When did you deliver your twins & suffering from PDS
Hi all. I am nearly 22 weeks pregnant with fraternal twins and was wondering how far everyone got in their pregnancies. My Obstetrician says he wont let me go over 38 weeks but am not sure whether I could last that long. I dont want my babies to come too early but I am suffering from Symphysis Pubis Dysfunction (SPD) which is extreme pain in my lower back, groin, hip, vagina and buttocks. Mostly on my left side. Sometimes I cant walk the pain is so severe. I am worried that if I cant get any relief from it that I wont be able to give birth vaginally as the pain will be too severe. But am really curious to see how many of you went right through till 38 weeks. Thanks Kell.
Hi
At the moment I'm 35 weeks. The Dr won't let me go past 38 weeks. I'm surprised that I've got this far as I've already had 3 children and after 3 children things are not the same as what they use to be.
Hi AnxiousKell-Sorry to hear that you are having so much trouble. I am sorry I dont know how far you will manage to go and how you will go with vaginal delivery, however as an average most twins (though not all) are born between 34-36weeks gestation.
Umm there is not much that I can say to help you with the SPD, but have you thought of asking your ob for a temporary disabled parking permit, so that if you have to go out, you will be able to park closer to the shops, drs etc.
hi I have not had twins, but had SPD with my last and went 9 days over due date. I suggest you see a physio for it as I got a support band to help with the pain. I did deliver vaginally but did need pethadine for the SPD not the actual contractions. I will say that my DH did push my hips together during contractions and that helped heaps with the pain early on.
