Hi, Has anyone had any twins or want to have twins? I would love to hear any stories about how they found it easy or difficult as I would love to have twins one day but just have no idea as how many mums can handle two bundles of joy? :?

I would like to have twins, does that count?!
ROFLMAO Sarah my MIL would love you she keeps harassing me for a set of twins and then tells me she would be happy if I had one set of twins and then a set of triplets...all I can say is DREAMING LOL!

I would love to have twins!
However, Im also very much aware of the risks involved in carrying and giving birth to twins. I know 5 people with twins and 2 of those sets have medical problems, 1 set - quite severe due to underdeveloped kidneys.
But on the up side they wouldnt trade them for the world! And they are gorgeous - but a handful is an understatement! One of my friends who just had twin girls in December, and has an almost 3 year old too, says she hasnt slept since they were born, and is lucky to remember her name some days!
Lozza, Sarah -- Hope you get the twins you want, one day!![]()

A good friend of ours for her first pregnancy had 1 child, then about 2.5 years later on had twins.
She said she would love to have more children, but her family has a bit of a history of having 1 child for the first pregnancy, then twins second and triplets with their 3rd pregnancy. That would be enough to scare me too!!

Keen - Dunno about hoping she gets it - Lozza is my little sister - I wonder where she'll go to for help? LOL!!! j/k Lil' Sis![]()

Yeah, fair enough Kell. If Lozz gets her twins, then you better get both your hands at the ready! #-o but \/

I would LOVE to have twins. I just wanna know what the whole experience is like iykwim. Have twns in my family, it always skips a generation. So my generation is due to have a set but no one has. I'm the youngest, so it's only me that could have the twins, if it were to happen coz the others are all finished having their families.
Aaron's aunt has twins. It was bizarre, she had never dated anyone seriously then all of a sudden she went out with this guy... 9 months after they got together they got married, got pregnant on the honeymoon, so within 18months she went from being single to married with two babies!!!
Keen, she had lots of problems carrying them. Apparently it put alot of pressure on her heart so she has been told it's too risky for her to try & get pregnant again. She's happy with that though, cos she got her pidgeon pair in one go!
Hi there am a proud mum of twins, :twingirl: and will tell you all about it, here goes ( deep breath) Found out at 11 week scan, MYGOD two little peanuts, proud beamimg us!! Were identical, so no hereditary factor (are a "freak of nature" none in family at all) NOW you are high risk, especially being Biamniotic, monochrionic twins, ( or as DH puts it Double yolker) Monthly scans, to check for twin to twin transfusion ( where one pushes blood back through placenta to other, one gets fat, other starves - only identical prob) Scan takes about 1 hr each time. ALL pg symptoms worse than singleton. Stomach feels like can of worms, NEVER a time where there wasn't movement. Up to toilet every hr from conception to birth, No room for things like lungs (hard to breath) or stomach (whats food?) everything just magnifyed++++ Premature ( not uncommon) but no other health probs, lucky us!! On bad days would think TG Don't have triplets. I had 2 bb's for feeding, two arms for hugging, And at night 2 parents for sharing, Family support invaluable. Ummm, what else. Oh yes STAR FACTOR. can't go ANYWHERE without being stopped. The daftest questions,. Are they twins?? They don't look identical (one's laughing ones crying?) 2 hrs to buy bread n milk. THE PUSHER saved my life, can't carry two anywhere, just too hard. DOUBLE TROUBLE made me want to kill!!!!LOL Thanks muchly double the love!!! Things don't take twice as long though, if your making lunch for 1 , 2nds not a big deal, ditto nappies etc. They had to cry, you just can't be doin 2 things at once all the time( ie nappies) at the same stage most of the time *( crawling etc) They love each other to death, and always have a playmate. Are 6 yrs old now, and have differnt issues, same class same activities etc!!! After having a singleton, feel sorry for the twins, coz they just didn't get as much "me" time as the 1 does, but life certainly was busy. As with anything positives and negatives. If u have any other Q's just ask, I can Talk!!!![]()
Wow that sure was interesting...
Last night I was sitting at my Mum's house talking to her & I could feel a foot (I assume ) at my left rib cage so I put my hand there & Mum says it's nothing so put's her hand there & her eyes lit up & she said Yep I can feel something!!! It's moving in there!
I can't wiat for scan but will be gobsmacked if there is more than one, but will love them... ALL as much as anyone loves thier kid's! Even on bad days, can you just remind me of that though!!!
Fingers crossed for you. We didn'y suspect twins at all, but finding out is like xmas. Its as if your finding out your pg all over again. Look forward to hearing the results :flower:
Ok, so I've been absent for a week or so, but the question is... Are you having twins Tracey?
Cheers,
Rachel
Nope just the one!!! But as the placenta is covering the back, baby is pushed up the front & so that's why I can feel things already & am definately showing!!!
All is growing perfectly, we are happy with the one !!
Congratulations on the bubs, if all is healthy, thats all we ever need hey? I wish you all the best for the rest of your pg! :bellyrub:
Congratulations on one beautiful healthy bub, Tracey.
