Help! I?m getting married next August and I don?t have my invitations picked out yet. But since it?s summertime and people plan their vacations early, I?m afraid that there will be scheduling conflicts if I don?t get busy. Should I send out ?save the date? cards?
I would send out save the date cards, I have been considering this myself as I have friends/family interstate who will need to organise flights and accomodation etc.
If you have the date time and venue picked, there is no reason why you cant send out invites now.
But if you havent then I would definately send out date cards now. there is nothing worse that people not being able to come to your wedding due to earlier commitments.
Gives people enough time to plan and pay for flights etc if needed or organise babysitters and what they are going wear! lol
hi kellyjack,
we move got married in tassie with most of our famliy from Qld and us living in NSW (confused yet lol). So i knew people would have to travel so i sent our invites in January for our October wedding.
It was also alot eaiser for organising cos we knew pretty well how many people were coming!
but if you don't want to go the whole hog - like the other girls said - just send save the date cards.
