What should I do? Need some quick advice!

I just picked my sons christening outfit up from the shop today.
When I opened it I noticed a blue line (like from a pen) on the collar. Its only fairly small stain but the outfit cost me $180 dollars! I know the stain wasnt there when he first tried it on two weeks ago. Should I take the outfit back and ask for a new one? Do I have the right to do that or is it my fault for not checking the outfit before I left the shop?

I would take it back... esp seeings as you paid so much for it. If it wasn't on there when your little man first tried it on you definatley have the right!

How annoying for you. I would definitely take it back and point it out to them and see what they say. Hopefully they agree to exchange the outfit if not I would get a bit more forceful (while still being polite) and tell them you want a new outfit as it isnt good enough providing you one with pen on it especially considering you paid $180 for it. If they dont come to the party I would probably ring Consumer and Business Affairs and find out exactly what my rights are.

    Good luck

I would take it back, you paid for it. You shouldn't have to check it before you leave the shop, you bought a new item & a new item you should get. They should understand, esp is you take it back sooner than later.

I took the suit back and the lady managed to remove the stain with baby wipes!! So there was no drama at all!
