Hi everyone, we found out yesterday at our 12wk scan we are having identical twins!! Now we're over the shocked we are soooo excited!! Can't wait to find out what we're having (we already have 2 boys). But was wondering do u feel twins move earlier considering there's 2 in there???
Hi, I didn't feel any movement until about 18 weeks, and then good strong movement at about 20 weeks, though it was my first pregnancy and I didn't really know what to look for, hopefully I will know next time . Wishing you all the best, such exciting news!
thanks!! the day after i posted this i felt them for the first time!! i was leaning over dressing my 2 1/2yr old and they obviously didnt like being squished!! lol i was 12wks 2 days and have felt them more since, mainly in the evening when i'm sitting on the couch.
I recognised my twins' movement finally by around 26 weeks, despite them being bigger than average expected size at ultrasounds, and very active. I reckon I just wasn't sure what to recognise.
I'm now 15 weeks preg with my second set of twins (first set will be either just about 2, or have turned 2 when the next twins arrive), and recognised flutters from about 9 weeks. Asked Dr if this was possible and she confirmed it was entirely possible, especially given the way they were moving around when we looked at them briefly on U/S at 10 weeks. I'm now feeling stronger movements than flutters, more like they're turning and rolling about.
You're in for a treat. Twins are hard work, but fascinating to watch in the way they interact with each other. I'll be looking for advice though from those who have 2 sets of twins close together.... Ugh!!
