How would you ask this on the invite???/

I'm thinking about having just a luncheon rather than a full on baby shower.
We don't need anything for number 2 but there are a few things that we would like to get eg. sunshade for pram etc. so things that can be quite expensive and i wouldn't expect my friends to pay for in full.
So I was thinking about putting something with the invite saying we don't need anything for the baby but if you would like to get us something, a gift voucher at XXX baby store would help us. (we have laybyed some stuff already) or should i just do it as a wishing well (or other creative baby related thing) ????

i reckon wishing well is nice and easy. ppl dont have to travel to get a gift card from that store and they know that anything they do give will help you guys get the extras for the pram etc...you can put it along hte lines of need to 'pimp our pram' LOL!

    Yes, I agree with Cassius.

Most ppl might also be more willing to use a wishing well because then they won't think they will be judged based upon how much they've given. (I know you won't judge them, but I know some may).
