So doc thinks I might be having multiples !!!

I went for my 10 week check up and she looks at me and says " You look a lot bigger than you should for this stage, I might just have a little listen and see if we can hear anything". I joked that I'd been joking around with DH and friends that it looks like i'm carring twins haha! And she says " well we won't hear a heart beat this early but if we do it's triplets" and then laughed like she was joking then....we hear a heartbeat She then said "Maybe you're more advanced than you think?" And I said I can't be because I know when we conceived and I know when I had my period...Then she said "It may mean multiples" and "If you wern't already booked in for an U/S I'd be ordering one"

I'm scared and excited at the same time.

But does this sound right to you??

How did you find out ?

    We find out on Tuesday

That's so exciting! Good luck for the scan on Tuesday

From a personal note, my twins were not diagnosed until much later (21 weeks) and up to that point frequent abdominal examinations didn't reveal anything extra. A friend of mine, similar to you, was sent for an early scan due to fundal height and audible HB but she only had one baby. So it could go either way but still very exciting

How fabulous, scary, exciting and terrifying all at the same time. Best of luck with your scan. Can't wait to hear how many babies you're growing.

So had my scan and it seems I'm having a baby the size of Danny De Vito ! Glad everything looks fine and baby looks healthy so here we go growing one big healthy baby !
My reply is a little late because my mum ended up in hospital with heart failure so I've been a little consumed. She's going to be ok but she almost died so have been through a little bit of a whirlwind in the last week....
Thanks for all your support and kind words and excitement. Now I can stop looking at twin prams

I found out I was having my twins at a scan at 7 weeks, but I didn't actually start showing until I was 12 weeks then I just popped and kept growing and growing and growing.

Everyone carries differently so could be one or it could be more. Good luck for Tuesday... But if it is more than 1 then remember that it is double the work but more than double the love

Wow - that's amazing. I was asked over and over if I was carrying twins by both professionals and strangers but I think I just got big and looked big. The heartbeat thing though and the GP assuming triplets? Well that would freak me out!! Best wishes and can't wait to hear

The triplet comment the doc made was said in a joking way haha! I guess we'll just take it as it comes and ce la vie !
