 sounds just like DH don't you love them though able to just shug off our comments like that
Not patient really just biding my time is all. I would love to get there tomorrow but I figured if I miss 2 AF then things are chugging along better than last time - I know logically it doesn't make any difference to what the outcome will be but I am hoping the long I leave it the more bub grows and the more chance of seeing something wonderful at the U/S - yeah I think I need a shrink  makes perfect logical sense in my mind though.
I cannot actually get in to see my preferred Dr until 26th April so I am seeing a new Dr (a woman Dr) on the 1st April. 15 days to go.
-
Ah, don't worry I know exactly what you mean! Perhaps we both need a shrink ;)
I had to put it out there as well, my cycle is 26 days long, which my naturopath reckons basically is sh*t because it would mean the embryo that pops out wont be very strong because it misses on 2 days of maturing...:dunno: Has anyone heard of that before?
-
Eek, I lost track of my subscriptions here after I just couldn't get on to BB for a couple days, so I was completely AWOL. But I've read up enough to say congratulations to Naenae! It's always great to see some new BFPs!
I'm doing fine, just spending most of my time curled up with books and playing the waiting game now. :) Like Rozzie said as well, I do get a bit of exercise and training getting up to go to the bathroom every two hours... I never thought that getting in and out of bed would take time and planning! "If I swing my legs over like this... and then I push up with my arms like this..." :D

Hi all
It has been quiet in here for a change!
Tildy - great to hear from you. Not long now :D
Teagz - from what I understand about cycles, it doesn't really matter how long your cycle is, but more, how long your luteal phase goes for. Anything less than 10 days is not ideal as it isn't enough time for the fertilised egg to implant. So for example, with a 26 day cycle, you would ideally ovulate on day 12-14. The time period after ov is your luteal phase and is usually about 14 days in a perfect world. The day of your cycle that you ovulate can vary due to illness, stress etc but your LP should be pretty much the same for every cycle. Not sure if that makes sense? Anyway, the only way you can know for certain what your LP is doing is to chart your cycles and the fertility friend website has HEAPS of info about all this and how to do a chart. I can't remember if you said you were interested in charting at all, but it might be worth a go if you are worried about your cycle length or want to see what your LP is. Hope that helps :)
Nae - you are such a patient woman, I can't believe it!! No way I would have been able to wait that long that's for sure, even just to POAS!
Diana - good luck for your scan on Friday. I can't wait to hear that you have seen a little bean in the right spot with a flickering heartbeat...
Hope everyone else is doing well. All good with me, especially as I watch my ticker
-
Teagz -- Jo is completely right, and your naturopath is, sorry, a bit undereducated it seems. I have always had a 26 day cycle. But it's the luteal phase of any woman's cycle that tends to be super regular, and a 26 day cycle certain doesn't mean I have 2 less days in the luteal phase. In the few charts that I did, I found that I pretty consistently ovulated on day 13, so still 14 days before the start of my next cycle, just like the "textbook" cycle. Plus, an LP of 12 days is not terrible either. Like Jo says, less than 10 days is apparently bad, but 11+ is considered good as far as I've read.
-
well... i'm hoping that I have misunderstood her. Either way she helped me loads with thrush before (and I can't keep ttc with thrush all the time :() so I'll just keep her on that track and leave the rest up to my Dr! :)
-
Just had to say Teagz that the egg comment is ridiculous... I'm sure she's a good naturopath but if she did a bit of research on reproductive endochronology she'd soon realise what she said makes no sense. Eggs start developing/maturing months in advance. Also, a 'normal' cycle is considered to be between 21-35 days. It's the luteal phase that can cause issues as Tildy said. A minority of women actually have a 28 day cycle. Mine has always been 26 days and I have ovulated on day 14 for both pregnancies, and the eggs seem to have been fine!!! So don't worry, the fact you have a regular, average cycle is great!

Hello,
Teagz, sorry to hear about the thrush, how annoying, that would make me crazy as well, can understand the tanty :) Better to sort this thing out once and for all so your healthy & pain free when you do conceive.
Tildy, glad to hear you are doing well. So close, feels like that time has flown by, but I guess not for you with that big tummy :D All the very best for when Kebab arrives.
Will AF arrived today & even though I did expect it, it has made me quite upset and on the verge of tears :(. Feeling quite sorry for myself at the moment. Anyway, all I can do is try again. I worked out that if I conceived next month bubs would be due very close to Christmas. I use to say that I wouldn't want a baby born so close to Christmas, but now I don't care, I just want a healthy one so bring on the Christmas Turkey I say :D
-
I'm glad you girls have said that! I wasn't looking forward to having to wait for my cycle to "regulate" to 28 days!
Thanks girls

Hey girlies,
It has been very quiet in here!! Sorry I've been MIA lately, have no excuse, but I have beeb lurking a bit though so I know what is going on....still feeling a bit off (no, I'm not UTD!!) I think it's the change in weather and my sinuses are really playing up (hence those stupid headaches lately....). Have bought myself a couple of fertility ornaments that proudly sit next to my bed and every night I talk to them and my angels and ask them to assist me in conceiving soon and bring home a healthy full term baby. I even hug my fertility crystal every night lol, I know, I need help.......
Anyhoo, a few persies....
Nae, I'm still here hunni!!!!! I can't believe how patient you are, lol. How many weeks you think you are now lovie??? I'm glad (lol), that you're feeling off with your pg symptoms, they say it's good when they're strong!! (although I hardly had any, but then again mum had two pg with no m/s or anything...). Can't wait for your proper BT confirmation and I think you might be going for an u/s soon?????
Teagz, I'm so glad you're getting your poor wee body into better shape with the natural remedies. I don't know much about luteal phases or what your naturopath said about the eggie not having a good chance of sticking because you have a 26 day cycle??? but it sounds like the other girls know what they're talking about so just listen to them hun.
It does look like we'll be TTC buddies in June, can't wait hun!!!! We should be in great shape by then :D
Megan, sorry that AF arrived hun, but never give up because next month is a clean slate and a new opportunity for a BFP hun. I had a luagh about the xmas turkey though, he he. Lots of babydust and sticky vibes for you lovely for next month

Jas, I hope you're enjoying your pg and I'm sending you lots of positive and relaxing vibes x

Lan, are you out there hun????? Please come and say helloooooooooo!
Rozzie, Jo, Tildy, Sue, big hello to you lovely mummas, I am always in an awe looking at your beautiful tickers and imagining this will hopefully be me one day

Beata, FYI... Rose Quarts are meant to be the super dooper mother of all crystals in the fetility department :) I'm a crystal-holic, but haven't cracked them out in ages... I should get back into it! I need all the healing I can get!! ;)
I used to have one of those fertility god ladies (i can't remember her name) and what sometimes freaks me out is DF knocked it over once and it's head smashed off... hmmm.
-
Thanks hun, the lady gave me one called unakite, it's really beautiful one with green and pink in it. I have heaps of rose quartz crystals in my house somewhere (I just love them!!!) and it might be the crystal for May???? so I'll dust them off and put them next to my bed too. I also got the Crystal Bible on the weekend, it's so cool and has all these interesting and beautiful crystals in it. I am getting to know them all ;)
-
I love natural quartz the best, I have a really pretty wand one that still has bits of moss or something on it.
They reckon when you're picking them out you should pick the one that you're "drawn" to first... iykwim. Oh I'll def have to dig mine out now!
-
Let's go crystal hunting together!!!(as in egg hunting lol). I have some others too somewhere, ooooh, I'll look too!
Think I'm off to bed now, I'm starting to see double lines in my posts....he he. Have a good nite hun, and put those crystals next to your bed tonight xxx
-
Megan  I know how very disappointing it is to see that witch and I am truly very sorry she dared to show her ugly face this month. The biggest vibes are coming your way for next month hun x
-
Aarrrghhhh!!! Don't you hate it when you post a really good long post, and BB eats it up??
Meagan, I'm so sorry AF arrived, I missed your post before  Have a cry if you need to, I bawled my eyes out when AF arived for me last month. I wish with all my little heart that you do get that christmas bubba :)
Girls, it's very quiet in here? What am I meant to do when work gets boring when you're not all chattering?? ;)
-
hey lovely's nae congratulations hope the time flies by. Hope everyone else is doing well. Teagz bloody thrush you would think we deal with enough that they could give us a free pass on all the extra's hey.
afm af arrived today finally have been spotting since friday was booked in for more bloods today but thankfully she arrived and i don't have to have them done so have started drugs again today have a scan next friday then fet on friday the 3rd of april so here we go again. but this one will work that is what i'm going to keep telling myself. dh took me away on sunday night for the night it was nice just to go for dinner and a movie together and then we went shopping yesterday and i got 2 more gund teddy bears they are so cute. and i know what everyone means about the pregnancy announcement they seem to be everywhere at the moment, i normally don't mind but one really got up my nose on friday someone that lives in our street came up and told me she was pregnant and then proceeded to say that if we could get pregnant more easily it would be good because then she would know someone with a baby that would be born around the same time as her's, i felt like saying sorry that we are inconvienceing you by not falling pregnant, but as normal i just stood and smiled. Hope you all have a lovely day and will chat soon. ps diana when do you go for your first scan?
-
Dee, erk. What a lovely neighbour!! I don't like it when people go out of their way to tell me and/or hide it from me (which has been the case twice!)... My friend who told me recently she was UTD called me specicially to tell me her news because she thought I'd get upset if I heard it from someone else. And I'm stoked for them, I am! But, I don't really like being singled out like that... and I know she was doing the right thing, but yeah... I think I'd rather just hear it on the grape vine, to be honest!
