Wedding Songs...

Hi all,
A quick post from my alter ego, Bridezilla

Throw me your best wedding song ideas please. Nothing too soppy- no Celine. I have to choose three - one for walking down the aisle, one for signing the certificate thingy, one for the first dance bit.

Any and all ideas welcome- this is starting to stress me out a bit....

It is so hard to try and pick something...

I walked down the aisle to the instrumental version of The Verve's Bittersweet Symphony...it was so dramatic (a bit like me sometimes and sounded so "momentous" too. Absolutely perfect and a lot of people commented afterwards about how different it was.

We walked out of the church to a funky version of "Going to The Chapel" performed by The Dixie Chicks. Our first song was a bit more "soppier", Amazed by...oh my goodness I cannot remember the bands name now.

DH wanted "Highway to Hell" as our entrance into the reception but I put my foot down to that instead we walked into "Another One Bites The Dust".

Have been to a wedding where the bride walked into the Split Enz song "Message to My girl" and that was really really effective too.

We had Bittersweet Symphony (love htat music), Forever and Ever Amen by Randy Travis and Chasing Cars for the ceremony.

I walked down the isle to 'Buon Giorno Principessa' - an instrumental from the score from the movie 'Life Is Beautiful (la Vita e Bella)'

We had 2 songs when we signed the registry - 'L'Abitudune' by Andrea Bocelli & Helena... and 'Every Time I See Your Face' by Babyface & Kenny G.

Our bridal dance was to 'Fallen' by Lauren Wood (its the song from Pretty Woman when she walks through the foyer of the hotel in the red dress on the way to the opera )

Pachelbel's Canon is beatiful for walking down the aisle, my friend had it a few weeks ago

YES!! Such a beautiful piece of music. I love it!

When we renew our vows in a few years we'll be having our actual wedding as we didn't have one the first time around.

Imagine the scene from labyrinth at the masquerade ball... thats the theme for our wedding, with a few other alternative aspects like orb juggling, burlesque, sword swallowing and fire twirling.

The piece of music we plan to have when walking down the aisle is Haydn Sonata 49 2nd movement it was made famous in Interview with a Vampire... YouTube - Interview With the Vampire - Lestat Playing Piano If I could source a harpsichord to play it I would be even happier

Our waltz would be "As the world falls down" YouTube - David Bowie - As the world falls down and we plan to play "Underground" YouTube - Labyrinth - Underground as we leave
