LOL!!! Ohhhhhhh I get it
If you love it then go for it! Its your day :) I think its beautiful1
We had At last by Etta james....I still get all emotional when I here it....we wanted to have My happiness by powderfinger cause it really summed up our relationship but we thought it was a bit too sad :P
We had 6 for different parts of our Wedding!
"When you love someone" by Bryan Adams
"Everything" by Michael Buble
"Feels like home" by Chantelle Kreviazuk
"Amazed" by Lonestar
"From this moment" by Shania Twain
and "No one" by Alicia Keys...
Love this thread PZ - song is gorgeous by the way.
Oh, so good. I can't get enough Otis.
Nice!
Ahhhhhhhh, beautiful Joeve. Make me a bit teary though, all of JB's songs do.
We got married in Vegas (Elvis and everything) so naturally I walked down the aisle to Love me Tender and we exited as man and wife to Viva Las Vegas. Very funny.
Though our 'real' songs for each other are:
Always on my Mind, Pet Shop Boys (him for me)
Man who sold the World, Nirvana (him for me - dating phase, 11 years ago!)
Let's Stick Together, Bryan Ferry (me for him)
Sunday Kind of Love, Etta James (me for him - At Last makes me feel all romantical too).
More, more!
LOL our best man dressed up as Elvis and sang I cant help falling in love with you for us!
We're not married yet but the song we will dance to will probably be our song which is Take My breath Away (cant remember who the original singer is) but its from DP's favourite movie Top Gun and he said that the song reminds him of me. Other wise the song Lucky by Quinn and Sam from Glee as i think its a gorgeous song.
I want this:
YouTube - Nick Cave - Into My Arms
And possibly this:
YouTube - Depeche Mode "A Question Of Lust (minimal)" video
But more than likely this:
YouTube - Labyrinth - As The World Falls Down (David Bowie)
;)
Bowie. Yes!
That's really sweet.
I still think the bit in Love Actually where the best man organising musicians to sing/play 'all you need is love' That's awesome.
We had an old fashioned theme for our wedding (check out the photos on FB), so our music reflected that. Our dance was 'Sway' by Dean Martin.
I walked down the aisle to 'Po Kare Kare Ana', a Moari love song
During signing we had 'What a Wonderful World' by Louis Armstrong and 'When I fall in love' by Nat King Cole
At the end of the ceremoney we had 'I feel good' by James Brown along with a confetti cannon
Other songs we thought of using included Aerosmith "I dont want to miss a thing' and 'Stand by me' but we wanted to stick to our theme.
Re: the Tim Minchin song, it's sweet and made me tear up. If it works for you, use it.
We had 2 as well. DH was a DJ for 15yrs and insisted on it .. (One is too short, Three is too long).
So in order.
Come What May
and
At The Beginning
Wanted to add - I walked down the "aisle" in a very 'non traditional' way. This was that song... Yes, the wedding music was heavily influenced by my fangurlism
FFX2 OST
Hmm, better explain that what I am saying here is that if this is the song you want, then that is what you want. No music is out of place at a wedding, unless the couple do not want it played.
But for you and your DF, I think on the aisle, you should look up Silver Mercurys version of Pachabels Canon. Pure Awesome.
No she can't do that coz there's a thread here somewhere about my Labyrinth wedding to be and that would just be too weird *giggle*
Danish wedding march Dowm aisle
Love changes everything, The prayer (Anthony Caliia) and This is the momment (all sang by my brother)
Vivaldi Spring Up aisle
You raise me up by Josh Groban, love it. Bridal waltz
Heaven the acousic version by DJ Sammy, True Love by Elton John & I think there was another one, but can't remember lol (I'm sure there were 3 songs)
