    engagement gift??

I would really appreciate some suggestions on what to give our friends for their engagement.

They have been together for 7 years, lived together for 2 years, have everything they need. DH has been friends with the guy since high school so we are all pretty close. Looking to spend around the $50 mark.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions..

We got alot of gift vouchers for places like Bunnings, local kitchen shops, Retravision/Harvey Norman.

Also the glasses with our names on them.

If you can afford it, perhaps a weekend away, accomodation?

if they'vebeen living together for ages, they probably won't need anything for the house so why not some way of pampering them? dinner voucher for a local restaurant or massage vouchers if they're into that sort of thing... we got lots of presents but the massage vouchers were awesome!

When we got engaged, good friends of ours gave us a silver cake knife with the date of our engagement inscribed on it. We used it to cut our wedding cake and had that date put on it too. We have since added the kids birthdates and we used it at their first birthday. we just kept going along the blade of the knife with the inscriptions and it makes a great family keepsake.

You cant go wrong with gift vouchers however we were given a "romance pack".
This included, body chocolate, massage oils, scented candles, choc fondue kit with punnet strawberries, champagne and bubble bath.
    We loved it!

Our gift that we give to almost all of our friends for engagements is a fondue set It's something that's nice to have but very few people will go out & buy one on their own.
