What should I write on a christening card?

Okay inside the card it says 'With love on your baby's christening' but I would like to write something else as well.

    Its for an Anglican christening

    Any suggestions???

Well a christening/baptism is about professing a your devotion to raising the child of that faith so I would say something like
'May your journey to your faith be of hope, peace, love and healing'
Is it a child or an adult? Is the message for the child or more for the parent?

Thats another thing, who do I address the card to? I was thinking the parents and the child???

It is for my cousins baby who is 6 months old.

    Thanks for your suggestion Cookie!

I think it is important to address it to the bub but make sure there is a sentimental message to the parents as well. Honestly we only got cards from his Godparents at DS' christening so I can't even get an example for you!

I address the card to the person being Christened.

Some ideas to put in the card include:

May God bless you on your Christening Day and may you always know His love
Special prayers for your Christening Day
So pleased you are joining the Christian Family - I pray you will always find love and peace within
May you be washed clean of your old self and come to God in truth as you grow
