of the possibilities...'maybe im pg???' :pray:
Anway, still have about a week before Ill know one way or another, im sure ive been waiting for much longer than that :wall: but no...still one week to go.

Hi TM - Sorry to hear about your BFN. Has AF arrived yet? I always hated it when I got a BFN and no AF, it plays tricks on your mind! I dont know what else to say but im sending you :goodluck::goodluck::goodluck: for next month.
Im trying really hard to concentrate on my work right now, so I dont think too much about the possibilities of being pg and read too much into signs that probably dont exsist....ohhhhh I cant help it, im just ridiculous!

Me, well AF still hasnt arrived yet and im 4 days late... I havent tested today though, but i think it will be a neg anyway.. :(
tempus- :hugs: thought it mustn't have been good news because i was looking for you yesterday- sorry to hear you had such a sad day. try to keep your chin up and know that it is going to happen for you, but as much as we all try we can't always plan when we are going to receive that gift.
abbey- hang in there- if i was you i would be testing first thing tomorrow morning if still no AF
hello everyone... thought i'd join in. i'm expecting AF within the next few days, as i know i ovu around 1 - 1 1/2 weeks ago. i have no feeling that AF is arriving. when i fell preggers in Jan, i also felt nothing .... AF just didn't arrive. it's all about the waiting game and nothing else!:doh:
pbstar, i would be but i ran out of HPT.. so will have to do it later.. Besides, doc told me that if i still didnt get AF after a week (which will be on monday) and still didnt get a BFP then to come in for more blood tests..
This is driving me bonkers.. If i am going to get AF, i wish it would just show up! at least then i would know!!! :(
ten DPO and tested this morning, :bfn: but keeping up my hopes, i'll try again in a few days. lurking a little, been reading your posts, lovely ladies, still sending :bluedust: to you all...

Im still waiting, AF should arrive in a few days, and im pretty sure it will. Oh well, at least im at the end of the wait now, it sure has been a log 2/3 weeks.

AFM i am feeling very nauseus, have very sore BB's, am feeling very moody...so i am either really close to AF or really close to a BFP...let's hope its the latter
i POAS tonight and after 3 mins saw a very very faint line....so faint you could only see in certain light and felt like it could just be my eyes playing tricks. I will try to get through tomorrow without testing and give it another go on Weds....
Im not feeling to confident either this month.....AF cramps last night and today so im sure they will pop up in the next couple od days :( Although im not fazed if it happens this month as i didnt want a december baby i still wanted a BFP. I just cant wait for a test to be positive instead of the usual reponse.......:rolleyes:

sorry but this is probably TMI
yesterday afternoon went to the loo and when i wiped saw the tiniest brown smudge. wiped again and same thing, so i thought oh ok AF is here. but then i kept going back to check every 20 mins or so and nothing....
again this morning, nothing, no AF
I POAS again this morn and still the second line is very very faint, maybe a micromicro tinge darker than the other day
this whole thing is doing my head in. am supposed to be going on a holiday this weekend (have to fly) and now am stressing about all this- what IF i was preg and went and something happened etc etc
any advice from you girls as to what could be going on with me?

Well im out for the month, temp drop (36.7) this morning which means AF is her on her way. Should arrive in a few hours. Bugger! Oh well, I did everything I could to catch it!!! ;)
pbstar - Oh i know how your feeling, this is what happened to me, but unfortunately it was when I had an early m/c. I had a very faint line, then spotting (dark and muddy, sorry if TMI), only once and then it went away for a whole day. Then another spot and away again. It was only after 3 days that I started bleeding properly and even on that day I still had a very faint bfp line.
I hope its not that. It could just be implantation, but if your due for AF or past its due date, its probably not, as this usually happens before AF arrives.
Ooops, I sent it before I finished....
Anyway, I really hope the spotting goes away and your bfp line gets stronger. Perhaps wait a few days before testing again, and see how you go. Ill be :pray: for you :). I didnt mean to be negative about it, just wanted to share my experience with faint bfp lines, especially very very faint ones, as for me, they have all ended in m/c :(. When I found out I was pg with my DS, it was sooo dark, at first i thought it was the control line and I only tested 4 days after AF was due.

thank you, didn't think you were being too negative at all...i have had a sinking feeling that this is like a chemical preg or something, a really really early loss. anyway i guess only time will tell and i am not too upset if that's what it is, i sort of feel like i just want to know either way.
you are right, i am just going to try to relax and not think about it for a couple of days, if still no AF will test again then. I am sure if i am preg i will find out eventually so there is no point testing testing testing and doing my head in.
sorry to hear AF might be on her way for you too, but i love your attitude, sounds like you are handling the disapointment as well as you can. Let's keep telling ourselves that every time AF comes we are another step closer to our healthy and happy pregnancies...:hug:
AF has arrived. i'm out of the running for this month...i had my heart set on a baby born in this chinese year, too. even if i catch next month it won't happen, and the next is probably the worst for DF and i...

I used to get down when AF arrived, but I had to learn to cope with it as it continues to happen month after month :wall:. I would have been miserable for nearly 3 years if I didn?t! Just got pick yourself up and try again; look?it?s got to happen sometime!!!!
You seem to have a really great attitude about things too. I think its best to; you work against yourself if you stress too much, better to just take things as they come. And you're right, every month passed is a month closer to our bfp's :D Maybe next month will be the month, lets hope we get our :bfp: soon :pray: (although, you may already have one...;))

oh issy, 3years? that makes me really pull my head in because i have only been trying for about a year so far (including when i got preg before the miscarriage). so if anyone has the right to be a sook about AF coming you do, and the fact that you aren't being a sook is very inspirational :)
you are definitely right though, no point getting worked up about it all because it just works against you. We try so hard but we really can't control when we are going to receive the gift of a BFP so until then we just have to be patient and enjoy our lives for what they are now.
so anyway, has the witch shown up for you this morn? still nothing for me...according to my last cycle she was due yesterday or today but who knows, maybe i am still not in a regular cycle. let me know how you go.

The good thing is I seem to be back into a normal cycle length again (32/33 days). After the m/c in jan, things went a bit out of whack for a while, so thats a positive!
3 years certainly sounds longer than really is, it goes by so fast. After I had my son in 02 I went on the pill which I stopped taking in oct 2005. I then didnt get AF until April 2006 which then turned into irregular cycles (had 3 af within a year). which means we were TTC conceive in that time, but I wasnt even ov so had no hope (didnt really think about that at the time :rolleyes:) Then in April 2007 I started clomid and I fell pg in May 2007, the first month I started ov again, but sadly ended in early m/c. After going on clomid 3 more times, nothing. Then in Oct 2007 I had exploratory surgery to check things out, they found I had scar tissue everywhere, 1 blocked tube and my uterus was stuck to my bladder, if I had of fallen pg, it could have killed me and the baby. I then fell pg in Dec 2007, 2 months after surgery, but sadly ended in jan m/c (uterine lining wasnt properly healed from surgery, embie couldnt implant). Now it has taken a few months to get my cycles back to normal after the m/c in jan.
So, after that long winded explanation, I have been TTC for 3 years but in those 3 years we have not had much opportunity for success. But the good news is, im now all healed, have perfect cycles and I ov, DH is all good too, so now its just a matter of waiting :rolleyes: I dont know how I would cope if I had been TTC for 3 years and nothing for no reason. I at least know why and really, I can probably say I have been (effectively) ttc for about 6 months (post surgery), because it took all that time before hand to sort my body out.
Anyway, im such a waffler....
I really hope :pray: you dont get AF and instead get some great news in a few days ;) let me know how you go. Ill be :pray: for you.

wow you certainly have been on quite a journey, big :hug: it sounds like finally your body must have settled down into a cycle so i really believe your BFP is only just around the corner now you have healed and all is good with your DH too. I will be :pray: for you!
sorry to hear AF is being painful for you today but i am glad she finally showed up- now she can hurry up and go away so you can get back to some serious TTC!
as for me i woke up today with serious nausea and it hasn't gone away. have thrown up twice this morning...also have really metallic taste in my mouth and am tired and sluggish...anyway i figured i must be preg. Did a test just then and the second line is definitely there but i would call it faint still. before i would say it was very very very faint and now i would just say faint. anyway i won't call it a BFP yet. am just cautious because i had that little bit of spotting the other day and don't want to get my hopes up.
just need to keep trying not to think about it!

Wow that is great news...but yeah I understand your caution, just take it easy and look after yourself. I have a good feeling about you though :pray:
I did actually have some bleeding when I fell pg with DS. It wasnt like the spotting I had with my m/c's though (that was more brownish; sorry-tmi?) it was more like watery and pink. I wasnt really concerned with it at all though and I still have no idea why it happened. I went on to have a healthy and happy pg. I had totally forgot that it happened until the other day when DH reminded me about it.
Anway ill be thinking of you and praying that you get stronger and stronger bfp lines. And although you probably dont enjoy vommiting, it is a good sign, so I hope you start to feel more and more pg....

issy thank you for your thoughts and prayers, it really does help. and seenabeena thanks for the congrats but i think it might be all over now...
last night after all the symptoms of yesterday i thought i really want to know for sure. i was supposed to be going away this weekend and wanted to know the result one way or another because if i am preg didn't want to risk the flight.
so i did the clearblue test that says preg or not preg and it came up with pregnant. so i showed it to DH and we cancelled our trip and we finally thought yes it is real. but this morning i woke up and am spotting again. this time heavier than before but not as heavy as a period. this time also more pinkish/brown whereas before just brown. so me thinks it is the start of an early loss.
i feel suprisingly ok. as i said before i sort of expected it to go this way.
just wondered if anyone can answer- should i bother calling doctor to get checked out or anything or is it best to just let it go it's own way?
PBstar - sorry to hear that :hugs: i hope you're ok... its awful when you get a BFP then bleeding and it's gone.... i just let mine happen naturally if its really early like that then your body will just do its thing.... :( sorry to hear

As for seeing a dr, you probably dont need to, your body sounds like its doing the right thing and it will pass naturally...sorry I dont want to sound insensitive, i know its really hard to go through. There is nothing a dr can do really, its too early to see anything on an u/s and its better to just let your body do its thing naturally.
I wish these things didnt happen to any of us, it just seems so unfair to start feeling hopeful and then have it taken away...its such an emotional rollercoaster.
Even though its an early loss, dont devalue your feelings at this time because of that. You have the right to feel sad and dissapointed so let yourself feel those emotions if you need to. Im thinking of you...

i have to really say thank you because you have been a really great support for me over the past couple of days, would have been a lot scarier if i didn't have someone to talk to who had been through the same thing before.:hug:

Hi there everyone. I haven't posted in the TWW thread yet but have been reading through during these last couple of weeks trying to keep my mind off things. But not sure that has worked!!
I'm nearing the end of my TWW and am obsessively POAS! All BFN and pretty sure I'm not pg this month, although I don't really have any evidence to support that theory! Still no sign of AF on it's way (due on Sun) but don't really feel anything yet either.
Have had one stillbirth last year our little girl Emily and another m/c at 8 weeks in Feb so really wanted to be pregnant to have a baby before the end of 2008 and now looking like that's probably not in the cards.
Going insane telling myself not to test until ATLEAST Monday when I'm late and wondering if I'll have the willpower!!
Also wanted to say thank you for all of you who post on here. Even though I havent' posted that much, it's been such a wonderful support knowing there are many others out there who know what I'm feeling.
