Clothes for first holy communion? (Catholic)

I'm desperate for some advice re appropriate clothing for first holy communion.

Did/will your daughter have the whole white dress shebang or will you just opt for a nice set of clothes (formal) without following the white tradition?

When my daughter gets her Holy Communion in a few years time I will be choosing to put her in "the whole white dress shebang". I am a stickler for tradition I suppose hence my reasoning, and to tell you the truth all the Holy Communions I have been to/seen all the girls are dressed that way. Didnt know that people did it differently?

When she has her Confirmation then it will be just formal clothes.

I recently attended a friend's daughters Holy Comunion and all the girls were dressed in white. Some more over the top than others, some with veils, some without. Some of the dresses were so pretty and they looked beautiful. You could ask the school? I know the boys all wore the same ties (supplied by the school). Good luck I'm sure she'll look beautiful.

i remember myn clearly mom bought me and my sister a white head piece with white rose buds all over and a nice floral dress it was not white as i guess she couldn't afford it we had the most prettiest shoes too with bows on them.

all the other girls were dressed like, brides big white dresses some with head pieces some with veils too some even had small trains on thier gowns. hope this info helps
